We had a great experience with this hotel. The gentleman working the reception was so kind and helpful to us during our stay, going out of his way to assist us. We were very impressed by the hospitality we found here. The rooms are clean with an enclosed shower and good air conditioning. You can't beat Olympic for the location, nor for the price. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was fine. Olympic has a pleasant terrace on the top floor, where you can sit and read and watch the planes take off from the nearby HER airport. My only complaint was that the smallness of the bathroom meant no towel racks, only a couple of hooks behind the door.

Below average The nice lobby is deceiving. The rooms are very old and mine was very dark (the only windows faced a skylight well). Decently clean but I found a hair in the jam at breakfast (I guess that it can happen but it is the first time that it happens to me, in the more than 30 years in which I have been travelling). It will not be my choice at my next visit at Crete University.

The hotel entrance is not easy to find, but the island itself is not big, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. You can find the entrance by asking. It is very cost-effective and the transportation is also very convenient.

The location is central and the friendliness of the information office is top notch. The facilities were clean and there was a separate veranda where you could wash and dry your laundry, as well as a table and two chairs. The balcony was far too narrow, and there was only one folding chair that fit across the room, so it was impossible to chill on the balcony in the evening for two. The website says they have parking. BUT this is limited and we were told we’d have to drive to this offsite parking lot and walk back (about 10 minutes). Not a good option for walking to get your car in the dark at 6 am in unknown area, driving back to the hotel to then load up your luggage.

We had a really enjoyable holiday here at ideal accommodation for our needs as a family of three. The apartment was spacious, with two bedrooms, a kitchen area, bathroom with good hot water, two balconies and was excellent value for money. We enjoyed the food, service and value in the popular taverna downstairs in the evenings we ate there rather than take the short bus trip into the busy city of Heraklion...

Great service, fast and very friendly. Great decoration and the food is very good and reasonably priced. Everything you can expect from a Greek tavern.
