Rooms look less luxurious than the pictures, but still quite comfortable. The hotel structure is modern and good looking and the staff is kind and helpful. I do recommend. The view to Fuji is worth it, but if you cannot afford it, it is a short walk to Lake Kawaguchi to have the unique view.

You can stay overnight before heading up Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. It's only a 5-minute drive from Tateyama Station, and it's very quiet in the mountains at night. The hotel is indeed old, but the service is very friendly, and there are free beverage machines in the lobby.

The service here was actually problematic for a hot spring inn. They didn't even make up the futon beds for us. I had to call and ask them to, and even then, they didn't do it. They just opened the closet where the futons were stored, basically implying I should make the bed myself. The facilities are a bit old, but the location and views are great, and breakfast was good. A nice sized onsen in Iwamuro onsen village. Very clean and nice facility, love its outdoor bath. Food is great. It has nice garden that you can stroll, I highly recommend to walk around the garden. It is on the village‘a main street, you can walk around the village after you check in, wearing the relaxed garment that the hotel provides.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. We chose a room with windows, and the hotel gave us a corner room, so the front window offered a perfect view of Lake Kawaguchiko, and the side window overlooked Mount Fuji. The hotel also has free hot spring baths, which was a nice bonus. We also booked breakfast and dinner, and they were quite good!

The hotel is old but clean and comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom amenities are still traditional. If you don't have a car, make sure you have everything you need, as it's a long walk to find the nearest restaurant and shops. We have a nice kawaguchiko lake view from the room.

I was able to soothe my fatigue from Shosenkyo in Isawa Onsen. The room was spacious and clean, with a modern Japanese style. we had such a quality time at Kokuya, lovely ryokan with a long history but it is very clean and comfortable. Our room is by the river, the sound of stream is so soothing. The staff were kind and the food was delicious. As for the bath, when the pressure was out of order, you could see the stars from the open-air bath, and a rainbow in the morning bath. It felt great!

The hotel I booked in Tateyama Kurobe for adjustment was very big. The front desk clerk was very kind and allowed me to check in early, which I deserve a thumbs up for. The location was a little remote, but there was a free shuttle to the station so it was okay.
