Hotel Byron in Montecatini-Terme

I am a high school student who took a trip and stayed at this property. Unwelcoming and grumpy staff, rooms in pitiful conditions, with 2 inches of dust on the floor. The hairdryer is just to have an extra accessory to add to the list. Really terrible food at dinner, overcooked pasta and a second course that didn't live up to expectations, finally the dessert was a chocolate "dessert" which was inedible so much so that one of our companions didn't feel well. The room door doesn't close and the justification is that the floor is occupied only by our group and therefore no one should enter except the caretaker who deliberately and without knocking decides to enter our room to insult us. Some of our companions felt ill due to dust allergy and in response we were told that the hotel was not informed of this problem even though there should be no dust in a hotel. Next to the window of room 406 there is a pigeon nest and there was no water. Not recommended for everyone

Given that when we arrived the room was cold, the minibar desolately empty and turned off. Our stay continued with the difficulties associated with a poorly functioning shower and a less than comfortable bed. But, last but not least, the masterpiece: as hotel guests we were unable to dine at the restaurant on 31.12 because we did not intend to use the "dinner" option, although we asked for the possibility of eating even just the first of said dinner, we was answered: sorry we can't! No concessions to those who, coming from far away, just wanted to spend a nice evening in the hotel chosen for their overnight stay. The hotelier's first thought should be the needs of the customers. It was not so.

We arrived at the hotel on a study trip, Spanish high school students, and the first thing we didn't find was the poor quality of the dinner, hard macaroni, plastic meat, and a cake from the previous week. They give us the keys and we go up to the rooms, the stairs with the railing that falls and when we finally get to our room we have the worst surprise of our lives. Three beds in a room that should have been single, the closet could not be opened due to the extra table that blocked its door, a television the size of a tablet, hard mattresses and plucked pillows, sheets and towels dirty and even covered in blood, a window from my great-grandmother's time and the bathroom doesn't close the door, we have to block ourselves with our suitcases, the water comes out dirty and disgusting, the towels are tablecloths and the shower is full of microbacteria, the shower gel they put is fairy, and they assume that I bring my own amenities from home since they don't provide anything, not even hand soap. We went down to breakfast the next day and found a cardboard breakfast, from the previous week and very basic, the croisants that you throw on the floor and they bounce because they are so hard. We went down to reception to ask for Wi-Fi and we found that he doesn't speak Spanish, English or French, only Italian. He explains to us that Wi-Fi only works downstairs and sometimes, to get coverage, we have to go up to the window, horrible. I find it shameful that this hotel is given three stars since with the quality it does not deserve even one. An experience that I would never repeat or recommend to anyone.

I am truly disapointet by the staff at the brekfest. They watch how much salami or bread are you gonna take. Shame to call this even a hotel.
