We had a lovely stay. Was greeted by a friendly receptionist, check-in was fast and efficient. We arrived early and was grateful to be able to have our key straight away as we were only staying 3 nights. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was vast with a wide choice to cater for everyone. All the staff were very nice. Great, central location. It is up a slight bank, which may not suit if you have mobility issues. Would highly recommend.

We spent a week here in August with our 9 year old son. The hotel is quite nice. Very close to beach and not too far from shops. Room.was a little small for 3 of us, but it was cleaned daily and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was pretty good, plenty to choose from. Nice pool area, although small so it was sometimes difficult to find a free sun lounger. People did stick towels on them for hours which is very annoying. Nice bar just inside door by pool. There is a bit of a hill up to the hotel but it didn't bother us at all. A bit of noise from the surrounding hotels at night.
There is a small gym which was OK but could do with some free weights as not much variety in there. Also an indoor pool but it was too warm in that area.
Would return.

We had looked at a number of hotels. And chose this one. We stayed 9th to 13th October We are glad we did. Couldn't fault it at all. The rooms were lovely and even more lovely with the sea view. The food in the restaurant was perfect. Extra special with the chef who cooks to.order. The best omelet and pancakes. The location is spot on only a few mins walk to the beach down hill. Reception staff and other staff were all lovely and couldn't of been more attentive. The lady who does the entertainment and thigs through the day was out standing. We really did have an amazing time. We will be back. My home smells lovely with the diffuser we brought from Reception. Thank you again we had a lovely time. Mel Jade Lucy xxxx

We stayed at the Acqua in September 2024 and decided to return in September 2025, so really that shows what we think of it. This year was as good as last.
The hotel is relatively small and quiet; ideal for couples, rather than children.
Our room was plenty large enough with comfortable twin beds, pushed together, efficient air conditioning and a decent balcony. There was a kettle and a safe, although the latter is charged for, if required, at check-in. There was a television, but the British channels are limited to BBC1 & 4 and ITV1 & 2.
The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, with complimentary shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer etc. Towels were changed, and the room thoroughly cleaned, every day. The housekeeper on the 4th floor, Sandra, was extremely friendly and very good.
As last year, we stayed on a half board basis.
The restaurant got quite busy at times during breakfast, but the staff are quick to get you seated. The breakfast selection is very good and constantly refreshed - the usual buffet offering of everything you might want, plus a manned griddle for fresh fried eggs, omelettes etc. There’s still only two domestic toasters, though, so there’s sometimes a queue for toast!
Dinner was quieter - a good selection of dishes, which changed each night, with the griddle for steaks, burgers, fish and the like. One minor niggle is that the labelling of the dishes is a bit hit and miss, so you don’t always know what is what.
All the staff in the restaurant and bar are genuinely friendly, with special mention to Mayara, Paula and Jesus, and we felt really welcome.
All areas are kept scrupulously clean, there’s always a maintenance guy on site if you have any problems in the room, and reception is efficient and responsive.
We find it hard to fault the hotel. It’s quiet, comfortable and friendly, fairly close to the beach and main tourist areas, albeit up a bit of a hill, and we look forward to returning for a third time.

Me and my partner are just finishing our 2 week stay here after a weeks visit in June. The hotel is as immaculate as it was on our first stay. The staff are all amazing. They are always smiling and happy to help. The food is very good with varied choices and there is a chef who does show cooking at each meal time. If you take the time to speak to them they will engage with you. We didn't spend much time in the hotel throughout the day, but on the occasions we did, there is entertainment around the pool like darts, and other games and the girl who does the entertainment puts every effort in to make sure everyone has a good time. The hotel is surrounded by bigger hotels, but to be honest the noise from them wasn't that bad. After 10/10.30pm the nosie dies down anyway. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and we will return again next year.

This is a great little hotel located close to the beach and main ***** in Salou. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The is down to the staff who are brilliant. From the reception to the restaurant and bar staff and, in particular, Kira, who runs the entertainment. They are so friendly and always ready for a chat. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. We stayed half board with 2 hungry teenage boys, and it was perfect for us with loads of options. (You can also swap your dinner for lunch option) We spent most days at the beach, and you have 2 beach options within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. When we did go to the pool, we always found a bed or a seat. Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel and will return in the future.

Just back from a trip to salou staying at the Golden Acqua Hotel. Me and my partner really enjoyed staying here, we usually like to try to stay at the H10 Med Village in Cap Salou but it was way outwith our budget this year especially during August. We got a good deal on the Golden Acqua and we're worried we were going to be constantly comparing the two experiences. I will be honest and say that the two shortcomings are the pool size and lounger availability, in the Med Village there are loungers and a hot tub arrangement on the roof which ensures most guests can access at least a lounger. There were times at the Acqua when it felt as though you had to hover for a lounger but people were decent enough to remove their towels when they did not intend to return. Other than that, we thought the following were very good: breakfasts were great and definitely worth stretching to include in your package, the array of food items: pastries, yogurt, hot/ cold meats and vegetables, cereals, fresh to order crepes and omelettes all really fantastic. Spa facilities accessible from morning to night was great, they have a sauna an underground pool and gym no one makes use of. Pool area cleanliness is great, everything is tidied and cleaned fastidiously every day. Air conditioning is continuous and not charged, just remember to close or lock your balcony door to activate. Each room has a good sized balcony with at least two chairs and a small table, the only thing missing is a drying rack but the balcony is slatted so towels and shirts or shorts can be hung from them with caution. (Also bear in mind that there can be some noise during the day from a nearby hotel Santa Monica which likes Spanish music and is a family hotel, but very lively). Things I consider outstanding: The work and effort put into the jobs each member of staff is doing. The foyer, lounge, bar, and eating areas are always clean and tidy. The staff are never too busy to help you, whether they are the kitchen staff making omelettes on request, waiting staff restocking or resetting a table, or bar staff serving you drinks and going the extra mile with free sweets and nuts or crisps (I have never had free snacks like that so it's a big plus). The towels and toilet roll are restocked and checked every day, and the room cleaned over and made up fresh every single day. I have never had such continuously strong room servicing. And finally the entertainment coordinator (Kira/Ciara I think their name is, apologies if it's wrong I didn't catch it directly) has the energy and enthusiasm unmatched by any entertainment team I have encountered. It appears as if this woman has boundless reserves of positivity and time for the hotel guests. Every day in the morning at the pool side engaging guests in aerobics, poolside games, quizzes, and then conducting the entertainment in the evening, hosting singers, performers, and then pub quizzes, bingo, and music nights. This lady left me very impressed wi

This is a hotel we've stayed at since 2022 every year (except 2023 as we went to tenerife) and if I was writing this in 2022, it would've been 5 stars, but each year, the food gets worse, especially this year. Sausages, could you tell me what shape sausages are? If you said cylindrical, you'd be correct, other than here, guess the shape. If you said Hexagonal Prism, you'd be right! Tea disappointed last year, so we didn't even attempt tea. Want a nice tea? Then go to the place opposite. The food is the only thing that lets the hotel down, there is zero sunbed camping, really nice rooms and nice staff. Recommend the bar food at 9-3pm, if only the tea was like it. Overall good hotel. Very calm.

Stayed here in Jul 25 on first impressions the rooms are a little dated but very clean standard rooms are quite small we did upgrade to a front facing room which was a lot more comfortable. The pool area is lovely and clean unfortunately people leaving towels out and hogging beds was a bit of an issue unless you got up early. Breakfast was lovely and fresh every morning and staff were very attentive. We did have a medical episode while staying there and I must thank the staff for all their help and compassion overall the staff throughout our stay were incredibly helpful and pleasant, must give Kiera a mention she's a absolute gem .

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were unbelievably friendly not to mention extremely helpful. The staff made this hotel a standout for me. The hotel itself was excellent too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
