Great hotel and staff with an ample parking. The only issue is that there is no restaurant/bar in the evening need to go out.

Great hotel, super clean & well maintained. Very pet friendly - room was clean & spacious, balcony slightly on small side and coffee machine would be a nice extra touch. Area is quiet, supermarket & some bars/pizzerias within walking distance but you need a car to visit Modica etc, super close to Scicli which is a beautiful town. Breakfast & pool were amazing and overall reasonable price!

I was kind of unimpressed by our room though as the hotel is 4-stars and the room was small and the single window doesn’t allow for a lot of natural light. Thanks to the travel off-season, I was able to stay at this wonderful hotel. The environment is peaceful, the gardens are stunning, the restaurant is excellent, and the views are breathtaking. If you’re coming to Sicily for your honeymoon, this place is definitely worth staying for a night or two.

Overall, everything was fine for us; we only stayed overnight and had breakfast at the hotel. The rooms were missing hotel slippers, hair conditioner, and body lotion. No coats. Beach towels are available for a fee.

We had an excellent experience here! The staff are excellent, the room service was outstanding - the room and bathroom were always sparkling clean when we came back at the end of the day and all used towels replaced every day. The room is not bad, the amenities are a little bit lacking, but it's clean and that's fine. I can't be picky about this place. I left early in the morning and missed breakfast, so I made two cups of cappuccino to take away.

We were welcomed here at the last minute after Manzoni Elements apartments let us down ( we had booked sea view rooms and got rooms overlooking buildings - with no apology and no room change offered as they were full ) the staff at La Bussola were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size, clean and modern. Breakfast was great, we have no complaints.

Location good if you want to use the ferry but not near the beach. Hotel service from reception was excellent but other things not so good. Room was fine clean and large. Had a coffee machine but no cups. Couldn't work the shower they came up to show us how and they could work it either. Got there in the end. Wonderful family run hotel on the outskirts of Avola. Sebastiano and his family took great care of us. Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the sea and it’s surrounding restaurants, as well as the train station for exploring further afield. This is a great base if you want to get out and about to see more of the area. Thank you so much!

The hotel is beautiful, the pool, rooms and facilities are superb. The staff are amazing and made us feel so welcome. The staff worked so hard to make sure we were happy. A huge thank you to Sebastian who really looked after us and made our holiday so lovely. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back in the future!

Wow is the word, If I could give 6 stars I would have done it. The place is magic, sunny, relax and nice people. It is in a strategic area where you can move easily and have a lot of things to do nearby. I loved the Italian food made house and the room was so clean and comfortable. We will defiantly come back again next year. Superraccomended

Business trip. Very friendly and professional staff, special mention goes to Monica at the front desk and to Lia, who is always smiling and attentive, and takes care of breakfast. The only major drawback is the high cost of on-site parking; €25 is unacceptable for a business stay.

Wow, this place exceeded our expectations! The staff were amazing, the hotel spotless and the breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay here again!! The front desk people were very accommodating. They arranged for a driver to take us to the ferry, opened the bar at our request and provided sightseeing recommendations.

Great stay if you are catching the ferry to Sicily.. The hotel was modern, clean and well run. Room was clean and fully equipped. Breakfast was equally good and perfect for a traveller. Parking outside was easy. Restaurant close to hotel also very convienient.

We stayed at the 4spa hotel Catania, not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. Was exceptionally clean. The staff were amazingly helpful. The rooms are spacious and the surroundings beautiful. The food was brilliant. The catering staff were amazing extremely friendly but not overly. Even though there was a language barrier everyone found a way around it.

Everything was great except for the restaurant manager, whose attitude was appalling. He seemed to go out of his way to ruin our evening - clearly more interested in asserting control over a group of women than providing good service. It felt like he was on a power trip, taking himself far too seriously. Really disappointing behaviour in an otherwise lovely place.

Hotel is in a great location, central to everything and walking distance. Newly refurbished so nice and modern. We had two single rooms which were a great size ! Balcony to the street as well. We stayed 3 nights at Mamma Santina and had a great time. Nice rooms well decorated, great view, excellent breakfast and restaurant and attentive service. Santa Marina also appears to be the best spot to stay in Salina and the hotel is very well situated.

Nothing did stand out for good, or bad. Definitely wouldn't recommend it as a stay for the location, makes no sense, it's far from everything, unless you're visiting Acireale, then of course. But still, was absolutely average, not worth the value, unless again you want to explore Acireale.

This a wonderful boutique property walking distance from town and quiet neighborhoods. The people are extraordinary nice, accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is also excellent. My only issue is it's on the highway and the highway noise is noticeable.

Stayed 1 night as part of cycling tour of Sicily. While this hotel appears to be a bit out of the way it's quite walkable into the centre of Modica. The room and breakfast were both excellent. Although it's next to the train station there was no noise from the trains.

It's one of the best 4☆ hotels in the area, big comfortable rooms and well managed, a bit hard to reach but that is due to the city planning. Private parking is also a big plus

Just outside of town, ie 10mins walk, but quiet so a good nights sleep. Rooms very clean, enough space, good shower, wifi, a relatively modern building. Breakfast average, too much pre-packed food, ie not enough fresh food / juice, coffee grim.

Great location, 15 minutes walking to the central train station and other attractions 👍 Room was comfortable and front desk staff were helpful who offered breakfast bags for early check out 👍 breakfast was okay too. In the last night of staying, there was noise above our floor, called the front desk at about 10 pm who took care of it promptly!

This 120-year-old grand dame of a hotel is filled with character. It’s not shiny and new and WiFi is patchy in the rooms but it is ideally located and has a lovely pool area and gorgeous views.

What a great resort set in a quite area! We stayed there for a week with kids and had a great time. Rooms were very nice, updated, cleaned regularly, no complaints.
