ALEGRIA El Mar in Santa Susanna

Hotel Mercury is the worst hotel. It's count as a 2* not 4* Hotel. When I check in on Saturday night, reception lady she has very bad attitude. That's not the way to welcome your customer. Have some good training how to talk to customers.
Hotel look good from outside but the facilities is zero. Hotel doesn't have there own parking facilities. Room is very doul colour on the wall. Not enough lights in Room. I stayed 6 nights there wasn't any hot water in shower. Bath Tub is narrow. Passage celling was leaking. Wet surface on the Passage.
Breakfast is very little are not enough choices. Sometimes cups are not enough for tea and coffee.
It wasn't very hot in santa susanna to take bath we need hot water it wasn't available. Many times we complained only answer (maintenance problem) Few of our colleagues fall ill. Very disappointed with there facilities.

I will never go this hotel. Very bad experience.

Very poor management, poor room cleaning- even we left money on the bed every day, the staff didn’t even clean floors ( bathroom sink and mirror, was never cleaned. :/ . The toilet door was not able to close . Water from shower not draining properly, all water coming up. The pool outside was full with leaves and dirt, all week long nobody was even scooping them out of the pool.
For breakfast is very small choice , all week the same food, only added one thing like different fruit .
For the lunch and dinner you are not available to get juice or coffee- only water .
Overall the first thing you think when you walk in to the hotel is this is not 4 stars hotel, really there is nothing to give 4 stars.
I would not recommend this hotel . This was the worst experience I ever had, speaking with another people from hotel, they were not happy either.

I come back home last Sunday,
very disappointed, doesn't look like a 4 star hotel,the room and bathroom smelled of mold and damp, very old furniture's, one evening I woke up with a huge cockroach walking on the pillow, I went straight to the reception to complain and was told that it was normal because we were in Spain. Then one of the reception guy comes to my room to spray it with insects spray while I was in the room!!! I booked one 1 week with breakfast and dinner (you have to pay for your drinks at dinner, you get ONLY WATER from machine) food area very dirty, no gloves used (disgusting) unhelpful staff. Very, very disappointed!!!
Never ever come back to this place and NOT recommended !!!! No shuttle bus from Girona airport (€80 taxi) no option to add pictures (I have pictures of the room and cockroach)

Absolutely horrendous. I’ll start with the Bad things. Firstly the workers clearly do not like the English. Secondly, we had an ant infestation and we keep killing the ants but they keep coming in and we don’t have any rubbish or anything but they are just there and it’s getting to the point where it’s annoying. Some good things are the pool. The circle pool is green though so I’d advise you not to go in that one. Also, the lifeguards. Don’t get me wrong I know they are tryna save peoples lives but it’s getting to the point where they are telling people off for the most ridiculous things. For example, I saw a girl jump in the pool normally and the lifeguard told her off for it !! Honestly I wouldn’t reccomend this place if you want ants and, oh god, don’t even get me started on some of the food. It’s that Bad one of the workers told Us to go to another place to eat! Wouldn’t recommend but if you want to come here then be prepared for this!! But overall we have had a good holiday.

We arrived at this hotel to a reception full of police and a very drunk man. The lady on reception was so lovely I think she could tell I was immediately questioning my decision to stay 🤦‍♀️ we got to our room which was bigger than I expected but very dated, the whole room , bathroom and balcony need some serious attention! Our first full day we were really surprised by the breakfast, staff were welcoming and there were so many things to choose from all fresh so I was surprised. ‼️‼️‼️‼️There are parts of this hotel that can only be described as DANGEROUS and a HEALTH HAZARD! I took my son in the pool and we both nearly drowned had my husband not have noticed and jumped in! We were bobbing as we always do, I was unaware of the drop in the pool and how deep it is and we both went under… When I had eventually calmed down I noticed that the life guard ( a very young man) was sat under an umbrella near the entertainment enjoying himself. I was furious and distraught at this point went to the reception and demanded to see the manager. I was hysterical and given the situation think he was abit surprised I explained about the lifeguard and what happened he said he would come out. The lifeguard was still sat under the umbrella, I was furious after being told he was told to sit there where the umbrella was. I think after realising and after I said the pool wasn’t safe he offered to change the lifeguard and I accepted. ⚠️THIS POOL AREA HAS NO LIFEGUARD STATION, POOR SIGNS TO SHOW HOW DEEP THE POOL ACTUALLY IS AND ONE RESCUE RING ON THE FLOOR BEHIND A PLANT POT! ⚠️ I really feel that this needs to be improved we witnessed 2 other incidents at the pool where someone went under in the 4 days we were there. I have to say after the incident the manager was very visible, he come to ask how things were, checked myself and my son were ok. The staff here are all very pleasant but are let down by the state of this hotel! The entertainment was terrible and we actually went to other hotels on a night time! I hope anyone considering staying here with children looks through the reviews and I really hope the Hotel make some VERY important safety improvements to keep up to standards

⭐️ 1 Star – The Worst 4-Star Hotel I’ve Ever Stayed In

This was by far the worst 4-star hotel I’ve ever been to. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting — dirty and clearly not cleaned properly before my arrival on a Friday. I immediately asked for it to be cleaned, and they said someone would come, but no one ever showed up.

The room itself felt extremely cheap, not at all what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. Even the hair dryer didn’t work. I had planned to stay until Monday, but the conditions were so bad I left a day early on Sunday — I simply couldn’t take it anymore.

When I asked for a refund for the night I didn’t stay, they refused. Instead, they offered me a ridiculous “compensation” of one euro to cover the booking tax. That felt like an insult, and of course I refused.

Avoid this place. It’s a complete disappointment and nowhere near the standards it claims to have.

Terrible hotel. Nothing like on the website. The hotel place is in need of renovation, rooms are shabby, paper thin walls can hear everything from all the other rooms, the ‘ gym ‘ had wires hanging down holes in the ceiling, dust everywhere. Unusable. Kids room the same. Pool the best part. Would not recommend we are trying to book somewhere else instead of stay here. Awful
