Where to stay with pets in Heraklio Town

The hotel is in an ideal location. But I would never call this a 5 star hotel the toilet was dirty the swimming pool was small. For 5 stars i expected alot more

Centrally located. Lots of facilities in good condition. Breakfast was very good.

One of the authentic hotels in crete island. It was built in 1964 originally. Hotel staffs are friendly and professional. Only weak point is GYM 🏋️‍♀️ facilities. Relatively small and lack of machines

Smell from the gym is not good

However once we got to the hotel they told us that they have one but only a very very small one, basically they refused our car and told us to park it somewhere else

Honest decent hotel but definitely doesnt deserve 5 stars, would not go there again

It is evident that there is attention to detail to make the guests as comfortable as possible. What takes the hotel to the highest level is the wonderful service of the staff

I really really like this hotel. The pool! My sweet balcony overlooking the housing and in the distance both some volcano of some sort and the Aegean in the other direction. The air con worked like a dream

The hotel is in a great location in the city center, convenient for shopping and visiting museums. The sink is in the bedroom, and the bathroom contains both a toilet and shower

Lastly, the location it’s a 5+ because near the hotel it’s everything you need, kiosk,cinema,bar, stores and more

And can I explain how amazing the location is located! It has a supermarket and mini market next to it with a nice restaurant which have some nice gyros, All I can say is i totally recommend this place, Thank you for this lovely experience for our first time in Greece!

The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony - rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are changed every 2 days. The air con worked perfectly too which is vital in the scorching Greek weather

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

The hotel itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful island of Crete

As soon as we had a first look of the hotel and came inside I was greeted with some amazing staff and made us feel very comfortable for our first time, then as we made it to our room we felt so heartwarming with how clean they tidied the room for us! Then as we woke up in the morning we went and had a absolute delicious breakfast with a variety of choices

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

The breakfast area is small but beautiful and the girl with long black hair and glasses who serves is excellent, always smiling and kind, excellent! The hotel is located in a very central location, you can go everywhere on foot

Good location for going to Heraklion Bus station. I Don't understand the structure of shower room with bed. Hard to understand what make here five stars. But reasonable price at off season

Breakfast was a real highlight, offering fresh food, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs cooked to your preference. On two early excursion days, the team kindly prepared generous lunch bags to keep us fuelled while out and about

The room I booked was great, the bathroom was clean, and it had a balcony, but it was a bit noisy at night because it's near the road. Also, it's a bit far from the beach, so the sea view isn't great

Excellent location and service. Only downside is that the showering area in the toilet is too small such that i left the door open to bathe. Window lock is broken too. Besides these, i had a good stay.

Due to jet lag, we missed the buffet but that was ok, we were in a good location and found a great spot nearby for a coffee and pastry combo

We dropped by your resort (Ethereal White Resort, Heraklion) and was greeted by Chrisanthi at reception and who we explained our situation. She immediately gave us information on availability and cost

The only observation with the room was there was limited space to lay our suitcases for easy access but in reality, not a big issue

However, the service level of the front desk is poor, and the professionalism is insufficient, especially the young lady on duty in the afternoon. We booked three rooms for 7 people

We opened our luggage and packed up and changed rooms again. We stayed for three days, but there were only two bottles of bottled water in the refrigerator (two-person room), and they were not refilled after cleaning

We negotiated with her, saying that it was the hotel policy to only provide free bottled water for one day, and guests would have to buy it on the first floor in the future

We even took 2 more pieces on purpose, but it turned out to be a bit sour when we ate it, an overnight watermelon in summer; in addition, we stayed for two days, and 2 drinking water bottles were provided on the first day, but not on the second day

Great location, pet friendly with super friendly staff We stayed for 3 nights with our (small) dog. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The bed also very comfortable. The staff super friendly and helpful

They were also very friendly to our dog. The location is great, very close to everything in the center. Overall, great stay, we could not have asked for more

I was tired from traveling, so I chose a centrally located hotel with front desk service, which was acceptable

The Olive Green Hotel is a clean, friendly and helpful place to stay, in a great location in the middle of the best parts of Heraklion

It was nicely centrally located and not overcrowded. The restaurant next door is highly recommended, offering a variety of dishes; you even get a discount if you're a hotel guest

You can't beat Olympic for the location, nor for the price. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was fine

An excellent location. Very easy to take a bus to the beach. Just a short walk from the excellent Archaeological Museum. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast perfectly acceptable.

Really nice hotel, we only stayed one night but had wished we stayed longer. We booked day of and check in was very fast and efficient. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Elevator to carry luggage up and down

Olympic has a pleasant terrace on the top floor, where you can sit and read and watch the planes take off from the nearby HER airport

Most of all, the staff was respectful, kind, helpful, and attentive! Gave us some complimentary bits and bobs for our honeymoon which we greatly appreciated. It felt like a real high-class, high-touch experience

My wife and I traveled around Crete for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It’s cozy, historic and luxurious. Their breakfast was also possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had anywhere.

In all our years of travel we have never experienced a combination of warm heartedness coupled with professionalism and genuine friendliness in one. From the reception to the staff at breakfast we were met with happiness

We watched the sun set and each morning we were filled with excited anticipation of the new ships in the harbour. And this all with never hearing a sound from outside unless we opened the terraces doors and windows

The cleaning staff we're especially forthcoming and kind. Our views from our room facing the harbour was outer worldly. Panoramic views of the Harbour, the Port, the Ocean and the ancient walls kept us in awe

Loved the location. You hear the church bells which add to the charm. The rooms are soundproof when you shut the balcony doors. Also great location to walk around the city center.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices

Everything was fine. Hotel management is very kind and efficient. It is located in one of the most convenient areas of Heraklion town as well. I have nothing to complain about.

Excellent location in the heart of central Heraklion, 5-10min walk to Lion Square with many eateries and cafes. Best is Bus stop to/from airport across the road.  Friendly staff.

They helped print boarding passes, gave directions, and stored our luggage. Seeing that we were tired, they even checked us in early. The breakfast was also very rich. I had a very positive impression of Heraklion

The room offered everything needed, hot shower, toiletries, plenty of loo roll towels and a fridge. Balcony with table and chairs. They also provided a decent hot and cold buffet to suit almost all tastes

Located literally 2 minutes walking from the beach, it’s not far from the city centre. I’ve been able to reach by bus the main attractions (such as the amazing Archeological Museum, the Knossos palace, etc

But this place got its charisma, friendly people and again - the greatest location! Very good combination of price and outcome

In terms of location, there’s a very good grocery store nearby, which is convenient. Dining options in the immediate area are limited, though

Fantastic hotel, very historic with a lot of charm and character. Rooms perfectly modern, all with balconies with sea-views. Pool perfectly clean and beach is on your doorstep

My room was incredible, with panoramic views that made every morning feel special. The staff were always polite and had big smiles, which made the stay even more enjoyable

I spent a week at this hotel during the summer of 2025, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Waking up to the stunning sea view just steps away was a dream

The hotel also offers a few bars situated throughout the site, a pool bar open during pool opening hours, the main reception bar which is double sided, with one side in the reception area, and one opening out to a delightful courtyard with beautiful trees and bushes picked out beautifully at night time with well placed lighting

For lunch there is a snack bar which is the best we have seen in 10 years taking our families on all inclusive holidays. It offers a smaller buffet style similar to the main restaurant, with different options daily

This is all complimented by a snack bar housed in a building by the main reception, which offers freshly prepared crepes and waffles (be warned the wait time can be a little long as they are cooked to order)

The jewel in the crown of the hotel, though, has to be the food. Most mornings and evenings we visited the main restaurant, which offered a wide range of delicious, freshly prepared, and tempting options

We were blessed with warm weather for the penultimate week of the season, and pleased with a resort that offered sufficient opportunity to keep our group engaged and entertained throughout

There was plenty of options to suit all guests from local delicacies, to children menus, and specific theme nights (which still had ample alternative offerings)

Very complete and varied breakfast. Dining room with a privileged view, with a very pleasant terrace. A special mention for Yiannis (restaurant), super friendly, attentive, professional and a good communicator

I would highly recommend staying at Castello if you visit Crete. I came from India and stayed here for a week. Very helpful staff (especially Harry and Eva, who helped me with getting settled here) and friendly vibe

Clean rooms and balcony with magnificent view

My stay at Castello Hotel was absolutely amazing! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-organized in every detail. The room was cozy, modern, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay

The hotel is on the good location, bus station and old city are close. Hotels parking is about 400m far away

Of course, you have to take a bus from Korea to get there, but it is a satisfactory place because all buses stop at the middle of the route, and the accommodations and breakfast are all the same

The beach is closeby (walking distance), there's a bus stop for the local bus service right in front of the hotel (with the name of the hotel) and there's plenty of small shops nearby to get those last items you need

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. Fantastic service with all the staff being friendly and helpful. Pool was really clean and nice. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and specialty the beach

The hotel had a busstop outside and it was really easy to access Heraklion city. I recommend this hotel to everyone thats wants to relax and eat good in a nice area

Also located very close to the airport, so transfer is quick and easy via bus, shuttle or taxi. There is a rent a car next to the hotel for those willing to cruise along the beaches of the island

The hotel has a great price/quality offer. Nothing super fancy, but a great location on decent price for a nice holiday, even in early spring or late September

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

Treated us like a member of the family, inviting us to complimentary raki every time we entered and left the hotel! He is full of great recommendations around the area and overall we were looking forward to seeing him everytime we returned from a day out

Although it is located on a main street, we heard no noise with the window closed (the air-conditioning was very effective). Also there are several restaurants within a several minute walk. Ask Sofia for recommendations

The greeting was amazing the place as a fantastic façade and very inviting, but sadly, the rooms are very dated, and there is housekeeping products all over the floors

The rooms are extremely dated and the crew covers are disgusting and should be replaced immediately. It was what I required, which is absolutely location to the port for an early morning ferry

The best choice for accommodation in Heraklion.. perfect location, staff always willing to serve. There is a snack bar at the accommodation for food and drinks.. simply perfect.

The room was amazing, staff regularly cleaned while we were out exploring the town and beaches. Best of all however was my man Nikos, the perfect host

The location seemed a bit far to me because it was off-season...but it could be very good during the season.

We didn't ask much but the floor would be lovely to be cleaned more nicer. They mopped ir but they scatered the dirt all over the places. They changed towels and bed sheet 1 time in 7 days

So the cleaning would be 5/10. Overall, i would rate the stay good. The place was pretty nice renovated. The location was good too near beach (10min walk). Bus stop close and market too

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance

We putted dirty towels on ground to be changed but they never picked it and just putted the dirty towels back on bed. Few times we went to them ask to take out trash or put more soap in room

Rate 5/10 -Pool i dont know if they cleaned it well or not but most of time it was not really clean from the water look, leafs in it, so we didn't even went in it
