2 star hotels in Rethymno

The room was clean and towels and linen changed every other day. The staff were amazing and helpful. We didn’t use the pool area as was up and out every morning. All in all it was a lovely hotel and everwhere for us was within walking distance. Having the supermarket next door was a plus, couple of minutes walk to the beachfront, cafes and bars.

Only stayed for one night, the rooms were big and nice and clean. Staff were lovely and good selection at breakfast.

Really decent place and friendly staff. Only a couple of minutes away from the beach. And the breakfast selection was also very nice.

Stayed here whilst attending a family wedding at Agreco Farm recently. What a find! The apartment (210) was spacious, clean, tidy and well equipped, the air conditioning was incredibly efficient too. The sheets were changed every day and the towels every other day. A light, airy apartment with a balcony overlooking the pool. Great hotel with great staff! Everything was perfect and it was also close to an ATM and supermarket. Around a 5 minute walk to the beach. Perfect for those who want to swim and relax. Well recommended 😁

Lovely hotel. Fair price in Oct. Close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Maria at the front desk was delightful to deal with. Breakfast was more than enough for us. Room and balcony were spacious. We enjoyed the pool.

Good hotel for affordable price. It is very clean, cleaning is done every day, towels are replaced daily as well as bed sheets... Confortable beds and pillows, hot water is always available. Nice terrace for afternoon chill. All in all you get what you pay for and is good.

A 2-3 stars hotel (depending where you look) with very clean rooms, with good position in Rethymnon and with very nice staf. If you are looking for 4 stars amenities this is not the place for you. We have just returned from Rethymno and after moving hotels (wasn't happy with our first choice) found the Kleoniki Mare. We were offered the only room available, the top floor apartment with our own private terrace. We loved it! We were able to sunbathe, play our music and enjoy the quiet, play cards etc. We have booked to return next year as we were so happy with the apartment, location, staff ...

Hotel is clean and good quality. The woman at the reception was super nice. It is a small 10 minute walk to the old town restaurant and party area, but the walk is nice and at the beach. I’m the night it is quiet and a pool and aircondition helps to cool down. Worth the money :)

Great value for money! Slightly older building, but clean and well maintained. Good service. The kitchenette and air-conditioning worked. The free Wi-Fi is probably not fast enough because it kept freezing while all guests were awake. The pool is small but cleaned regularly. Probably the biggest strength for this hotel is its location. Everything else worked, but the noise from the traffic on the adjacent road was disturbing. The great sea view and large balcony were a plus. Good breakfast and nice hostess.

Mixed Good location outside of town. Parking in gravel lot down the street not bad. Short walk and a bit dangerous for unloading luggage in front of hotel in traffic. Owner very nice and very helpful with suggestions of what to do. Other staff helpful in suggesting restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Beach is rocky, but water refreshing. Bed linens could use updating...

This is a little beauty of a hotel. Quirky architecture. Really friendly. Right on the beach. The road outside is a bit of a challenge for pedestrians as it is a major easy west link for Rethymnon but once inside you are in a very nice place. Three levels of complimentary sunbeds to the sandy safe beach.

This was our third visit to Axos and we would not think of staying anywhere else in Crete! The staff team are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly and professional, and their genuine care for guests makes many people return time after time. We stayed in this hotel for 10 days. The hotel very friendly to families with children. Rooms very clean, cleaned daily every day. Change of towels with new ones every day. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Breakfast tasty and the products are fresh. Every now and then you can listen to live music in the bar, we had a great rock band. I highly recommend

I visit Crete often, I found this stay to be one of the best I’ve had. The hotel is quiet and very peaceful, but the staff are unbelievably helpful. I had some issues with my hire car and Mike phoned the company for me and translated, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, it’s been my favourite stay so far while in Crete.

I booked my flight just two days before departure, and this hotel happened to be available — what a find! It’s hands down the best value-for-money accommodation I’ve experienced. From the stylish, intimate design and excellent service to the beautiful pools, every detail exceeded expectations. One of the best last-minute decisions I’ve ever made.

Really good experience met really friendly, accommodating and warm staff. Rooms were very big almost like a b&b. Food was amazing freshly cooked upon request. Breakfast had lots of variety definitely worth having. Beach spot was 5minutes away with food and beverage service with complimentary snacks i.e crisps. Cocktails are reasonably priced. Overall would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing...

The staff are very friendly, helpful, and polite. Beds are comfy, they are cleaning the rooms every day (including changing sheets, towels). The beach is very close, the hotel has 2 pools and a jacuzzi as well. Location is good, in a quiet area but everything is close, even old town is around 30 minutes of walk away. I highly recommend this hotel! 👌

Think it was my 5th time staying in Aquarius Boutique Hotel - feels like coming home. Great staf, great beds, great rooms pritty much all is great. So going back in september again to Rethymnon and of course staying at Aquarius

+ location (very close to the beach and all stores, restaurants) + quite cheap + service is very friendly and helpful + cheap cocktails and swimming pool is not usually busy + 7€ breakfast at another hotel, the same owner, but it's located elsewhere, very good breakfast though (but they don't have air conditioner there, so prepare for the worst). + clean rooms - you have to pay for air conditioner...

It was just next to the beach. Very close to the town. Bus station 1min.walk. Fantastic apartment for the price. The reception lady Konstantina Exelent,helpful,sweet,very friendly,all in superlative!!!!
