Staying at the hotel for the second time we realized that is still a great hotel with some ups and downs. Ups: Service, location, pool, spacious room with kitchen and very friendly staff. Downs: The spa treatment are too expensive ( double the price of a regular treatment), coffee at breakfast is a disappointment and the beds are rather soft. Still worth going there but be aware of the downs.

We had a pleasant stay here. The location is excellent — just far enough from the noisy seafront to be peaceful, yet only a short walk to the beach and the old town. They also have a beach area. Stayed here for 2 weeks in July. Lovely spacious rooms, great air con, fab shower, room cleaned every day to a high standard. Great pool area on the smaller side, but enough sunbeds, we would get a couple of beds when we came down for breakfast around 10 am. Beautiful hotel in a great location. The old town just a short stroll away in one direction and the beach and promenade in the other direction. If you want to relax and enjoy the beach then this place is perfect. We enjoyed having a kitchenette so that when we wanted a little break from the beach, we could quickly go back to our room and have a snack. The staff always ensured that our room was clean and if we needed anything then they were able to assist us (ex. Calling a taxi or printing a voucher).

There was a lovely young man on the desk of an afternoon. he opened the door of my room every day, often unprompted, because he knew I had difficulties with the key. That's good service! The experience in this hotel was one of the best I've ever had, I didn't think that rethymno could hide a place with a beauty like the one this hotel has. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, the cleaning inside the rooms is perfect and impeccable. The rooms are very big and I found very interesting the way they decorated everything. 10/10 experience. Recommended.

The property is exquisite, no doubt. Very unique building and room that has kept some of the original building characteristics. Couple big issues though. First, the Wi-Fi is totally unusable, at least in the room we reserved. Was told it was normal because of the old stones used in buildings. This was my first in Rethimno and I wouldn't be happier with my 2-night stay. The king suite with terrace was excellent and really enjoyed the outdoor space with a lovely view of the fortress, and with one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen!
