Hotel Villa Sophia in Sanremo

The hotel is located in the western part of Sanremo, the historic center can be reached with a half-hour walk along the cycle path and the seafront promenade. From Via Aurelia you can reach it with a rather narrow road that leads to the paid parking lot of the hotel itself. It is made up of two buildings: the main villa, with bedrooms, a living room and a breakfast room, and a small annex where we were lodged. The welcome was formal and very detailed. Our room is on the second floor which corresponds to the attic so the only available window is very small, like a dormer. The size of the room is good, the cleanliness excellent, the internal bathroom complete with all amenities. Breakfast is do-it-yourself and offers a decent choice of sweet and savory. A negative note concerns the common areas of the annex: upon our arrival both in the hall in front of the elevator and in the corridor of our room there were cleaning tools and bags containing dirty laundry, even though it was four in the afternoon. Recommended for a stay of a few nights.
