Location: surrounded by coconut palms and tropical garden, 10 km from the airport, the beach area of Chaweng Noi, 1 km from the centre of Chaweng beach, on the hill.

Consists of three 3-storey buildings and fifty four 1-storey cottages.

Total area: 23000 m2.

The hotel has 172 rooms.

Beach: private sandy beach on-site public beach in 20 m from the hotel, the first coastal line. Umbrellas, chairs, towels – free of charge.

We had a wonderful stay here and would happily return. The entire area is absolutely stunning – surrounded by lush forest with birds singing from early morning, it feels peaceful and very close to nature.

For the first three nights, we stayed in a beachfront bungalow. The interior was lovely and comfortable, and being so close to the sea was a great experience. However, privacy was a bit limited as people frequently walked by and there were no trees or bushes separating the bungalow from the path. The terrace also tended to get sandy and covered with leaves due to the wind, and it was difficult to dry clothes or towels outside since the drying rack was quite small and the wind was strong.

For the remaining five nights, we moved to a deluxe room in the apartment building. The room was slightly older in style, but it offered much more privacy, including a more comfortable balcony space. The walls are a bit thin, but overall we felt more relaxed in this part of the property.

Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The natural surroundings and atmosphere made it a special experience, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The pool next to the gym is magnificent. Having breakfast overlooking the sea is pure bliss. This was our second stay, and it's just as enjoyable as the first time.

Not recommended at all. For this price you can find much better and more luxurious hotels. The rooms are indeed large but old and a little smelly. The staff is kind but that doesn't make up for the tasteless food and the distance from good restaurants.
We definitely won't be back here.

Just arrived yesterday and will be here for a few nights. Our room is located by a canal and when it’s low tide you’ll know it before you see it, the smell is quite overwhelming.

The reviews I read said that the resort has seen better days and I believe this to be true, but they are still making an effort with loads of staff on at all times. It just seems like certain pockets of the resort seem to be neglected that’s all with stuff laying around and what not but it’s still a stunning location and you feel like you’re in a manicured jungle and I think they do a great job to make this mountainous haven feel magical.

Our shower didn’t drain last night and today but we had someone come to check it and hopefully it’s fixed now. They also brought us an oil burner because the smell of the canal was super strong when we arrived but once the tide went up it was fine.

The aircon pumps, works well and the breakfast was delicious with loads of staff working.

Before I arrived I had been targeted 4 times on WhatsApp about my booking, the message knew my name, reservation details and that I booked on booking.com and they obviously had my number. They claimed I had to click some link to pay my booking or whatever, I messaged booking.com and the hotel about it feeing pretty insecure that my details had been leaked but both parties didn’t really have much to say about it except don’t click the link. It’s the first time this has happened on a booking.com booking so it felt like an inside leak to me which made me feel weird about coming here.

Overall the staff are lovely, it’s definitely seen better days but they are doing their best to make it still feel like an oasis (the gardens are gorgeous), for the price I’d expect a bit more maintenance but it’s Samui prices I’m sure.

The location was great! Service is also very nice.

Kim, one of the senior servers in the restaurant is amazing. Very kind and helped us with some trouble we were facing during our trip. He’s going above and beyond for his guests!

The room on the other hand had quite some issues. There were ants in the room and first the hotel offered for us to do our laundry but wanted to charge us €121 for it upon check out !!! They said it’s 50% discount so actually laundry was €242 for 5 small bags of laundry. This felt very unfair. We didn’t have to pay in the end when we explained what had happened. We also had a leaking airconditioning, which was fixed within an hour.

Swimming pool was very nice and so is the food in the restaurant. They could do with some music on the beach in the evening when the live band stops playing.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at the Fairhouse, the rooms are a generous size, the pools are great and nice that there is an adults pool and a children’s pool with slides, the location on the beach is also tranquil and perfect and the food and happy hours fantastic. Special thanks to Khun Kim and Khun Bee to going out of their way to make our holiday and my birthday special, already look forward to coming again next year, Karp!

The resort was nice enough if you’re on a budget. The hotel itself is quite long vertically so our family villa was far from the beach and there was a bit of a trek down stairs to get down to the beach but they do have a little shuttle you can call if you don’t want to go down a bunch of stairs. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The breakfast buffet was ok. They had a great fire show Saturday night on the beach and we reserved a table for that at the hotel restaurant by the beach. The beach in front of the hotel was a bit coarse on the feet so best to wear water shoes. The sand was yellow hence why it’s called Yellow Beach. This is Chaweng Noi so a bit different than Chaweng. Just be aware but if you don’t care about the quality of the sand, I think anyone would be happy with this hotel.

This hotel complex seems old and a bit tired- but aren’t we all. My room wasn’t as clean as I’d like, with hairs from previous guests still being visible around the bath and on one of the towels.
I had a very comfortable stay here nonetheless- the beds are big, the water is hot, and the setting is well thought out and beautiful. The staff at the front desk were lovely, very friendly and informative.

Our deluxe bungalow was about the size of a hotel room. I was expecting a bigger room. Breakfast was very good. We had a late check-in despite arriving early and the hotel refused our request for a late check-out.

Where can I start… the worst experience ever!!!! They gave me a three-bed family room even though I asked them to change rooms as it was just me, but “we are fully booked.” I am not sure if I paid for a cheap room on trip.com that they couldn’t offer a decent room; even if that meant paying extra, I would have done it. I’m on holiday and want and need comfort, but again, “we’re fully booked,” and people were still checking in after me. The bathroom was like a dungeon, with no ventilation whatsoever, and the room smelled like mold. The gym was old but functional-ish. At some point, they ran out of towels, and I called the reception to ask for clean towels as people were working out, but no ONE CAME. I booked five nights and never slept in that room, not even once. On the last day, I GOT FOOD POISONING from eating their buffet breakfast, and when I tried to nap in that ugly room, there was an awful smell like sewage, and I ended up THROWING UP!!!.
Last but not least, I tried to shower once, and there were two blackouts. I was stuck in the dark in that bathroom dungeon, and that was it for me. I checked out one day before. I am not coming back, and I would not recommend it.

Pros: beach access.
