This was such a nice hotel to stay in, within eyesight and a 6 minute walk of the ferry terminal. So convenient! The staff was very friendly and helpful in English. They even gave us a morning ride to the trail head to hike Mt Rishiri. The best part was the food! The dinner was a beautiful spread of dishes and so tasty. Breakfast was the same. Airport pick-up and drop-off is very convenient, dinner is plentiful, and the mountain behind the building is beautiful.

Not far from the pier, when the boat arrives, elderly staff members holding banners will be waiting at the exit to pick up and drop off guests (the banners are all in Japanese, so be sure to check beforehand to see if they are Japanese). The location is great, close to the ferry terminal and Cape Peshi. After dinner, we went outside and saw the sun setting over Mount Rishiri, and it was very beautiful, with the peak looming in the darkness. The room was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The old man at the front desk was very attentive. When he learned that I was going to climb Mount Rishiri, he specially drove me along the way. Since I might not be able to catch dinner until I come back from hiking at night, my uncle still specially reserved dinner for me and waited for me to come back.

We stayed for 5 days and had room (suite) 502. We enjoyed every aspect of this lovely hotel, for example each morning we had a different breakfast, beautifully prepared and more than enough. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice view at the mountain. Good supermarkt (Co-op) nearby.

Far from the station, but close to the attractions, the food is average, everything else is OK

I checked into the hotel again after the epidemic. The front desk service was very polite and welcoming. The hotel is located on T-shaped street. It is very close to Mount Hakodate, the church group and Hakodate Port. The room layout is reasonable and has various hand-brewed coffees and CD players. It is also suitable for daze. This was my first time staying here. Although check-in was late, at around 9pm, they handled it with a smile. However, it was a shame that I missed out on the alcoholic drink service in the lobby. The room was spacious and very convenient. The bed was wide enough that I, who am 156cm tall, could sleep sideways without any problems. As for breakfast, the main dish was a colorful salad. About 20 minutes walk from the station. It's fine except for the smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. There is a large bath, but I was too tired to go. It's a cheap and good place to stay near Hakodate Station.

I especially loved that the room had an oil heater! I'm sensitive to air conditioning drafts, so that was a huge relief. Even without the AC on, it stayed warm and cozy, even when it was below freezing outside. Although the building is old, the facilities and plumbing were new and clean, which made my stay very satisfying!

Super comfortable stay for 4 nights, Japanese style room is not big, but enough for my 4 adults. The breakfast was delicious and absolutely great value for a wonderful start to every day of my trip. Plus there is a hot spring pool, cool🛀. The counter staff was polite, to thank them for helping me book the mountain stream return express bus. 🙇

The location is convenient, very close to Tanukikoji Shopping Street. The only drawback is that the double bed is a bit small and the room is not soundproof. Everything else is good.

Awsome hotel in sapporo, even though the room is small but have lots of add on facilities such as public bath, comic book corner, massage chair, and lots item on loan.

The accommodation is clean and simple. The owner is very welcoming (even though he smokes).

Decent place for the price. Clean even if the building is a bit old. It actually has its charm. Be warned, there are no combini or restaurant around there. And if you take the train make sure there is one coming back or you will.have to pay for a cab to get back.

the staff is kind of rude. I understand their command of English language is limited. But the attitude can be seen through body language.

There is no elevator in the hotel, you need to carry your own luggage, and you need to move three flights of stairs by yourself. The dinner is mediocre, and the breakfast is even worse! The hotel is old! There is no air conditioning in the hotel (lobby and room)!

Nestled on a mountain outside Furano, a taxi ride to the hotel costs around 3000 JPY. It boasts hot spring facilities, and if you visit in mid-July, you'll be treated to extensive lavender fields covering the slopes.

The hotel is a bit dated but reasonably priced. However, its mountain location makes it very inconvenient for guests without a car.

We booked a private room for 1 king as a last minute extension of our ski trip to be close to hanazono ski resort. The common living room area/lobby is extremely cosy with complimentary hot tea and coffee that can be enjoyed by the fireplace throughout the day. Super comforting after a cold day out. Unparalleled attention to guests! staff dropped and picked us from the resort and to Kutchan (for dinner and JR stn). Helped recommend a yummy Gosetsu tempura udon restaurant and made reservations. Helped with our Chitose train schedule. Great location for the new Honozano. 3-5 min drive from Honozano 308. Common area is warm and cozy with the Georgian decor and fireplace. Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen. Then there was the extremely overpriced Aigashiro, which was even worse – no service, no ambiance. Marukoma was my last stay and also the cheapest. The view is really beautiful, like a painting, the onsen is very good, interestingly there is a certain time given for photos and videos, there are special hours when the onsen is closed.

Excellent ryokan, great facilities, very clean, staff are amazing. Free parking helped. The breakfast spread was the best I had at any Japanese ryokans.

I highly recommend driving there if you have a rental car! They even gave us soba and sake, so even though we didn't do the kaiseki dinner, we were full and well-rested. The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful; I want to go back again!!
