Inexpensive accomodations in Kazakhstan

Very nice, solid business center, convenient location.

New building. Large rear parking, but it is not clear how to get to it, there is a barrier. I understood that this is a business center, I was with a beautician who rents several rooms.

The water is a little cold, but there are three sections of the pool: a deep section for ages 12 and up, a medium depth section for ages 6-7 to 10, and a shallow section for toddlers

Excellent recreation area. Clean comfortable pool, green area, helpful managers and waiters. Delicious cuisine. And most importantly - within the city, no need to go far.

Very nice water park, the most important thing is clean !! The staff works well! Cool pools for both kids and adults.

The pool is great, but I don't know about the rooms. But for a pool, it's very clean

I loved this hotel, it’s budget but the rooms are clean and spacious, the shower is fab and it’s in a good location for the town and sea

Second, it is a bit of a tight entrance, hard to get in if you are carrying a suitcase. Then the reception is two floors up. So you should not consider this hotel if you have a hard time with stairs

Very friendly and helpful guesthouse. Altai, Alnura and Danil were always available to answer questions, and they let us keep our bags at the guesthouse and have a shower whilst we waited for the train the next day

We needed a place to stay overnight. We were looking for something cheaper and found Hermes. It wasn't too bad for the price

While service was occasionally slow, these moments didn't ruin our evening. Unfortunately, they don't make alcoholic cocktails. They did make mojitos upon request, for which we're especially grateful

My colleagues and I visited the Hermes Hotel's outdoor cafe. It's a beautiful, quiet, and clean place. We especially loved the lamb with vegetables

I was comfortable and relaxed here, and that goes double after having roughed it for hours in a marshrutka going to and from Türkistan. The only con I can think of: the location is not what you’d call ideal

A great small hotel with good prices. The staff is helpful and polite. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need. Breakfast is simple and doesn't offer much choice, but it's delicious

The pros: friendly, accommodating staff, who can help you even if you know only basic Russian or Kazakh; one of the more comfortable beds you may come across in Kazakhstan; some excellent amenities, including a soft bathrobe of all things; one of the best showers at this price range in Central Asia; beautiful, potentially house-made ceramic artwork that makes the whole place feel especially cozy; and...

That said, it’s only about 150 meters to the nearest bus stop; after some Google translating and/or semaphore, the staff will arrange a taxi for you; and Uber, technically speaking, has a presence in Shymkent, even if said presence is nascent

If you’re staying in Shymkent, you’re probably coming from or going to Tashkent, the national parks, or Türkistan. I can’t think of a better place to go back to or land at than Totem

Big clean rooms. Good price, nice food. Only issue is slightly far from city but that reflects the price. Good stay.

The food was so good ! We had burrata salad which was so so good, mozzarella sticks which were okay, pizza so so good, & greek salad so delicious ! We really want more & more burrata salads and greek salad and pizza ! This is a match made in heaven & it’s so good !

I ordered delivery for guests and was very pleased with the cuisine. The pilaf was excellent, everyone liked it. And the baursaks, what salads! Thanks to them for that! In the future, I will only order from them.

Everything is delicious, large portions. Kazakh dishes here are the best that we have tried in Kazakhstan, in catering establishments. Prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly

Such an excellent, clean and quiet place! We stayed at a deluxe room, which has a spacious living area adjoined to the bedroom. For 12 000 KZT, it was an incredible value. Breakfast included in price.

For the price service and amenities are really good, breakfast is included. They speak in Russian and Kazakh language mostly, our experience is good at least. It's so close to the Mosque ( Meschit)

The polite waiters will help you choose and always make sure your table is clean. As for De Marco, I can say that my friends went there too, and they liked it too. I haven't been myself, so I can't say anything about it

I wasn't at De Marco, but at Prosushi. It's a cozy place to relax in a beautiful setting, eat sushi, and drink herbal tea. The sushi is some of the best in the city

Dance floor, though, is small. Excellent insulation - you can't hear anything from outside. There is a big discount on the second and next hookahs - they cost 2,500 tenge. They work, in my opinion, until 5 am

It's not a bad establishment with potential. Why am I saying potential? If the management reads it, they'll see for themselves that they're getting fewer people. Although the location is good, the interior is also fine
