Reviews
The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable but the noise from the road, and from the corridors is too loud. They did change our room from the second floor to the sixth and this eliminated the external problem.
The service at breakfast was poor and they actually ran out of crockery - substituting paper cups and also suggesting we used these cups for yoghurt as they had no more bowls.
The location is good in that it is right next to a metro station but it does mean you cannot easily walk to any of the sites.
Apparently, they do offer a shuttle service to the centre but this is not well advertised and we only found out about it when checking out.
For me though, the biggest issue is for sure the loud housekeeping starting at 8:00 a.m. every single day we stayed here I was woken up at 8:00 a.m. and unable to sleep past that due to this sheer level of noise. Personally it feels extremely inconsiderate and like housekeeping really doesn't even consider that people might want to sleep in. We had a really long flight getting here so the first day we really needed sleep, and it was impossible to get here. Oh and also, room service is delicious but very expensive for Rome. Not unusual due to the convenience factor of room service, but something to keep in mind.
Breakfast was superb, with a wide selection to suit every taste, and the bar in the evenings offered a relaxing atmosphere to unwind. The hotel’s location was perfect—taxis were always available outside and it was very convenient for getting around Rome. This was an ideal base for exploring the city, and every moment at Radisson GHR felt special thanks to the team and facilities.
I was here for a concert, and the Olympic Stadium was about 30 mins on foot, which was perfect, too.
We stayed for three nights, but the free water in the room was never put in. We called three times to ask for it, but it was never delivered.
There was no shampoo, but an empty bottle was left there. They were indifferent when we called to change it. Finally, my husband couldn't stand it anymore, so he went to the front desk to argue and gave us two small bottles.
The next day was even worse. We went out to play in the morning, and they told us that we couldn't change rooms during the day. We thought we were traveling, so we stayed for three nights, so we didn't bother changing hotels, and we made do. As a result, when we returned to the hotel at more than 8pm, the room was not cleaned. I really haven't seen a hotel with worse service. I won't come again, and I don't recommend Chinese people to come. The waiters here all have a condescending tone. This is the most disgusting hotel, no one!
The room was quite spacious for Rome, and there was a beautiful church across from the window.
The breakfast restaurant manager, Rafiq, was especially kind, remembering each guest's preferences and proactively chatting.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to Piazza di Spagna, and the driver was very friendly, spoke good English, and was very patient.
I liked the breakfast: there is a boiled egg, and greens, and sausages, and cakes. Every guest will find something for themselves.
The room is generally comfortable, in winter the hotel is warm. But the windows are a bit leaky and you can hear the noise from the road periodically.
The towels and robe are good. Average cleaning: the floors were not washed or vacuumed (crumbs and hair were lying on the floor, and no one cleaned them up during my entire stay). The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are also comfortable. There are toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, cotton pads with sticks and a nail file.
Initially, I booked another hotel in the center, but it was so cold and noisy that I looked for an alternative option and found the Radisson. Overall, I don't regret it. If I'm ever in Rome again, I'll definitely consider it for accommodation.
The room was clean and well-organized, with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. However, the soundproofing leaves much to be desired: external noises and those from other rooms are clearly audible, making it difficult to rest.
A particularly negative aspect was the taxi management: I had booked a car for 7:30 am, but at the time of departure the taxi was not present, causing an avoidable inconvenience. For a hotel of this level, such a service should be more reliable.
