I stayed at Ari Resort during the week of March 20th, 2026, specifically in the PARADIES apartment. It is incredibly spacious, with three bedrooms, a large living room, and beautiful views of the Matterhorn and the slopes. Judith, the host, has it equipped with absolutely everything: a variety of teas, coffee, sugar, salt, and spices. All of the furniture feels practically brand new, as do the pots, pans, and glasses.

The resort is literally just steps away from the MATTERHORN EXPRESS gondola and the rental shop — truly an unbeatable location in Zermatt for anyone looking for excellence in a ski vacation.

We requested daily housekeeping (available at an additional cost), which was very convenient. There is also a laundry facility available at a very low cost for small loads of clothing.

Without hesitation, I would give it a 100/100.

My only note is that we traveled with young children who took ski lessons with ZERMATTERS, and their lessons started from Gornergrat. This meant we had to take them by taxi every day, which cost 30 CHF each way, for a total of 60 CHF per day just for transportation. If you are traveling with small children and staying in this apartment, I would recommend not using ski schools, but instead hiring private instructors, since ski schools are generally based on the other side of the mountain for most of the day. I would absolutely prioritize staying at Ari Resort and simply finding another way for the children to take lessons.

Excellent stay in an outstanding location, would highly recommend staying here, particularly if proximity to the lift is important.

The standout feature is the location: situated right next to the Matterhorn Express cable car station, it offers exceptionally convenient access to the mountain. You really can’t ask for better access.

The accommodation itself is of a high standard: spacious, comfortable, and with a great view of the Matterhorn (although the cable car station in front does take away just a touch from the overall aesthetic, but that is the price one pays for access 😉).

What stood out most was the level of thought given to the overall guest experience. The kitchen is well-equipped, with essentials such as sugar and oil already provided — a small but very welcome detail. There is also a morning bread delivery service, as well as an optional grocery shopping service (both for an additional fee). The range of optional services is quite extensive; as Judith (manager) mentioned during the stay, many requests can often be accommodated.

One small area for improvement would be the additional charges for minor items, such as bin bags. While the intention to encourage waste reduction is understandable, at this price point it feels slightly unnecessary and comes across as sligthly petty rather than impactful.

Nonetheless a very enjoyable stay, and would certainly recommend staying there.

We had a wonderful skiing trip in Zermatt in January 2026. Ari Resort provided us with a luxurious setting in the Paradies apartment with all the necessary services.

The gondola to Furi is located about 50 m away on foot, and you can use it to get to and ski all the slopes in Zermatt and Cervinia.

After a day of skiing, it was nice to go and relax in the Ari Resort's spa area with a sauna and a hot tub.

The mornings started with fresh rolls and croissants delivered to the property.

The kitchen is excellently equipped, allowing for all the cooking. We often cooked our own food.

Everything worked well, the service was good, the setting was wonderful, I can only recommend this place.

The apartment was even better than the photos! Nice view of the Matterhorn, exceptionally clean and everything was new. We were in the Aloied apartment which had 3 bedrooms with closets, a work area and 3 bathrooms. We enjoyed the spa one evening (be sure to book directly so that it is included) and found the manager to be very helpful. It was on the doorstep of the ski lift and ski rental area as well as a taxi depot, and a quick walk into the main part of town.

close to the lift (no rush in the morning for the kids ski school, which is right where!!!), clean, you do not need to bring with you things like garbage bags, toilet paper, salt/sugar/spices/oil, dishwasher tabs, kitchen towels etc. - everything is there and included. unobstructed view of Matterhorn. there is washing machine somewhere in the building available (which is good, but we did not use it).

Very poor service for mediocre quality, not a 5 star destination. Washer and tumbler cost an additional CHF 10 and are only available when the manager is on site, ie only mornings during weekdays. The place accepts dogs and there was a dog barking nonstop during the day, when its owner was out skiing. When we moved in, the apartment smelled really bad of garbage, trash not taken out. The manager made us feel that we were the problem, not the smell. Several pieces of furniture and equipment were broken. No USB chargers. Overall the place has aged and has not been maintained to the 5 star standard claimed. Disappointing experience. Will not be coming back and do not recommend it.
