Reviews
The room features a Japanese-style design with Western-style bed frames. The private bath is semi-open-air, allowing you to enjoy the night sky while soaking.
The two meals included in the stay were excellent; the food was fresh and richly seasoned, especially the tempura, which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
My stay was from January 1st to 2nd, so the meals were specially prepared by the chef for the New Year, available only for two days – a bit of luck!
This inn is perfect for couples and would be even more suitable for those traveling by car.
Since some people are complaining about the location: Onsen hotels are naturally located where the springs originate. Which, logically, is not down in the valley. If you are a good walker and have little luggage, you can easily walk from the station. Lawsons, 7eleven and various restaurants are just around the corner. If you have a lot of luggage or simply don't like walking, you can also get there by bus or taxi – for us the location was perfect!
What was particularly great was the staff. They are incredibly friendly and courteous. Thank you very much!
The residence is a bit far from main strip but so worth it. TV doesn't connect to Netflix but I think the purpose of a trip here should be yo disconnect and allows you to do just that! Spacious relative to rooms we stayed at in Tokyo
Definitely recommend and wish id booked more days
The hotel is beautiful, but it is located way far from the railway station, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk there.
There are no convenience stores nearby, you also need to walk somewhere.
The room is spacious and convenient. I was sitting at the balcony, and I like it.
You get a feeling that you visit a middle-age village. The breakfast is awesome, I recommend it.
The guy who provided the tour and service and served the breakfast was polite.
If these are the only things you want, I can recommend this hotel.
But I expected something more from it. And this is where I was wrong.
I read the reviews about this hotel and learned that you need to book the dinner and breakfast in advance or you may get nothing. So I tried to do that a few days in advance. I contacted the support (because there are 2 or 3 hotels) and they said the dinner is already included, so I don't need to worry about it. But as for the breakfast, I needed to ask at the hotel. So, I was 100% sure I will have the dinner. And even though I was hungry during the day, I didn't eat when I had chances because I anticipated the tasty dinner.
Also, I know that the "dinner" starts 4PM. I was getting late, so when I came to the railway station, I used a taxi to get to the hotel before 4PM. I had 10-15 minutes in advance when I entered the hotel. When I checked-in I asked about the breakfast and booked it. Then I asked when I can have the dinner. Instead of that, I got a reply that everyone is busy, so there are no available persons to provide the service, so I won't have dinner! I was shocked! It is not that I didn't book in advance, it is not that the dinner is not included, the staff is just busy, so forget about the dinner, and it doesn't matter that you paid for that! If I didn't receive a reply from the support, or if they said the it is too late to book the dinner, or you cannot book it, or at least if the person said I needed to come earlier or book in advance, I would not expect the dinner. But if they don't provide the service that is "included", that I paid for, they deserve -1 star from the ratings! Moreover, I spent money just to come in time and in return I got nothing! If I knew about that, I wouldn't miss the opportunities to eat in other places I wanted. Maybe I wouldn't even leave the previous city the day before. So I never want to visit this hotel again despite the beauty and convenience of its facilities!
After the response about the "dinner" I was given a map of the village and they recommended me to go to a restaurant nearby. But as both hotels are too far from the railway station, the main map doesn't show them. Actually, you can find them on another side of the map, but you need to know where to look. And I definitely couldn't do that in my state. So, I went to the station and saw a restaurant. I got wrong directions several times (because it is actually a beautiful hotel with a restaurant), didn't get the service and just became even more angry and hungry. Yushintei is not responsible for that, of course, but it just shows the consequences of the lack of the service and clear directions. The map should clearly mark the location of the hotel and other places nearby.
Another thing I didn't like about the hotel is that formally, there is Wi-Fi. But the signal is so weak that the device is immediately disconnected if it ever connects. If they didn't have Wifi, I would consider it a digital detoxication in a Japanese village. But they have it, and it doesn't actually work. This is a poor service.
They ask you two months upfront if you want the breakfast and dinner.. So you make a mistake and say yes. Trust me 7-eleven sandwich is a better option.
I am not ready for a smelly fish, and bearly boiled (like 30 sek) egg as soon as I open my eyes.. I knoow, i know japanise stylee.. Its a ryokan you idot, but for extra 120€ (for 2) I should at least get two fired eggs as an option if the japanese food is not my cup of tea, it the least they can do for that much money.
Dinner was ok, I guess.. Had better traditional meals in Japan..
the food is instagramable, not that eatable.. So we are leaving hungry.
P.S. Do not order coffee, it is sour 🥲
You can take bus A directly to the hotel door
Facilities are a bit old
But both dinner and breakfast are kaiseki dishes
Full of color, flavor and taste
Really amazing
It can be said that the entire feature of Youxinting is the meals.
As for the soup house, it's just ordinary
But the meal is really worth it
The hotel would make sense for a much lower price, but for what it is worth, it is an insult.
