Rome, Via Arturo Mercanti 63 (12 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Basic facility but decent breakfast. Bus stops 3mins away.
The place is super clean and affordable! It feels quite safe, even safer than staying downtown. The front desk staff were very accommodating and there's a supermarket nearby, which is great! I'll definitely stay here again next time, highly recommended!
The room is a bit dated, friendly front desk staff on the evening of arrival. Basic breakfast.
Friendly staff, room is ok accecible to all the beautiful places.
Very nice staff to give me the guidance on the bus ride, and also surrounding with nice bar. Recommend to stay.
It's clean and well-maintained, and the room itself is quite spacious. The location isn't central, so you'll definitely need a taxi to get to most places. Breakfast consists mostly of Western-style bread, with no Chinese dishes available.

My friend and I traveled to Rome, and we were a little apprehensive. But the pleasant surprise of meeting such kind and friendly people, the amazing room they gave us with a little terrace, made our stay unforgettable. Everything was spotless, and the cleaning staff, always smiling, made us feel right at home. We would definitely go back. Thank you, Hotel Impero, for everything! 🙏🙏🙏
Close to Termini and bus stops so it’s convenient however it’s a little bit far from famous locations so I recommend you say the first day and the last day of your trip, overall service was really good and I liked the vibe of the place, it had a lot of vintage pieces and the lobby is really beautiful
Location is very good site in the Centre of Town and nearby Train station
Service is good and have a great buffet breakfast
When you go first time be careful GPS sometimes lead you different places.
Hotel was okay but so many stairs! Elevator is also small and can barely fit 2 people + luggage. Be mindful when booking. Easy checkin and out
The hotel isn't far from Rome Termini Station, about a ten-minute walk. However, those driving should be aware that some cars parked downstairs have had their windows smashed. The overall environment is decent, but the facilities are really poor. On the first day, the air conditioning in my assigned room made a constant, extremely loud noise. Plus, there was a glass window on the door that let in light...
The room was a bit compact, but for Rome, it was perfectly adequate. The hotel's toiletries were excellent, especially the lotion, which I really liked. The hotel is very close to Termini Station, which was originally a factor since I planned to travel by train. However, we ended up taking taxis everywhere. We walked to Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. Next door, there's a Chinese...

Everything works, but the owner doesn't spend much on renovations and maintenance. The water in the toilet was slow, the bathroom window could not be closed. With a little effort it would be a very good hotel, so it is only average. The breakfast was plentiful. I also bought dinner once, it was mediocre. The pillows were too hard for me.
Has a good vibe to it, staff is always friendly. If you travel by public transport it can be tricky. Is outside of town - doesn’t seem like the rest of Rome. Ok to stay over night. A/c is insufficient, bed very comfi. Breakfast is ok. But again, everybody working there, is always smiling.
Rebibia station is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel is situated next to the Terna company building. It's a bit dated and a little out of the way, but the value for money is excellent – definitely recommended! Breakfast was also good.
Early morning terrible noise. I don’t know where it’s come from. It’s wall cracking or some construction at the top or something else but since 6 AM we wake up we couldn’t sleep again. Reception did nothing.
Everything was great, the breakfast was good, but it's a bit far from central Rome.
First room they gave was awful but the frontdesk staff was very friendly to change it. The internet was bad. Food was good.

The property is ideally situated in close proximity to both train and metro stations, offering convenient access to various tourist attractions.
Team members were great and very helpful! Love them! The room is just so so. Getting old and used but at least functional. The hotel owners need to look at hardware and invest. Great staff need to be supported with great hardware. Breakfast also quite good. Location is brilliant. So easy to get everywhere. Enjoy! I would stay again for sure.
Traveling to Italy during the summer, this 3-star hotel near Rome's central station perfectly met our needs. It's a 5-minute walk from the train station, quiet and safe, and there's a well-stocked supermarket within a 5-minute walk, which was very convenient for grabbing fruits and water daily! The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with...
The hotel is quite old and the area seems not perfectly safe.
Great hotel, friendly staff & clean room.
Very happy with the location and breakfast was good!
Hotel is 5 mins walk from train station and metro. It’s quite an old hotel, room is dated. Bed is comfortable. Many restaurants nearby. 20-30mins walk to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Santa Maria Maggiore, Pantheon. For those with large luggages or knee issues. Be prepared to carry luggages up some flight of stairs. Some of the rooms are in between 2 floors. Room is small so for those with large luggages...

The hotel is in an excellent location, however, it is in my view a three star hotel. The room is very tiny , and so is the bathroom. The water pressure is very good. There is no boiler to make tea or coffee in the room . The breakfast is on the fifth floor, however the elevator goes only to the fourth floor. The rest one floor up is stairs . So , the restaurant is not accessible to wheelchair. The...
Expensive for what I got but i do appreciate that Rome is a capital city and there is a price to pay for that, no breakfast included, my breakfast cost as per Trip.com was agreed at €10 but It was indicated to me at check-in that breakfast would cost €15. Airconditioning was not functioning properly.
Good hotel overall, excellent location. Small rooms but cozy.
Really easy check in, helpful staff, fantastic location by Trevi fountain with lots of choice of places to eat/drink. My room was quite small but considering it was just me that was ok, the bed was super comfortable and the room was serviced to a really good standard. The only reason it’s not a 5 is down to a strange power surge noise that would happen and the lack of natural light. But these wouldn...
We got moved to another building round the corner on a busier street but this wasn’t an issue as we were allocated a bigger room. Everything was walking distance. The only issue was that we could not turn the air con off. Every time we turned it off it would come back on so we had to sleep with the electricity off.
We were booked for the Trevi hotel but it was overbooked. They transferred us to another of their properties which was excellent and included breakfast as a courtesy. The new hotel was an upgrade from the trevi. The Al Manthia was fantastic! The rooms are just awesome.

The hotel is very well located and clean. Room has no cups or glasses. When we asked for glasses we were given paper cups. The room was also cold and we could not adjust the heating. It was a cold evening, NYE so not the most pleasant to sleep.
We were assigned a room very far away, requiring us to take an elevator, then walk down a hallway full of stairs, and finally take another elevator. The room was tiny, and the bathroom area was minuscule, about 65 x 65 cm, making it impossible to shower. The staff was wonderful, however, it's important to note this detail before booking, as we had several very large suitcases, and it was very uncomfortable...
super location, breakfast nothing special. better to have coffee in some bar
Bathroom was newly redone, clean, simple room, great location, close to restaurants, minutes away from a square where we got on the hop on hop off busses. It was so hard to book from so far away, wondering and not knowing, but this was GREAT value for price, clean, staff was lovely and helpful. I would definitely return and recommend to a friend. (We did not do the continental breakfast)
The location is great — close to many restaurants and bars. The hotel itself feels more like an aparthotel. I booked it last minute on a Friday evening. The room was spacious, but the cleanliness was absolutely terrible. The shower hadn’t been cleaned for a long time; it was full of long black hairs, just like the floor in the room. I honestly don’t understand how they can rent out a room in such a...

Great stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well located. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. The room was quiet and well maintained, making it easy to relax. Would definitely stay here again.
The location was terrific, and the room was comfortable for our 3 night stay. We would certainly stay here again.
The location was perfect. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was VERY good - they had a nice selection of foods that were all prepared well. Be prepared for stairs - our room, once we left the elevator, was up two steps and then down three steps.
Super nice and elegant hotel next to the Pantheon.

A super easy and convenient, affordable place to stay in Rome is highly recommended.
Shops nearby. Short distance to public transport
Hosted with family from 2 to 9 June 2025, strategic location 200 m from Castro Pretorio metro station, and 800 m from Termini, excellent structure.
Good points: We had 'Room 1' and we were very pleased with the size of the room, and the bathroom facilities. The shower was strong and hot, and everything was pretty clean. The shared kitchen area was good, with plenty of utensils and kitchenware for use which made our stay in Rome a lot more budget friendly as we could cook our own meals if needed. There is a Pam grocery shop literally just down...
Deluxe Room. Payment €140/day
The hard but comfortable bed, the cheap Ikea furniture and the bathroom like that of a cheap pension.
First night noise of conversations at 00:00h.
The best thing is that the shared kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, tea maker, etc…
Good for location but for that price I would not return. There are B&Bs with similar facilities for half the price.

I was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival at this hidden gem of a hotel. It’s set in beautiful grounds full of fruit trees, in a very green part of Rome. Thank you so much to Matteo and the whole team in the lovely breakfast area. Don’t miss the stunning views of Rome from the Giardino Degli Aranci, which is about a 3 minute walk behind the hotel! I will be back for sure.
I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We loved it. Set in the garden district of the aventine - it was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. A 20 min walk took you to the Palantine/Circus Maximus edge of town although we usually took a taxi (8 euros) to the places we wanted to start at because walking all day in the heat is too much for old uns like us. A very cute boutique hotel in the quiet area of Rome . It’s a charming hotel , lots of tree and garden around , nice , comfortable and clean rooms , love the old Roman building style . Breakfast in the garden , a bit far from the city center .
You arrive in a neighbourhood on a slight hill where nature encroaches all around. At first the area seems a bit worn, but then you begin to realise it's due to it being rather undisturbed as vines climb the walls as you walk the rural streets. Hotel personel greets you heartily, provides excellent guidance, and a costume wearing employee is quick to pick up your bags and take them to your room for...

I arrived with low expectations due to the mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the quality of service. While the hotel clearly shows its age, our room was well-maintained and comfortable.

Overall, this price is a good choice. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the Vatican.
The hotel has a very good location and offers great value for money. The furniture was brand new, while the overall decoration carried a unique 1980s vintage atmosphere, which gave the place a special character. The room was spacious, very clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming.

As soon as we found them, they asked us to leave a €50 cash deposit, which they returned to us upon checkout after checking the room for damage. This wasn't mentioned on the website, and it really bothered me. If I didn't have it at the time, why would I have to go get it and then return to the hotel after a 6-hour journey? It doesn't seem very fair to me, and the €12 stay is also not worth it...
The shower was a disaster, the TV in the room was tiny, it was impossible to darken the room, all the bathroom fixtures were in very bad condition, and the fitted sheet was definitely not suitable for July (it was impossible to remove the cover, leaving only the sheet to cover yourself). Overall, a great experience!
The location is very close to the train station. The room is not very big as usual, and the facilities are also good. Don't be too demanding of hotels when traveling in Europe. The staff service is completely OK, and the breakfast variety needs to be improved.
The hotel is located near the train station, metro and bus stops nearby! The area is not very safe, there are a lot of migrants, as in all of Rome!
