The staff service is excellent, and the outdoor onsen is beautiful and very enjoyable. The only downside is that during peak hours, there are a lot of external visitors, but if you avoid those times, it's incredibly relaxing. There are limited food options both inside and nearby, so it's advisable to come prepared for that. The room was lovely, and the futons were very comfortable.
Breakfast is good, many varieties. Good service
Clean and quiet hotel with attentive staff.
Check-in was smooth, and the room was well maintained.
Would happily stay here again.
the onsen was surprisingly good.
You have to make your own bed. You also have to use the public bath for showering. However, the breakfast was excellent. Overall, it's pretty good value for money.
Very clean rooms, outdoor onsen some organic matter but mostly ok. Though they tried to close breakfast early on us one morning. 3 people including myself didn't get the full breakfast buffet. Parking is about 10 spaces or so. I went in late March, away from peak season so was enough.

Perfect.
Dinner was delicious, the private bath was incredible.
Stereo in the room, awesome view, just a bit far from Otaru, definitely recommend.
Great location, nestled halfway up the mountain with beautiful views. The hotel service is excellent, offering pickup and drop-off at Otaru Station. The room also has a hot spring bath.
The private bath in the room is definitely the highlight of the room. Plus the front desk even offered to change our room with a better view of the sea! Love it!
Hotel was a little old but well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The shuttle service provided by the hotel was very convenient, we made good use of it everyday.
The room was spacious and nicely furnished. Having a private bath was definitely a plus.
Breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from JR Otaru Station. You can pre-book a shuttle service, which runs from 3 PM to 7 PM in the afternoon, and there are also morning shuttles available. We stayed for two days and used the shuttle bus daily, finding it very convenient.
It's also conveniently located close to Otaru Aquarium, Shuku-tsu Observation Deck, and the Blue Cave.

I think the quality of the breakfast is worth reviewing.
They responded to my sudden request and left a good impression. I would like to use this hotel again.
I arrived at the hotel to check in at 8pm. The front desk customer service was unable to answer my questions clearly. The room was large, but the bed was relatively thin. Men over 6 feet tall could not stretch out. In the end, the sofa was used as a bed. The breakfast buffet in the morning was a surprise, but the dining time was only one hour, which was quite rushed. The last breakfast time in the...
Great stay.
Huge room. Very very clean. And it so great I booked a room with private Onsen bath.
Staff were extremely polite. Just the buffet dinner was good but under what I expected.
Great stay
After dinner, I returned to the room and opened the quilt. I found that there was a large blood stain covered by my yukata. It was unimaginable that this happened in a high-priced Japanese hotel. I wanted to report it, but there was no one at the reception desk on the 1st floor of the hotel. After waiting for a while, only an old man showed up. Although I finally changed rooms, I was very disappointed...
Hot springs in Hakodate City. Hot spring pool in the room. The dinner buffet was a little weak!

A bit far away from jr station, about 15min walk. Comfortable and nice stay. Breakfast is good
Enjoy d stay during my winter vacation in Sapporo.
The service was very polite and the single room was clean and spacious! I would like to stay here again when I go to Hokkaido!
I rented a car. The staff was very friendly and even came out to explain the parking lot to me. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, and the accessibility is convenient.
Breakfast is free, and I was surprised at how delicious the broth was for dishes like Nikujaga (meat and potato stew) and Oyako-ni (chicken and egg stew). There was a wide variety of food, and coffee was available in the room, so I was very satisfied! I would like to stay here again ^ ^
It was nice that it had a large public bath and free breakfast.
The location was a little inconvenient.
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
A very comfortable and relaxing place.
The public onsen has beautiful scenery, while the private onsen offers great privacy and comfort.
The whole area is very clean, and there is a restaurant on the second floor, which makes everything very convenient.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a beautiful memory.
Met some incredibly nice staff members, and the environment was fantastic! The staff were *********, super friendly, and the floors were spotless.
For Japan, the room was quite spacious, and the facilities were very new. Housekeeping was prompt, and the Japanese breakfast was exquisite. The large, transparent windows offered a great view.
The environment here is first-rate, and the air quality is excellent. There are lots of trees around, and the hot springs are fantastic, especially the outdoor ones where you can enjoy the snowy scenery. It's really suitable for families with children to come and visit.
This hotel is definitely worth staying at. I'm already planning to come back next year! The rooms are excellent, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The service was impeccable, absolutely nothing to complain about there. The only minor downside was that breakfast was pretty average.
The private onsen is great because you can use it whenever you want. The room type is also really beautiful.
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
You will surprise that in dinner time they provide free alcohol drink including osake . They also have coffee machine
They have onsen small one as well. The price is incredible cheap compared to place surrounding.
Cute stay and was very functional. Had everything i needed for one night.
I'd say it's 99% perfect. First of all, it's extremely well located. Secondly, there's a bar with all kinds of free drinks, as well as towels, toothbrushes, etc., and a snack bar with noodles and small snacks (more than enough for a meal). The cabin is fine, not too small. So, really perfect!
The self-service drink area had a great variety, they even offered three different types of alcohol!
It was a very satisfying experience, with a large public bath, sauna, free drink bar, one free mask, and noodles for dinner. I didn't get breakfast, but I got it for free as part of a promotion. It was buffet style and I think the selection was more extensive than other capsule hotels.
I stayed in a capsule room. The capsule itself is old, but considering the location and price, it's understandable. Breakfast was included for a limited time, which was helpful. But if you have to pay for it...
Top of the best, view from living room is stunning, comfy mattress and huge space for family. Private parking, staff speak good English and very helpful we had a great time and definitely return and highly recommended
Great staff! Knowledgeable and friendly
Extremely nice apartment style place to stay. The shuttles were very convenient and not too far away from the resort. Really easy walk to the konbinis and restaurants.
Just a dam good little jem
Brilliant stay! staff supper accomodating room great short stroll to great food and bars, great drying room perfect for chilling after skiing and great value for money.
Amazing unit, Modern warm, clean & comfortable. The major factor during our stay was how obliging the check in staff were, the boys and Ariana could not do enough for you. We were transported daily to and from various parts of the resort, each day.
The room is big and the hygiene is very good
You can also see Mount Yotei
Very comfortable stay
Hotel staff service attitude is very good
Introduced many scenic spots to us
Well worth staying

This was my third time staying here. The staff's service was excellent, making my stay very pleasant. I'd love to visit again.
They helped with my luggage upon arrival, and provided a check-in service. They speak fluent English. I booked a room with a private onsen (hot spring bath), which overlooked the canal – the view was amazing! There was also a massage chair. The complimentary wagashi (Japanese sweets) were delicious, and the mini-fridge was stocked with free drinks. Dinner was also quite good.
This hotel is excellent in every aspect.
The staff are incredibly friendly and, despite limited English, they make a genuine effort to communicate. Three staff members were waiting outside for our check-in, and they escorted us all the way to the door during check-out.
The location is super convenient, right next to the Otaru Canal, and it's a quick walk to Otaru Station.
The hotel offers a lounge...
This is my second time here, and I'm completely satisfied with everything. The hospitality, in particular, is exceptional, making it my number one hotel to stay at again!
Perfect location and status
Additionally, spa is my best experience
Clean and accommodating, right in front of the canal and minutes from Denuki Koji and Sakaimachi street. Nice onsen and Japanese breakfast buffet
Really nice place to stay and ski 🎿. Good breakfast and comfortable room and amenities.
Easlity to drive around the area. Nearly is shopping market.
Very nice place and Nice breakfast! Free parking space infront of hotel. Only 5min drive to Ningle Terrace. The hotel with a small onsen. The only thing to take note is there is no elevator to second floor, have to use staircase and carry the travel case to the upper level.
The hotel is a bit old and probably is time to do some renovation. You need to have a car to drive there as it is not very convenient if you do not have car and rely on public transport..if you have big luggage, is better to request to stay in ground floor as there is no life and you need to carry the big luggage yourself going up to narrow staircase.
This hotel use the self check in system. However they don't remind guest about the check out time so I am never informed about the check out time. Finally the last day, the receptionist just came to my door at 10:00 and told me I need to pay. I was shocked and asked politely about not charging extra money and got out the room at 10:20. They finally still needed to charge me 2000 Yan. I requested to...
Great service and breakfast. Clean room.
- Food is cleared quite early, finished by 8:30 AM, but it was delicious.
- Close to the ski area.
- Room insulation isn't great; you can hear people walking on the second floor and conversations outside.
- The bedroom is spacious.
- The air purifier has quite a bit of dust.
- Despite all this, I was still impressed by the atmosphere.
- No drinking water provided.
- Staff were friendly and easy to...
Stayed here last week during heavy snowfall, and choosing this ryokan turned out to be the perfect decision.
Check-in was detailed and thoughtful. The butler, who I believe was named Junko, spent about 30 minutes explaining the room, amenities, and house rules, using picture cards and translation tools due to limited English, which made the process clear and smooth.
The room was cosy with a beautiful...
On the last day of my trip, I wanted to experience one of the top 100 hot spring hotels. Upon entering, staff knelt to greet me, and I was offered homemade matcha and cookies. The hotel had a rustic charm. Entering the room, I was immediately struck by its cleanliness and spaciousness. In the morning, I could see the sea and seagulls; sitting and sipping tea while daydreaming was incredibly relaxing
The hotel staff were polite and friendly, providing excellent service. There was a 45-minute private hot spring bath; the public bath was a bit small. The private hot spring area was very nice and clean. The room faced the sea and had a sea view.
A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming...
Sea view room, no choice, just enjoy it when you get in, and you can even feed the seagulls hahahahaha (secretly)
Wonderful sea view from rooms, hospitable service, great spring
Evening is perfect except the dinner is a little overpriced. Don’t think it’s up to a Michelin one star standard any more.
Spa facilities: Massage, Sauna, Spa and wellness centre
The staffs there are super nice, they will try their best to support you when you need to make a reservation at a restaurant. They will also recommend what is the popular cuisine nearby. The food at the hotel is also decent if you want to dine in. The choice is limited but quality is good.
FURANO HOTEL in Hokkaido is a luxurious hideaway nestled in a secluded forest. The spacious and elegant rooms, many with balconies, offer stunning mountain views and starry skies, with occasional deer sightings – truly an immersive experience. The natural hot springs are private and uncrowded, making for a wonderfully therapeutic soak. Dining focuses on French cuisine, and the breakfast is fresh, abundant...
Very good hotel and staff, will come back furano and stay in this hotel
The hotel has a beautiful environment, and the exterior and lobby are lovely. However, the rooms themselves are a bit disappointing; the decor is quite dated, but the two-person room is very spacious.
Wonderful stay at Furano hotel with super white snowing view!
I was completely misled by Ctrip into booking this hotel. It's not a newly opened hotel in 2025 at all; it hasn't been renovated in a long time, and it's definitely not a five-star hotel.
We enjoyed a short, two-night stay at Zaborin Ryokan last weekend, and we loved every minute of the stay. The accommodations were exceptional! The suite was spacious at ~100 square meters (~1100 square feet). There was a private outdoor onsen as well as an internal onsen that we loved using. The living room allowed us to relax comfortably in the suite even though we did not use the separate dining...
Zaborin Onsen Ryokan truly exceeded our expectations! The beautiful natural scenery was incredibly refreshing, and combined with delicious meals, a clean and spacious room, and delightful indoor and outdoor onsen baths, it made for a perfect vacation experience.
Our second visit to Zaborin, this time in the winter. The place is truly special in the snowfall, with the illuminated trees providing a wonderful background. The service remains impeccable. The room is gorgeous, with its views to the exterior. The amount of privacy is amazing. Breakfasts and dinners are in rooms that are essentially private. We found the food better this visit. The preparation...
Finally checked off my must-stay hotel! Getting to the hotel from Sapporo was easier than I expected. Zaborin offers a pick-up service from Kuch'an Station. The autumn scenery along the way was breathtaking. This adjective also describes the Michelin-starred dining experience; I personally preferred the breakfast, which was exceptionally refined.
A truly wonderful experience. The setting is private and the rooms feel nestled in the woodland. The service is friendly, polite and attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the indoor and outdoor spring pools were a treat. The food was innovative and tasty with beautiful ingredients. The hotel itself is made for calm and relaxation. Would love to visit again!
Zaborin has entered into the ranks of one of my favourite ryokans in Japan. We visited in the midst of a very hot summer and even though the ryokan was not air conditioned and we were so warm the whole time (except in the room) we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We hope to visit in the wintertime and hopefully their booking policy will be a little more relaxed as wintertime booking requires a minimum...
By the time we reached the hotel was really late, staff was really nice and helped us move the luggage to our room. Checkout the next day was super easy with luggage storage facility. Overall a pleasant stay.
The location is very good, close to the church and convenient.
The bathroom facilities are old, the shower angle cannot be adjusted, the water flow cannot be controlled, and the cold and hot water must be adjusted to the appropriate temperature every time the faucet is turned on and off, which is very inconvenient.
The room is spacious and the bed is of moderate firmness. The curtains didn't block...
i liked that it was close to a tram station and had an Onsen!
The hotel is cozy and warm, kind of retro and full of details, room and public place is clean, staff is helpful and kind, onsen isn’t large but enough. Highly recommend.
reasonable price. staffs are very very very kind. wanna go again.

Nice location which walkable to jr station and price quite affordable
The hotel is too old; it's hard to charge devices as there aren't enough outlets.
Nice location but trains may be very noisy. Windows are very close to railways, around 5 metres away. So clean and comfortable room there are microwave in the room
It was in a good location. You get what you pay for its price. Conveniently located near station and a convenience store.
The size of the room and the location of the hotel were fantastic, especially for the cheap price we paid
Unfortunately, the room was not very clean and the bathroom had mold. The age of the hotel and the damage that has accrued is not something that can really be changed easily, but one would hope that the housekeepers would clean the bathroom
If you just need a bed to sleep in near the station...
Comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. I'll definitely stay here again.
The hotel is near the train station, convenient for transportation, and affordable.
I used it this time for a motorcycle tour.
You have to reserve motorcycle parking, which costs 300 yen per day, but it's underground so you don't have to worry about rain.
There was no air conditioning, but having the windows open was enough.
I'd like to use it again for another tour.
Very convenient because close to the bus and train stations.
Clean room, but not very fresh : some holes in the ceiling, the tap and the flush make noise a long time after usage, and a not very good smell (not too bad either)
It was conveniently located near Kushiro Station. There was an izakaya restaurant on the first floor, so it was easy to get dinner. I went there in November, which was cold, but the heating was on and I was able to stay comfortably.
It was conveniently located near Kushiro Station, so I stayed for one night. The room was modest and neither good nor bad, but there was no air conditioning, only a fan. Fortunately, it was cool outside on September 16th, so I was able to solve the problem by opening the window and turning on the fan, but I wouldn't recommend staying there in the middle of summer, like August.
The walls are thin and cheaply constructed, so you can totally hear everything from next door.
The hotel gives a ryokan experience. The buffet spread is amazing for both dinner and breakfast. It has a generous variety of Japanese cuisines and delicious sweet melons are offered all you can eat. The Shirahige falls are just behind the hotel.
The ingredients are unique, but the amount and variety of food are small, there are not many soups, the soup is authentic, and the opening hours are a bit short. The hotel is not far from the cable car, but we still chose to drive there.
It was an unrealistic landscape.
The hot springs are nice, but there is no private hot spring. The shabu-shabu dinner is good, but the other raw food is a bit hard to eat. The hotel has a car to take you to the cable car in the morning, which is great.
This hotel is on the mountain, private, quiet, and has a rich history. The room facilities are good. I arrived after Christmas at the end of December. The snow was thick and soft. I personally think it is better than the snow in Xuexiang. The breakfast and dinner are Japanese style, and the taste is good, suitable for Chinese tastes. The hot spring water is natural, with hot pools and warm water pools...
I will stay with family or friends if I have the chance in the future.

Nice and beautiful place❤️
I chose a room with shared bathroom facilities and a tatami mat. The toilet was very close by and clean, and the shower was decent too. It was snowing continuously, so I'd suggest they help wipe off luggage at the entrance; otherwise, it'd mess up the room when you come in. The air conditioning worked great, but the faucet in the room's sink needed a lot of force to turn off completely. The hotel was...
There was a fine layer of black dust on the duvet, but the bedsheets underneath were quite clean. The location is excellent, right next to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and Sapporo TV Tower. The public bath feels a bit dated, and the towel on the floor by the entrance was a little damp. Overall, it's decent for the price.
The room was spacious for one person and since I am big fan of hot springs the fact that the shower was a big public bathtub was very good to me.
Good location, nice service and free parking . They had public bath room .
It’s a smoking hotel but they accommodated and got me a non-smoking. Breakfast was not good and don’t recommend including.
For the price, this hotel was an excellent value. The room was large and comfortable, the location was convenient, and the staff were helpful. The room had a large western style bed, although it was extremely firm. If I were accustomed to sleeping on a futon I'm sure it would have been just fine, but as someone who always sleeps on a Western mattress I found it to be uncomfortable. Overall, I would...
For the price this hotel is hard to beat! We found it to be clean, convenient and very reasonable. Others are twice as expensive for the same room. Smoking is allowed in the hotel although are room did not smell at all. Would come back!

Hotel Sun City Hakodate is a business hotel located in Matsukazecho, Hakodate City, Hokkaido. On June 24, 2022, I took the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry from Oma to Hakodate. From there, drive through Hakodate city. Arrived at Hotel Suncity Hakodate. The parking lot is next to the hotel and is very spacious. the outside looks like this. The lobby is very large. On this day, I was in room 501 on the 5th floor...
Conveniently located a short walk away from the hakodate train station, reception was warm and welcoming, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable, overall a great place to stay for a short trip in hakodate
Quite easy to find, just straight ahead after arriving in Hakodate station (this is NOT where the Shinkansen stops). Front desk is friendly but the English is not very good. Tattoos are not allowed in the hot tub. Breakfast set is cheap, but not that great. Room is quiet but only 1sachet for green tea. Better go to convenience store nearby.
Very clean and comfortable room and in a convenient area
Not very convenient on snowy days though it is near a tram station. However service is good but room is a bit small and squeeze.
Average hotel. Cheap price. Was tidy but didn't find the service was that great.
