Miru Niseko, Niseko1 / 14
9.1
Hokkaido, Niseko, 259-133 Aza Kabayama 🧭 Map
The location was private and beautiful but close enough that their hotel shuttles and the free bus were able to get you anywhere you wanted to go within ten minutes
ROOM was the perfect size with a big window and wonderful view. Quiet, serene, modern, extremely clean. ONSEN is not coed, but you can talk to each other through the wall if there’s nobody else out there
Our stay at Miru Niseko was excellent - the staff there was incredibly helpful and arranged so many things for and answered all of our questions
During our checkout, the local Hakodate line was shutdown, so Emma and a few other staff members worked diligently for almost 2 hours to find us a taxi to the Shinkansen station
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere. The service was exceptional- friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. They even helped us bring our luggage upstairs to our room
We stayed on the second floor which offers views of the mountains and a large snowy field, so it feels incredibly secluded and peaceful. We never noticed any noise issues

Hokkaido, Asahikawa, Higashi 3 Jo, 6 Chome?4, 095-0013 gorod Sibetsu, Hokkaydo, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
Breakfast was served as a set meal on weekdays, but a buffet on weekends. The sauna was properly equipped with ladles and buckets, allowing for self-service. The large public bath was also clean
The rooms were average, but clean and comfortable. The parking lot was surprisingly full. The amenities and facilities were also great, making this a facility that caters to all your needs
There's an ice dispenser, microwave, and coin laundry, and you can use the water dispenser after taking a bath. You can move around the building in your yukata or other loungewear
There's also laundry clips for drying clothes, so everything is taken care of
Is this a regular lodging for construction workers? It's a little far from the station. If you take the Nayoro Line bus, it's a little closer if you get off at Shibetsu Odori 6-chome.
I'll say it's good that the rooms are non-smoking... If there was a smoking area on each floor, I'd give it 5 stars...😓

Hokkaido, Hakodate, 13-14 Matsukaze-cho 🧭 Map
Conveniently located a short walk away from the hakodate train station, reception was warm and welcoming, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable, overall a great place to stay for a short trip in hakodate
Hotel Sun City Hakodate is a business hotel located in Matsukazecho, Hakodate City, Hokkaido. On June 24, 2022, I took the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry from Oma to Hakodate. From there, drive through Hakodate city
Arrived at Hotel Suncity Hakodate. The parking lot is next to the hotel and is very spacious. On this day, I was in room 501 on the 5th floor. Unfortunately, there is no outlet near the bedside
It's a fairly large restaurant. You can choose from 4 types of breakfast, and I chose the Japanese set meal. There were more side dishes than I expected, and I was very satisfied. My grandmother had a Western set meal
The second night was on a Saturday, so the price was a little higher, and it was a bargain at 9,230 yen. After finishing our meal, we drove on. Hotel Suncity Hakodate 13-14 Matsukazecho, Hakodate, Hokkaido 0138-27-0030
The bread is also thickly sliced and quite filling. After breakfast, we went sightseeing around Goryokaku by car. Once we returned to the hotel, we parked the car and headed for sightseeing in Hakodate city on foot

Clean and accommodating, right in front of the canal and minutes from Denuki Koji and Sakaimachi street. Nice onsen and Japanese breakfast buffet
This was my third time staying here. The staff's service was excellent, making my stay very pleasant. I'd love to visit again.
They helped with my luggage upon arrival, and provided a check-in service. I booked a room with a private onsen (hot spring bath), which overlooked the canal – the view was amazing! There was also a massage chair
It’s around 13 minutes walk from JR Otaru Station, if you have luggage, just get a taxi to go there, only take around 5 minutes. This hotel is just too cute, a vintage vibe, lovely welcome drinks in classical lobby
My room is for single person, small but it’s fine. Japanese breakfast is amazing. You can have a canal view while you’re having breakfast. They provide free onsen or paid private onsen (2500 yen for 50 minutes)
Service and food was above expectation. Lovely ryokan, really enjoyed the private bath in the room and the breakfast and dinner were amazing quality. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

The overall environment is quite comfortable and the architecture is quite unique. I had a pleasant 3-day vacation.
The retro atmosphere was great. The fact that all the keys were sweet added a nice touch.
It's very close and I'd like to use it again. Check-in and check-out procedures have been automated. I'm satisfied with how efficient it is.

Hokkaido, Otaru, 1-1 Sakura 🧭 Map
Best hotel of my trip. The service was impeccable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything is so thoughtful. The food was excellent and the room is huge. The onsen was awesome and looks beautiful
Honestly, the only drawback is the price. The room was spacious enough, and the elevated location offered fantastic views. Both dinner and breakfast were among the best I've had for a half-board stay!
The views of the room stunning. Yes, this is Japan, so expect raw fish for breakfast but the most delicious. Very very special place, worth visiting any time. Everything will exceed your expectations
The food was delicious, and the large public bath was simply fantastic. Despite being the priciest hotel I've ever stayed at, I definitely felt it was worth every penny.
An excellent experience, even better than Hongleyuan in my opinion. The hot spring views are unbeatable, and the Japanese breakfast and dinner were also very unique.
The staff at Ginrinsou were fabulous and we felt so welcomed to the hotel. The history of the building made it an incredible experience.

I didn't use it, but there was a rest area next to it, which I thought might be for day-trippers. As for the food, dinner was mediocre, but breakfast was delicious. I ordered the "Kaze" course for dinner
Dinner was stewed with whelks and fish, but it was a bit disappointing. The hors d'oeuvres were also a bit disappointing. The only dishes I thought were delicious on the course were the roast pork and salmon belly
The room was clean and nice, but the toilet had a really strange smell from the moment I entered, and I really didn't like it when it was left running. As for the public bath, the bath was really nice
5), a jet bath (a mixed spring?), a dry sauna (stone-type, two-tiered, for 6-9 people, with a 5-minute hourglass), a cold bath (18°C), and an outdoor open-air rock bath (Well No. 5) and a vibrating bath (Well No
Visited on September 12, 2025 I gave it a rating of 3, but it's actually more like a 3. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, but the bath was so hot I had to dilute it with water before using it
There was no shower area, so I had to use the shower in the room, which was inconvenient

I especially loved that the room had an oil heater! I'm sensitive to air conditioning drafts, so that was a huge relief. Even without the AC on, it stayed warm and cozy, even when it was below freezing outside
Super comfortable stay for 4 nights, Japanese style room is not big, but enough for my 4 adults. The breakfast was delicious and absolutely great value for a wonderful start to every day of my trip
The location is convenient, very close to Tanukikoji Shopping Street. The only drawback is that the double bed is a bit small and the room is not soundproof. Everything else is good.
Excellent location for the snow festival, good price and the sento is surprisingly cozy. Washing machines and massage chairs. Also a 7/11 and a Lawson next door resp. 50m away.
Awsome hotel in sapporo, even though the room is small but have lots of add on facilities such as public bath, comic book corner, massage chair, and lots item on loan.
Plus there is a hot spring pool, cool🛀. The counter staff was polite, to thank them for helping me book the mountain stream return express bus

In order not to disturb the neighbors during the New Year's Eve, we chose an independent villa. The rooms are beyond imagination. The rooms are clean and the facilities are great
The service staff’s introduction is also very detailed and they recommend local delicious and fun places. All in all, I feel that the one-time price is very good and the experience is great
This is our favourite vacation home in the world, we’re stayed there 5th times in the row, every time don’t want to leave, excellent property and awesome property management
If I have the opportunity to go to Hanguan again in the future, I will definitely Will choose this villa again

Stylish hotel with signature furniture, good place for families or groups Love the special coffee and tea choices at the restaurant for refreshment. Breakfast is amazing, Dutch baby is provided!
Stayed there for a night, the public bath is very clean, but since the hotel is not big 10 people might feel crowd. Breakfast are great, cheers to the chef and staffs !
The hotel environment and facilities are excellent. They also offer unlimited complimentary drinks, which is a nice touch. It's very close to the ski resort, making it perfect for skiers
One of the best hotel we’ve stayed in Japan. We booked this at pretty good price (11000 yen a night) for such high quality room. Probably cause we came during off-peak season. Room is fully equipped with all necessities
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Place is cozy and lovely especially during winter season. Free flow of Furano wines from afternoon to night. I strongly recommend and we will revisit again.
There is also a microwave there for you to reheat food from convenient store if you chose not to dine out. There is also an onsen on site which is very nice also

The facilities were clean, and the room was comfortable. The large windows made it fun to look out at the scenery. It's a shame I couldn't try the large bath, though ㅠㅠ. The room itself was very comfortable and nice
Better to provide bottle of water in the room The service and equipment are good
In the evening, we went to Tokusuke across the street for yakiniku (grilled meat), and the kids were very happy; the beef was superb! I will definitely stay at Tomakomai Prince again next time
super nice and good hotel super nice and good hotel super nice and good hotel
The rooms are clean, the large communal bath with sauna, and the breakfast at the restaurant on the 11th floor with a view are delicious and satisfying
To my surprise, there was even a hot spring bath! But the biggest surprise was the restaurant on the 11th floor – a 270-degree unobstructed view, absolutely stunning! To make it easier for my family to have breakfast, I booked an extra breakfast

Wakkanai, 2-7-15 Daikoku, Wakkanai-shi, Hokkaido 🧭 Map
Past the front desk, there were amenities next to the elevator, coffee and tea for your room, an aroma pot, socks, a bag for changing clothes for the bath in the room, baby shampoo, ice cream for after your bath, etc
The desk is also spacious, and the chair is made of wood, so the height and backrest angle cannot be adjusted. There is no shortage of power around the desk. The power is in triple digits and the connection is good
Only a twin room was available, and given it was peak season, it was a fairly high price for a room only, but it was understandable as it had a hot spring bath and was close to the downtown area
The air conditioning only works either for heating or cooling depending on the season. The large public bath only has 5 seats for the washing area, but it's not crowded
The receptionist was polite, and although there was a slight mistake, they upgraded my room even though there was nothing particularly bothersome
Inside the building, you take off your shoes and wear slippers, so the floor is clean. The room is a twin single-use room, spacious and clean

The place is old. But not bad.
I inhaled thirdhand smoke for two nights, and the air conditioner was already tainted by the smoke, no matter how much air freshener I used. Breakfast is a little over 1,000 yuan if you buy it on site
He didn't take the initiative to give us the breakfast coupons we had already bought when we checked in. We went downstairs to communicate again and gave us the breakfast coupons
Cleanliness: Average Facilities: Hot springs are available, with separate baths for men and women, which was quite good. I went there at night and it was empty
The breakfast was OK, the milk was delicious, and it was self-service. It was very touching in such a remote place. We didn't go to the hot spring
You can walk here from Muroran JR Station and pass by a drugstore. The old man at the front desk doesn't speak English

The room was spacious and comfortable. The shampoo, conditioner and body soap were good. The open-air bath had a great view of the stars and the temperature was just right. The breakfast was also satisfying!
Very pleasant place to stay to relax. Not much activities nearby like to walk round or view. Quite unfortunate the restaurant was closed and we didn't get to try their food
It was absolutely amazing!!! The stars seen from the open-air bath were amazing!!! I will stay here again!!! It was also great that there was a Japanese-style room!!!
Location is a bit out of place. But its a good mid point stop as I was travelling from sapporo to lake akan.
The room was spacious and very clean and we stayed for 2 days. There was a play place for children. A big comfortable to relax after insen. I had good view of lake and mountain from our room
We booked for 2 adults and 1 kid, the room is extremely big compare with Japan’s hotel. It is good for stay over. Also I try their dinner in onsen restaurant. It is good and valuable.

It's a bit difficult to get to without a car, but if you do, it's well worth it. The hotel offers a refined dinner and breakfast, clean rooms, and a sauna with a somewhat dated feel, but well-maintained
Super friendly and welcoming staff, we were being treated like their family. Historical hotel but you can definitely see the owner's effort in keeping it modernised. Yummy soba noodle too! Definitely recommend.
Unlike a business hotel, this old-fashioned hot spring inn is located on a hill away from the city center, and we were very satisfied with its location, facilities, and the simple service of the staff.
Very authentic Ryokan. Nice and quiet. The Ryokan serves excellent Japanese breakfast and Soba (freshly mad dinner. Service and hospitality was top notch. Onsen was lovely and relaxing.
We chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four
The yukatas provided in the rooms are perfectly ironed and folded, adding a touch of ceremony to soaking in the hot springs. The staff are also incredibly attentive and friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Deer Valley Hotel. Our room was connected twin room, very spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 people. Dinner and breakfast are both buffets with decent quality. The onsen is small but good.
It is a very worthwhile accommodation experience with two meals for one stay. The dinner is a two-course set menu with fresh ingredients and delicious cooking, and the service is attentive and attentive
They care about food waste a lot (which I absolutely understand), so they rather make a single plate for each person instead of preparing a huge buffet, and then throwing away half of the food - I absolutely welcome this idea, it’s very thoughtful
The bathhouse is large and clean, the public space is spacious, the bed in the room is large, and there is a high chair by the window to rest and watch the scenery. The scenery outside the window is pleasant
the dishes were incredibly well prepared, tasted amazing and looked delicious! The breakfast was also quite interesting, a single plate with all kinds of stuff - curry, bread, butter, sausages, salad
Some of the staff speak very good english as well, which made the communication quite pleasant. The dinner was an absolute highlight, a 5 course dinner with vegetables, fish etc

Nestled on a mountain outside Furano, a taxi ride to the hotel costs around 3000 JPY. It boasts hot spring facilities, and if you visit in mid-July, you'll be treated to extensive lavender fields covering the slopes.
Both the indoor and outdoor hot spring baths were spacious and well-maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly. It's not far from the ski resort, making it a great choice for skiers
Tradition Hot spring hotel in Furano. Staffs are friendly and service is great! Japanese dinner is very good. Breakfast is so-so. Must try if you want to try local hot spring.
The hotel's location is best suited for those traveling by car. The Japanese-style dinner and breakfast package (half-board) was excellent, especially with the crab included
A bit far from Furano city. However good view as location at highland. Enjoyable and beautiful view during onsen. Great dinner and breakfast. Clean and good service.
Very quiet, nice view. Dinner is really good and generous. Even not so many guest, dishes, quality and quantity are very good, and fresh.

Good overall quality Onsen next to the roadside station Free parking Entrance fee ¥440 per adult, free locker Staff were friendly and courteous Everyone should try The outdoor onsen area as you can overlooking the ocean in the daytime while watching stars by night From the picture they displayed even the Japanese Emperor was visited this Onsen Highly recommend
This hotel has a rich history, as can be seen from the photos of celebrities on the walls. The hotel's hot spring facilities and rooms are very clean and tidy, but please note the opening hours
You can also order additional meals, some of which are very delicious, and you can enjoy dinner while enjoying the sea view. There is a seaside park nearby where you can go for a walk
Cheap outdoor onsen stopover when you're driving along the Shin-Hidaka area. They say the water is natural but I may have smelled chlorine. I could be wrong. There's also a decent restaurant in there.

Amazing stay with private onsen (selected rooms) and lots of amenities and facilities in an all-in-one integrated stay.
There's also a family bath in additional to the normal gender segregated pools, and there is a kids' swimming pool with a slide. Very cool find so close to the city
The independent hot spring massage at the inn was great, and the kids loved it. However, the kettle in the room was rusty, indicating poor hygiene and upkeep
The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money
They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind
Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience

Sapporo’s Secret Onsen Sanctuary Marukoma Onsen Ryokan, Chitose1 / 27
8.7
Hokkaido, Chitose, 7 Horobinai 🧭 Map
Dinner, I think, was decent for the price! The ingredients seemed fresh, and it wasn't as bad as some online reviews claimed! Overall, Lake Shikotsu is worth visiting, and Marukoma is worth experiencing! It's an old brand, and the service is quite good! When we checked in, we casually mentioned needing a taxi the next day, and at breakfast, a staff member came to ask if we needed help calling one!...
The view is really beautiful, like a painting, the onsen is very good, interestingly there is a certain time given for photos and videos, there are special hours when the onsen is closed.
Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen
And the view from the public cafe is incredibly comfortable; just sitting there and daydreaming is a pure delight! The rooms are just for sleeping, small, and without a view, but the previous two hotels weren't any better
I highly recommend driving there if you have a rental car! They even gave us soba and sake, so even though we didn't do the kaiseki dinner, we were full and well-rested
First, the onsen views are the best because of its elevated location. I wouldn't recommend the wild onsen as it's unmaintained and the water is very cold
