Artemis Hotel Apartments in Hersonissos

A great hotel in the center of Hersonissos. It is 1 minute away to the beach. It has its own parking lot and a swimming pool. The breakfast is delicious and has lots of options. The rooms are big and clean. Excellent staff with Mr. Konstantin always there to help with anything you need.

Very nice hotel, definitely recommend
When it comes to place to stay during vacation trip I want to feel comfortable, almost like home. And that's what I felt in this hotel. Host and all the workers were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nice and clean, they looked cared for. The pool area is also clean and well maintained. I especially enjoyed the food - even though the selection wasn't too big but everything was very tasty (and I'm quite a picky eater, so I can be hard to please when it comes to food). Generally for each meal you get several options for protein, side, vegetables. They also cook traditional Greek dish quite often. Big shout out to hotel's cat Garfield (who is also a local manager) , who's a bit grumpy and meows at everyone, but is very serious when it comes to food and his job. The only downside for me is that wi-fi was quite slow in room areas, but it is better in common areas and it didn't ruin my positive impression.
It's a good hotel for family vacation, I'd be happy to come back.

Breakfast at the Top of History

If you're looking for the perfect place to enhance your vacation in Crete, this hotel is an absolute gem!

First of all, the apartments are incredibly cozy and just a 2-minute walk from the beach. They're ideally located - close enough to the main seaside road filled with restaurants, shops, and entertainment, yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle so you can truly relax. It was the perfect balance: we could enjoy a glass of wine at a nearby bar and then return to peace and quiet. The balcony doors are impressively soundproof - despite nearby music, we had no trouble sleeping.

The food was absolutely delicious. We prefer classic European cuisine, and the hotel delivered it with a wonderful Greek twist -flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. If you happen to miss breakfast, the staff are happy to prepare a lunch box for you, which is a lovely touch.

The location is also excellent -just off the main road with easy access to the bus station. It's close to the capital and many historic sites, so we didn’t even need to book expensive tours. We explored the island on our own with ease.

But without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was meeting the hotel owner, Konstantin. He is truly the heart and soul of the place. Warm, welcoming, and always ready to help - he gave us great recommendations, helped us organize trips, even lent us an umbrella! Thanks to him, we genuinely felt at home.

We’d love to return one day -this hotel was one of the main reasons our vacation was so special!

P.S. The title "Breakfast at the Top of History" isn’t just poetic - it’s literal! In the hotel’s main hall, there's a preserved ancient tomb, carefully maintained by the owner. It’s a unique and fascinating bonus for anyone who loves history - imagine enjoying your morning coffee right next to a piece of the past!

Konstantin and his crew were extremely friendly and helpful. They served us great. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was reasonable. Manager was full of sense of humours and extremely knowledgable of good places for food and visit. He offered us great places to visit. I also needed to print something and he went and spoke to a local shop to get me discount and service which was very nice of him. Overall I am very happy with the place and the treatment of manager and his staffs.

There’s Greek hospitality (which is already great) - and then there is Konstantin’s hospitality! Konstantin and his staff were fantastic. They make you feel so at home and apart of their family so quick!

Perfect hotel in a great location. Konstantin was so welcoming and provided us with some great intel about the best places, and the best beach. This is a small hotel, rooms are more than adequate, superb value for money, including breakfast. What more could you want? Oh yes, Garfield the cat keeping a close eye on the comings and goings. Clean, tidy hotel, would definitely go again.

The best place you can stay in in Crete! The location is more than perfect, the hotel is very clean is every way, from food, rooms, lobby to main entrance. The hotel owner Mr. Konstantin is the kindest person that you could know. He is very helpful and provided us with a lot of information and told us what to do, and where and where not to go. The staff are also very polite and attendant as soon as you need them, and Mr. Vagelis welcomed us warmly, and didnt make us wait a second.

We spent 5 nights at Artemis and absolutely loved it. You get everything what you would expect from a 4-star place. Our room was cosy and clean, AC working all the time without any issues. Everybody working there was very nice and helpful, especially Konstantin: gave us advice on where to eat, ordered taxi for us, helped us with printing boarding passes. I would surely recommend the place to everyone!
