When I checked in, I received Chateraise Baumkuchen. The hospitality felt truly luxurious, like a proper hotel experience. The spa was spacious, and the open-air bath in the snow was absolutely amazing. The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and the desserts and ice cream were the same delicious Chateraise products you'd buy in their stores – I ate so much! I'd love to visit again in the summer...

I had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.

The buffet had a variety of options and was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of crab, which was great. There was a TV in the bathroom in the room. The pool and hot springs were great. If you're afraid of heights, the elevator might be scary... I'll post a photo, even though it's not very photogenic.

It was so amazing I've already booked another trip and will be going two more times this year!

This ski-themed hotel is really interesting, with a cute design and super convenient for skiers. They offer free ski waxing and a drying room. The large public bath is just okay, though, not quite up to the standard of a Japanese onsen hotel.

It's about a 15-minute walk from JR, which was a bit tiring with luggage. Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or people, it'll save you time and effort. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open two 30-inch suitcases. This is the best hotel in Asahikawa, and it's incredibly convenient for skiers. The room is spacious enough for two adults and one child, and the under-bed storage is a clever use of space. The only downside is the bathroom; you have to stand in the tub to shower, which is a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is perfect!

Jozankei Manseikaku has so much delicious food! The scenery is beautiful too! It's super convenient, only about a 30-40 minute drive to Sapporo Art Park and Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort respectively.

Onsen was nice and right behind the attraction within walking distance. Do note on the season when visiting because off peak may not have as many open stalls.

Hotel furniture is very old. There is bad smell in the room. The hotel is big and the attentiveness of service is below par of Japanese standard but of course better than American standard. Food quality and variety of Buffet is good. You have most of Japanese food you can think of.

This season offers great value for money, and it's incredibly convenient for skiers since you can access the slopes directly from the hotel's first floor. The hotel's location is fantastic, right by Nakajima Park. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a welcome drink upon checking in. There's also a convenience store nearby, which was really handy for grabbing snacks and water.

All three of us stayed in cabin Obihiro. We were really pleasantly surprised by the value of the hotel, boasting an onsen that was way better than we expected. Staff were helpful and good to us and everything was simple and easy!

Our room is probably called Family room, with 2 single beds and 1 queen bed. The room was pretty big for Japan size and kept clean. The furniture is old but it never bother us. The sento facility was the highlight for us. There's a Seico kombini across the road. We'll stay here again if opportunity arises.

I stayed overnight in Obihiro on my way back from a trip to Shihoro. There's a moor hot spring, and I warmed up in it twice. The breakfast buffet had a great view and was delicious! I'm glad I stayed here. The hotel arranged for my suitcase to be sent by courier, and I took the morning bus back to New Chitose Airport. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

This airport hotel is truly top-notch! The hot springs were fantastic – clean and not crowded at all. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the service was excellent. Super impressed! The only minor thing is that it's a bit of a walk to the domestic terminal, about 15 minutes.

Stayed here for a brief overnight stop en route to Shiretoko. Twin room was spacious by Japanese standard, with small double beds. Car park charge reasonable at ¥600. We used the laundry. Excellent place to stay at during the winter. Location was amazing, located right on the ski slope allowing my son to ski in and out of the hotel. The hotel's location is really convenient. I stayed here for 2 nights straight, then went to Asahikawa, and came back to Sapporo and stayed here again. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Sapporo.

Cross Hotel Sapporo has a good location. Close to JR Station, very convenience and nearby have Family Mart.

Located 10 mins walk from the Sapporo station. Easy to get to touristy places. Overseeing the TV station from the room. The public bath is great. We got a room on the cross floor, that comes with living room, meal counter and separate bath and toilet. That also gives us access to the lounge with very remarkable drinks and light bites.

The room and meals were excellent, but the building was so cold that I caught a cold. The room was far from the baths and restaurant, so I got chilled while walking there. I would definitely want to avoid going during the colder months.

The location is good, not far from the main commercial district. Sapporo city itself isn't that big, so there's no need to choose a hotel near Sapporo Station unless it's during the snowy season. This was the hotel I regretted booking the most on this Japan trip. The location wasn’t very convenient it’s quite a walk to the station if you’re dragging luggage, and it’s also a bit far from the shopping streets. The worst part was that housekeeping only came once every three or four days, including basic things like making the bed. That made the stay quite uncomfortable.

Excellent stay! The hotel is convenient and easy to access, with great transportation links. It's also very quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, even bowing. There's a large public bath and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) on the basement level. It's super convenient for getting to the JR station and exploring Aomori at night.

The room isn't huge, but it's big enough to fit two 28-inch suitcases. The sink is outside the bathroom. The hot spring pool downstairs is tiny and I wouldn't recommend it – it didn't seem very clean and had a lot of hair in it. Even though 'JR' is in the hotel's name, it's not actually that close to the JR station – about a 10-minute walk. There's a convenience store right across from the hotel. If convenience for getting around is a top priority for you, I wouldn't really recommend this place, especially if you're hauling luggage in snowy weather.
