In love with the hotel location
Excellent location 2 steps from the Spanish steps beautiful rooms very clean and neat. The staff is amazing. Highly recommended definitely will stay there again.
This chic, modern boutique-style guest house is located a few …and I mean a few steps from one of Rome’s iconic landmarks, The Spanish Steps. The cozy accommodation is comfortably and stylishly decorated with morden and trendy furniture, fixtures, and  marble flooring throughout. It’s immaculate! Taxis, Metropolitan station, Big Bus, and ‘big name’ stores  are all within walking distance and are...
Wonderful apartment! Perfect location and cleanliness!
I had a wonderful stay at Rome55. Natalia made me feel at home and was always available If I needed anything. I would definitely stay there again.

Well-located hotel with a warm welcome and an excellent breakfast.
The location is great, and it's convenient for getting around. The bathroom is spacious and bright. The staff is warm and welcoming, and their explanations are detailed. I tried their old-fashioned elevator, which was quite nice. I had breakfast at a coffee shop not far from the hotel.
The location was great, with supermarkets and restaurants close by! They kindly guided me to my room, and it even had a refrigerator. I'm very satisfied with the service for such a low price!
Near the Roma termini train station. Short enough to travel with your carry-on through the Roman streets. Functional Roman classic decorated rooms, pintoresque elevator. If you like walking the City, it is a one hour walk to Vatican and less to the other interesting historical sites at Rome.
The location is good, the place is quiet, and the breakfast is simple and good.
Cons: 1. rooms are dark so you would find it difficult to spend times inside , no views available. 2. Two time power outage in a day, hotel doesn’t have any power backup. 3. doesn’t have restaurant to place a order for coffees Pros: 1.Rooms are dark suitable for deep sleep 2. Location is great , convenient to reach station by walk

The room was absolutely spotless. The facilities were fantastic - we were in a beautiful room with views of the Borghese walls - perfect location and lovely street outside. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a lovely buffet mix - breakfast cereals, fruit, cakes and fruit tart, sandwiches, bread rolls of various types, sliced bread for toast, butter, spreads and jams, sliced...
Decent but cleaning was subpar (food left on the floor from previous guest), and duvet did not have a cover which feels a bit unhygienic. Friendly staff and breakfast was OK (if spartan)
Staff was amazing and helpful, the hotel is nicely decorated and kept clean daily. We received a bottle of water every day in the room and fresh fruit as well as a bottle of wine on our arrival. The area is very nice and safe with a lot of restaurants to choose from and was able to walk to all major attractions, would definently stay here again.
The only complaint was the lady at the front desk. She was rude throughout and at the end of the trip I had a lot of bags and she didn’t even offer to help hold the door open.
The hotel is cute and has a nice ubicación, can walk Via Vittorio easy, lots of restaurants around and bus and taxis. El hotel give you breakfast included and was very good. The staff very nice and helpful. It’s a really good option.
We had a wonderful stay at The Shire. It is a small boutique hotel. When you first arrive it can be a bit confusing. They do not have a obvious front to the hotel. Just a small sign on the side of the door next to Harry's Restaurant. If you arrive after hours press the button to be let in. Take the lift to the 1st froor. We had the large suite in the corner above Harry's. It was very...

Very accommodating and welcoming staff! Great breakfast and clean room! Beautiful hotel!
The hotel presents a very elegant picture. It was quite nice to sit in the lobby, not an activity that I otherwise pursue. It is located in a safe residential area. No tourist destinations nearby but plenty of dining opportunities, including right on the same block. The room does not have a fridge. Therr was one element of cleanliness that needs to be addressed. Amid all the marble, including the bathroom...
Wonderful hotel with great value for money! Like many places in Rome, this hotel had a mix of very good and very bad reviews, which made choosing difficult at first. But we are so happy we chose this one-it exceeded our expectations! The staff were lovely, the prices were fair, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant.
I got first a terrible room then I requested a change (staying 2 nights) the second one was better but still you feel it needs renovation , closets are the worse, mini bar empty! They provide a kettle (that’s a good thing!) with tea and sugar enevlopes only (where’s the nescafe!!?!) and without water! You’ll have to buy water from outside or from the vending machine inside the hotel. The lobby is a...
We had a very nice stay in this beautiful, little family driven hotel. The lobby gives you an exhilarating feeling of classic luxury with its marble, chandeliers, pillars, mirrors and gold-framed oil paintings. The staff were very friendly and helpful which meant a lot to us as it was our first trip to Rome. It turned out that the hotel is ideally situated: just outside the entrance door is the bus...
The hotel is nice clean. We faced issue with one of the staff since we couldn't take the breakfast for several days due to our plan, one day we passed by 10 mn before the breakfast time to grab a coffee and one od the staff members made a huge problem for a cup of coffee!

Very helpful, courteous staff. Room was clean. We were at the back of the building and it's a quiet street. Some great little bars, pubs, restaurants close by. A short bus ride (12 min) to Termini station. We enjoyed our stay very much

Breakfast time is so late, it’s open from 8:00am to 10:00am with very limited choices.

I enjoyed my stay at this Inn. The location was a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and 25 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. The Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are also about a 15 minute walk from each other so you could do both in one day. The Inn is also a 1 minute walk to the Sanata Maria Maggiore. A nice hotel with a great location. Friendly staff and a great view from the window (pictured). Cons: cold floors and no slippers.
Clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful. However, getting to the hotel was a bit difficult, and the toilet flushing poorly was an issue.
The location was great, just a few minutes from Termini Station. I checked in after dark, so it was dark and I got a little lost because I didn't realize I had to press the intercom. The room was clean and comfortable. Coffee and other amenities were also provided, which was nice.
Very clean and tidy. Well-furnished and have a shared kitchenette for tea and coffee (capsules and staff instructed how to use). Very nice coffee brew! Luggages can be stored at a designated spot even after check-out!
The breakfast was simple, and some facilities, such as the water heater, were shared. The room was clean, and I was able to spend a relaxing time.

Wonderful central but quiet location. Comfortable room. Friendly staff with very good breakfast. I will be back.
The staff was very helpful! Although finding this was difficult because it is truly “off the beaten track” it is perfectly located to be able to walk to almost all of the important sites in Rome!
Location was great. Room was smaller than expected and steps to reach the elevated stairs didn’t feel safe, especially being a senior a hand rail would have been nice.
The room was good and great location. AC worked well and room was in good condition. Bed was a bit hard and pillows a bit thin, but other than that good overall.

Excellent location, just 3 minutes walking distance from Termini (Central train station). Plenty of restaurants nearby. Simple, all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Room is clean and equipped with air-conditioning, perfect for summer; shower water is hot enough. The lift is a true heritage, very old fashioned but safe enough.
We stayed for a few nights in December. The location is great, very convenient. And the price for this area is more than pleasant. That's probably all the pros. But we understood that for such a price with such a convenient location you don't have to expect much :-) the room is small, but that's not very important. The main minus is that the room is cold and damp in winter, the heating was turned on...
The service of the first person at the reception was terrible. The rooms are old, which is also good for the experience, but not with the beds, these are too old, old and damaged mattresses. They should change them now. For that price there are better hotels in the area.
The room smells, and the breakfast is mediocre.

Great location from station and great restaurants at next door. Great breakfast for 6 euro! You must have to start a day.
Nice place with very friendly people in the reception. Nice location.
Everything was great here. The only thing that was a negative was that the walls are VERY thin. You can hear everyone and everything around you while you're in your room. Staff were great, the room was exactly what we needed, and the location was fantastic.
Very convenient, clean, safe place with extremely helpful staff. City tax will need to be paid in Euro upon arrival, as required by THE CITY. This is most anywhere you stay. Rooms were basic, wifi worked well, and rooms were cleaned daily, with towels replaced. Multiple great restaurants within walking distance, with bus stops and supermarkets close by as well.
Update! Booking.com showing that your booking costs 429 you paid 393 and 36 euros for city taxes will be paid at the property

Great find near Roma Termini. The hotel is newly renovated. The rooms are small and so are the bathrooms. I didn’t close the shower door while showering - the space was extremely limited! During our 2 week trip to Italy, we stayed in 4 different hotels including this one. While this wasn't the fanciest or most expensive, it was welcoming and comfortable in every way, and offered a restorative pace. I've found myself thinking about it even after returning home. It's located in a narrow inauspicious street just across the Ides of March. In fact, we almost missed the address. Inside...

The location is excellent! Bus lines steps from the hotel, dining options and small ancient ruins right across the street. Thomas was especially helpful and kind. I recommend!
Super value for a boutique hotel 5 minutes from the Pantheon. The owner, Paulo, was a wonderful and interesting to talk with host. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and the AC was cold. We had one small issue with our room, after hours, and he quickly came to check it out. We also received a discount by paying in Euros and the bank ATM was just steps away.
We stayed four nights in May 2024, and Relais Teatro Argentina had been highly recommended to us. We found the hotel to be a pleasant stay in a top-notch location right by Torre Argentina. The hotel was a good base but was pretty basic however good value for what we paid. The breakfast was ok but we only had it twice in 5 days. The bed was very hard and definitely not very comfortable. The staff we dealt with were all pleasant and helpful. The area is nice and you can walk to most attractions within 45 minutes.
Nice and close to Roma Termini and the Colosseo, has a lift and comfy beds. We wanted to make a cup of tea and the guy at reception was kind enough to give us a kettle for our room.
The hotel was very clean and the receptionists were very nice. The woman who serves the breakfast is super nice and friendly. It’s very close to the Termini station so super well located if you need to go to the airport.
It's close to Termini Station, so it's easy to get around. There are some homeless people around, but there are many police officers around from the morning, so it's safe. I read through some of the reviews and I review this with the caveat that this is a very European/Italian-style hotel. It's not an American hotel. If you're an American expecting a Holiday Inn where you drive up and there's a suite with 70 pillows and a full sized fridge, this ain't it. Did you come to Europe for an American experience? A lot of hotels in Rome are like this one, on the floor of a building...

Very friendly service. The receptionists were always helpful. The room was nice and clean, with no complaints. The street next door is quite busy, but you can't hear anything at night. It's very peaceful and quiet. Easy access and a good location, close to the Borghese Gallery and a beautiful park.
The second stay at this hotel. Everything is alright. The hotel is in a very nice and quiet district. The personnel is polite and friendly. You can ask for coffee, water, some alcohol and other options (for not big money). Finally, it is a great experience.
When I went to the hotel, I was a little surprised, because they turned one floor of the apartment into a hotel, I have never seen such a "hotel". The lovely lady at the front desk was very helpful! At first our shower was not boiling hot, and the AC was not blowing out hot air, but the water was fixed within the first night, and we got the AC changed the 3rd night. Lovely place and near everything, but be careful at night with some dodgy men trying to get inside; always close the door behind you.
The room and bathroom were tidy. However, the room did not have the usual European plug sockets. Breakfast was not included, reportedly since COVID-19. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. In general, the area around the main train station (Roma Termini) did not feel particularly safe or clean to us. That was our experience, although the location is convenient for many things.
Comfortable stay, poor surroundings The hotel itself was decent and fairly comfortable, but the surrounding area left much to be desired. This hotel is correct, nothing more, the ubication is the more important remark. Another good point is that is a quiet place, and you will sleep well.
Great place to stay a few minutes walk away from downtown Rome! Nice staff, breakfast is simple but sufficient for me, super comfortable mattress and blankets and impeccable cleaning! Barbara was super kind and helped me with the bus to the airport (which stops a few blocks away and saves us significant money). I'd definitely go back!
This property is located within walking distance to the spanish steps etc. There is a self service or fully serviced laudromat accross the road. Also accross the road is a good chinese restaurant for those that need a change from Italian food. Close enough to the Vatican as well. Cant fault it.
It’s a very good hotel and the workers are very nice and helpful. The lady speaks good English. It has an elevator so you don’t have to worry about picking your bags to the upstairs rooms. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to give this "Inn" a go. We were only there for one night and the price was right. It's near the Vatican in a quiet neighborhood. It's NOT an Inn.
