Hotels on first line in Sardinia

This side of Sardinia offers a variety of curiosities: gourgeous beaches, caves (grotta), natural pool, boat cruises, etc. Although critics say otherwise, we had more than enough to do during our 10-day stay

We spent our days relaxing on the stunning beach, enjoying refreshing swims in the sea, and making the most of the lovely weather. It was the perfect break — peaceful, sunny, and just what we needed

What an amazing and beautiful resort. The staff were friendly and professional. The kids were always entertained by some incredibly great staff. It was a perfect getaway and got the rest and family time we wanted

The hotel is very clean and offers everything we needed for a wonderful stay: pleasant pool, private beach, swimming supervising at both, breakfast and dinner, all in one place

I don’t get the negative reviews at all. We have spent 7 nights with half board in here in September. The food was great lots of variety. We got unlimited wine at night. Staff was very nice and friendly at the reception

The Hotel Alma is in a fantastic location right beside the beach. The rooms are clean and adequate for a short break. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Pool was really nice too.

We arrived very early at the hotel, around 8:30. We were able to leave our luggage and go to the beach. Toothbrush and shaving kit provided in the bathroom

We stayed in room 401 on the 4th floor. The room was very spacious, the shower was nice, and we had a large balcony with a view of the sea. The bed was very firm but comfortable

We did have two twin beds which is okay as we knew it was a possibility. The pillows are also a very firm memory foam. One important thing to know is that breakfast service is also on this floor from 7:00 to 11:00 a

Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and rooms were clean and well-equipped. The only negative was that housekeeping didn't clean or replace a couple of coffee mugs that we had used. Otherwise all good.

The majority of the employees at the breakfast service as well as the employees at the front desk were polite. The breakfast has oatmeal, pancakes, bacon, omelets, fruits, coffee, and more

Three minutes by car from baja sardinia and from nice little beaches. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast, really various and tasty, is served in a sunny patio with a great sea view

Hotel Pulicinu is a really good place where to spend a relaxing holiday. It is immersed in a peaceful park not far from the sea so it also has a beautiful sea view

Location not particularly accessible by foot, but its only a couple of minutes drive from baia/baja, as well as the lovely pevero beaches. Other points: * Staff are generally friendly and helpful

Very pretty and relaxing pool area with one shallow and one very deep pool (no middle ground!), which feels more like a 5* resort area

The team is super friendly and responsive. The location is great. The food is excellent. The commodities are excellent as well. The concierge has good tips, you can rent a car from the hotel which is useful.

Sardinia is surprisingly rigid about most things but this resort was so laid back and nice, while also very competent. I had a terrible flight situation and they were just fantastic helping me last minute

Amazing location, right at the beach of Baja Sardinia. Beautiful well maintained hotel, with stunning views. The staff at the hotel is great, from reception to waiters and cleaning staff

We enjoyed our stay despite it being around 1 week before the hotel closed. Some of the restaurants in the area had already closed which was not the hotels fault

The hotel is well located but the public beach at the front charges for sunbeds. The private beach is picturesque but has very basic amenities. Car parking at the hotel costs €17 per day

The sea view rooms do not get the sun except for early in the morning. The private beach was as described elsewhere. Lots of fish to see if snorkeling. Garage parking was Euro 5 a night

Perhaps the menu on display was for half board, but then why did it have prices? It will remain a mystery! We had a good boat trip to the archipelago which the hotel recommended and it went from a small pier located half way to the private beach

However there is a nice pool and bar at their sister hotel across the bay; just ask at reception for a voucher. Watch out for the presence of rats around the balcony areas; we slept with doors and shutters closed!

They charged for water in the rooms, the sunbeds on the beach cost money unless you chose ones higher up above the beach and the breakfast was pretty basic

Fourth time at Moresco Hotel, and as always… just incredible. The view of the sea and Corsica off in the distance takes your breath away

We were told the hotel has recently reopened for this season, they've clearly done a lot of work and the place is immaculate. So clean, and super comfortable beds

Yes there are some supplemental charges for the car park, but out of season street parking is free and there is a carpark nearby. Breakfast was great, as were evening aperitifs by the pool

So thoughtful for the staff to have some nice plush robes and authentic Italian cookies awaiting us in our room. So nice to sleep with only the sound of the waves of the sea creating an ambient serenity

We loved the boutique feel of the hotel where all the staff were so kind yet professional. The location is perfect for relaxing by the beach and exploring the town and country side

I recommend for the near future to improve the 'beach item because many customers were disappointed. See you soon and with love Vincenzo

With my family we spent a week full of fun, carefree and also visited beautiful beaches

Negative note is the beach (not the sea which is clear and with beautiful colors) which is pebbly and if you do not have shoes you enter and exit the water with great difficulty

My partner and I stayed at the resort for a week, everything was almost perfect. I say almost because unfortunately the pool is very slippery both at the entrance and at the exit, you have to be very careful

The swimming pool is splendid but in some places very slippery, the kitchen offers a great variety of decent dishes but the wine is not in line with the quality we expected

The beach, although beautiful and well-kept, is not suitable for those who do not swim safely and I would recommend the shoes for the stony bottom

You could go to the bar and order some nice drinks. Only pity was that you had to pay a fee to rent a beach towel (€3). The room we had was spacious enough for 3 people, and also very clean

Room was spacious and comfortable. Enough storage space, small fridge and safe. Bathroom was a good size and rain shower head. We had a large balcony overlooking the pool and garden

Pool and gardens were beautiful and well maintained, plenty of common areas to sit and they were always clean. Plenty of free parking in the streetcoutside the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from

Great location in near the centre of town. It's up a hill though, so keep that in mind if you are not very mobile. The hotel was very clean, the outdoor and pool area was very pretty

Walking distance to port, town and beach (although a steep climb back up again). Staff were super helpful and friend

The spa was lovely although I was unable to reach anyone via phone or internet prior to arriving. If you want your choice of treatments at specific times I recommend calling them and booking in advance

The staff was very accommodating and spoke English which was very helpful. There were about 20 marble stairs up to our room that weren’t mentioned in the description

Thankfully an attendant was able to help us with our heavy bags. The parking in front of the hotel was a tight squeeze although much better than our other experiences in the older parts of cities in Sardinia

We arrived 3 hours early and the lovely lady on reception allowed us to leave our bags and explore Olbia. Bed was a good size and very comfortable with soft pillows

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to all the local attractions and less than a 10 minute walk to the bus stop for the airport

Breakfast was good with delicious croissants but the coffee machine wasn't working properly on one of the mornings

We had the opportunity to stay at the Cala Della Torre Resort at the beginning of the season and we could not be more satisfied! Although the resort is not the closest to other places of interest in Sardinia, it is the most convenient for a peaceful holiday with everything you need

Shuttle/small train is accessible to drive you to the beach, or you can easily get there on foot. The staff members are the human translation for kindness and hospitality "all' Italiana"

This is way over expectations, great for families with children's, rooms clean and spacious, food is really good ,some repetitive but you always have what to choose from ,the pool looks great and clean although me and my 5 years old daughter choosen to go on the beach ,theres the hotels little train that goes to the beach every 30 minutes,theres entrainment during evening,and plenty of things to do...

Had a wonderful week (mid September) at the hotel, the food was amazing, westher also helped but wanted to give extra compliments to the chef of the restaurant! A great menu by every meal, excellent quality and everything tasted amazing

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the staff incredibly friendly, and both breakfast and dinner absolutely delicious. All in all, this has been by far the best resort experience we’ve had in Sardinia

Be wary that all the plated “American” breakfast they advertise on Instagram is an extra fee and not included, as well. The pool area is quite dilapidated, and the beach “club” was average

The private beach is equally stunning, with loungers, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment available. You can swim for long distances in the crystal-clear water – there’s always something to do

Beautiful place to spend a few days in Buggerru. Would totally recommend spending a bit more and getting a room with sea view

Really nice location just two steps from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and kiosks nearby. breakfast was nice and all staff really friendly, for the price it’s an absolute steal, will definitely be coming back.

We also loved the location in relation to nearby beaches. The hotel staff also helped us with booking boat tours and where I could find the room scent (which I will always love as it reminds me of our wonderful trip

Rooms are spacious, clean, light and beautiful, rooms with a see view have a large terrace with a shadow during afternoon so you can stay there even if it’s hot outside. Hotel has an elevator, so no problem with a buggy

The hotel's location is excellent, with good restaurants and hiking trails nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of options

Lovely place , amazing breakfast and the beach is just a paradise , very friendly and helpful staff!

The rooms are new and comfortable, the breakfast is good, but the breakfast room could use some updating, as well as the entrance where the reception and bar are. The beach is nice but not included in the price

The only thing which I could mention as a small minus is the fact that we arrived around 18:00 and still had to shortly wait for the room, at the same time checkout is already at 10:00

You could tell he had genuine knowledge and passion, which made it extra special. Marcello’s charm, efficiency, and authenticity made us feel more like valued guests than just customers

The grounds are beautifully kept the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were fantastic. We were half board and the food was exceptional for a buffet style restaurant

One of the highlights was his fantastic wine recommendations — every choice was perfectly matched with our meal and really enhanced the whole dining experience

The hotel is a little isolated but there is a bus service directly outside the hotel which we used to explore a little

The hotel area is very nice: well-kept garden, small beach or pool, however in the season there might be tough to find a sunbed. The restaurant pretends to higher quality than can offer

Beautiful authentic hotel/resort with private beach. It has a huge swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean, a number of restaurants to choose from including one right on the beach

The positives: This is a really interesting place. A 1950's hotel, on the sea with its own private beach. Its a really great location and good place to relax and not a long drive from Cagliari

We stayed in the villas which were quieter and a few of the villas are right on the beach (Villa Marte). and if you want to hear the waves as you go to sleep its an amazing place to be

The gym / fitness centre doesn't have much equipment (one treadmill and one bike) but there seems to be some repainting and updating going on during May 2024 when we were there, so maybe this will change

As other reviews say the food is average (there are a range of better restaurants nearby) and some of the furniture and decoration is tired and needs updating

We parked onsite and left the car parked for 2 nights never moving it until leaving. The room was 119, spacious with full sea view. Check in & out was so smooth and very clean

The location is fantastic—less than a 5-minute walk to the port of Palau. Many of the rooms offer beautiful water views, which was such a nice surprise

We liked the location with a sea view, but because the hotel was along a road, there was a lot of noise in the morning. You couldn't sleep in in the morning. We also didn't find our room very clean.

I must say that upon leaving, we left a piece of our heart, beyond the location—a very special corner of the Costa Smeralda—but for the people we were leaving behind after those days spent in the spirit of hospitality and constant attention

The greenery was all beautiful and well-kept, the pool clean and constantly attended to with sampling, and the Hydro Jacuzzi was no less

My personal impression, in all honesty that I can express, was that the staff was insufficient for the facility, but for the guests, this shortage was covered by the Director who, together with Nando with his golden hands, were constantly available in all roles and duties so as not to cause any inconvenience to the guests, working until very late in the evening in all roles and duties

Breakfasts and dinners were truly pampering, thanks to the professionalism of Paola and Emanuele, who were always ready with a smile to offer delightful service, along with all the staff

We were able to borrow towels for the beach and boat trip at no charge. They also gave us an umbrella to use. There are several areas to enjoy the beach. It can be rocky, so bring water shoes

This property was in a great area in Cala Ganone. Right on the main strip on the sea, the Lungo Mare. Walking distance to many restaurants and a small beach area

Beautiful sea view room A was such a gorgeous end to our tour in Europe!! The food in the restaraunt is very good-especially the sage ravioli! I loved the beach across the street -especially when I had my scuba shoes on because the coast is rocky

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel just opposite the beach. Just for awareness the beach has a charge of euro 3. 50 per person and a requirement of straw mat to be used between towel and sand

Small room, they charge for breakfast and parking separately when there's a free parking lot next door, which seems illogical to me. The only good thing is that it has access to the beach, but it's not a pretty one

The town is okay, close to Castelsardo, which is very nice, but not very well connected to the best beaches in Cerdà. I would choose another place as a base if I want to explore the north of the island

The location is great, on a quiet beach. However, the unit bath had a bit of an unpleasant smell. I'd like to stay here again.
