Hotel Admiral in Sorrento

A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Recently refurbished bedrooms - the bathroom was very good with an excellent shower. Breakfast was of a good quality and plentiful. The view across the sea from the dining room and terrace was amazing. I would really recommend this hotel.

I booked a room with a balcony and a wonderful sea view. The room was excellent and had no flaws.
For breakfast, I expected more vegetables — only cucumbers were available — but there were many tasty options.
They had oat milk and the coffee was delicious.
They also have a very good restaurant with tasty food and a discount for guests staying in the rooms.
It's a bit far from the city center and the port — about a 15-minute walk with some stairs to climb — but it was an enjoyable walk.
I would love to visit again.

Location is amazing. The rooms are spacious but need some upgrades. The hallways look run down and dated. But for the price, this hotel is excellent. We stayed in a room with a terrace and the view was ridiculously gorgeous. The breakfast that is included is very good. There are no coffee makers or irons in the rooms. The lobby, bar, and breakfast room all have incredible views. The hotel is challenging to find if you are walking from the ferry or the train. We traveled by ferry and had difficulty finding it on foot since it was not coming up on our google map. It is next to the Bagno Delfino Restaurant if you need a reference point like we did.

A gem by the sea with unbeatable hospitality
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is truly amazing—just a 15-minute walk from the historic center, yet perfectly positioned for stunning sea views. Waking up to the ocean each morning was a highlight.
But what really made the experience unforgettable was the staff. They were the best part of the stay: courteous, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism elevated the whole experience.
Highly recommended!

I had a fabulous stay for 1 week at Hotel Admiral. It is a quaint lovely hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and an easy walk to the main square of Sorrento. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful, the food was great (lovely daily breakfast buffet) and the location superb. I would highly recommend!

I just spent a week at The Admiral Hotel in Sorrento and this hotel is truly a gem that I recommend highly! The property is clean, spacious, quiet and has a beautiful view of The Bay of Naples. The bedroom was comfortable and everything worked great (I had a nice balcony overlooking The Bay). Breakfast is served buffet style with lots of great options and everything is baked fresh. The Staff are exceptional! They are friendly, attentive and extremely helpful with tourist questions about trains, taxies, what to do, tours etc. Pascale (the hotel manager) was delightful and so helpful with suggesting plans for my time there and checking in to see how I was doing (I was travelling solo). The hotel is also perfectly situated with a 15-20 min easy lovely walk to the main square in town. There are lots of restaurants within minutes of the hotel and also dining at the hotel. Again, I highly recommend this hotel. I had an exceptional experience during my 1 week stay!

My friend and I spent 4 nights here at the end of our south Italy trip. When we arrived, we were told that the air conditioning gets switched to heat on October 1, and it was 23 degrees out so the room was really warm! But the staff brought us a fan right away and keeping the doors open at night made it comfortable to sleep :)

The highlight of our stay was the lovely gentleman that worked overnight at the front desk. 2 of the nights we were there, we wanted to watch the World Series and it started at 1am. We brought our laptop down and watched it in the lobby (so we wouldn’t fall asleep) and he was so great to us!! He was so kind and the was there to help us out with whatever we needed even though it was 1am-5am! Thank you so much for the hospitality!!

The location is great, and the views are amazing.

Hotel has fantastic views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was a bonus. We ate in the hotel one night and it was very good - residents get a 20% discount. Rooms are cleaned every day but looked a little the worse for wear as it was end of high season. Scuffed walls and paintwork etc. I paid for a room with a partial sea view. See my pics. No iron in room, they will provide a travel iron but often not very powerful/useful. Lovely restaurants nearby. We had trouble finding the hotel as it doesn't seem to be pinned properly on Google maps so had to drag our cases a long way. Get the transfer bus from Sorrento Train Station to airport about 13 euros as taxis are extortionate!

We have just returned from an incredible week staying at the Admiral! It truly is an unforgettable place. We had amazing rooms with terrace views that were spectacular. The hotel is spotless and our rooms were so clean and comfortable. Id read the reviews about them being outdated and yes a little but the terrace and upkeep of the room were excellent. Breakfast was lovely, so much choice and variety and the attention to detail of the staff was outstanding! They literally work so hard to keep tables clear and the food replenished. Evening menu is a bit restrictive but again great food. The staff at this hotel are genuinely so friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Special mention to Antonio what an asset to this hotel a wonderful friendly man and the lovely manager that arranged a great trip to Capri for us! He also is a great asset to this lovely hotel!
