Hotel Moré in Alcudia

I’ve just returned after 6 nights in this hotel. I stayed at the end of June/start of July 2025, with my teenage son (booked with Tui). General: As mentioned by other reviewers, this is a laid-back hotel in a very quiet area. If you crave hustle and bustle, shops, bars, and organised activities: this is not for you. There was primarily an older clientele at this hotel, with a few young families filtering in as the school holidays kicked in. Services, such as the evening entertainment, are targeted at the older customers. There is a Nordic hotel next door, and they have a wee shop in their reception area. You can get water, soft drinks, alcohol, and sweets there. There are no other shops nearby. You can walk into Alcudia old town in about 15 mins if you are reasonably fit. You can easily go past a supermarket on the way home. We went to Bip Bip, where the drinks and snacks were very affordable. There is a local beach which is perfectly fine but with some rocks under the water. There is a much nicer one about 15 mins walk away: Platja de Sa Font de Sant Joan. There aren’t any facilities there though, so make sure to bring water etc. There is one bar in the area: Red Rum. They serve lunch as well. This is a 3-star hotel and that’s an accurate rating: do not expect 5-star facilities here. Half-board is half-board and not all-inclusive: you’ll need to pay for all drinks at dinner (water is a drink). Some people moaned about this, but it’s standard practice. Food and drink at the bar is a little bit expensive, but that’s common for hotels and here you’re a captive audience more or less – hardly any competition nearby. Positives: The hotel has 2 pools. The aircon works well. The free WiFi is excellent, even at the pool across the road. The reception/bar/lounge area is recently refurbished and really nice. We were unable to upgrade our room when booking, and had a standard twin. I expected a view of bins or a wall, but we actually got a pretty decent sea view with amazing sunsets. The staff work very hard and the place is spotless. Negatives: The pool that allows kids is unusually deep. There is a small fenced-off area for toddlers, but the rest of the pool is seriously deep. Adults can only stand up in a very small section, so throwing a ball around is not very easy, for example. Most rooms have no fridge (I think the junior suites do, but not the other rooms - make sure to check the details of your accommodation). I brought a very small desktop fridge, meant for skincare, and that came in very handy and meant that we could buy cheap drinks in the supermarket and chill them in our room. It even fitted in my Priority bag on the flight operated by RyanAir. The half-board food choice is limited and a bit hit and miss. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have allergies, a fussy eater in your group, or special dietary requirements. Kids might struggle to find anything they like. Labelling of dishes is very basic or comp
