Perfect for families with children. You don't even need to leave the hotel – just unwind and relax. It's a truly carefree, all-inclusive stay. Thumbs up, indeed!

While Phuket itself can feel quite dirty, run-down, and chaotic, like a disordered small town, the hotel itself is a complete vacation paradise, offering ultimate relaxation.

The activities were great, the scenery was beautiful, and the people were lovely. It was also convenient for me to walk to Patong.

Overall, the hotel experience was good. The pools in buildings 1, 2, and 3 are interconnected. The kids' pool is located between buildings 1 and 2, while the adult pool with a swim-up bar is between buildings 2 and 3. (Building 4 is suitable for those who prefer quiet.) You can walk or swim through the connecting arches between buildings 1, 2, and 3, so don't overthink which building to stay in. The kids' club was quite fun and the children really enjoyed it. There were also plenty of other play structures for kids.

We tried several restaurants and the service was consistently good; staff were very friendly, always smiling and greeting us. If you can't book the Thai restaurant via the app, try calling. The pizza at the Italian restaurant was delicious, and the beachfront restaurant had the best ambiance and service.

The pool's happy hour from 4-6 PM is definitely worth checking out for a drink.

A standard family-friendly hotel. Even though the Christmas prices were outrageous, it mostly met this mom's need to relax while traveling with kids. We didn't leave the hotel for two days and the kids were never bored, playing until they instantly fell asleep every night.

The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms were clean and hygienic, and the hotel's restaurant and facilities were all excellent. The only downside is the average location; even with the shuttle bus, it takes over 20 minutes to get to Patong Beach, and Karon Beach is even further. If you choose this hotel, you can temporarily set aside other plans and just enjoy your stay.

This hotel is perfect for a vacation! The private beach is excellent for snorkeling; I saw even more fish species there than on the island hopping tour. The dining options are extensive, and I highly recommend the all-inclusive package, which lets you eat and drink from 11 AM onwards. The kids' club also offers childcare, and the staff are incredibly patient with the little ones, even if they don't speak English. There's a fantastic array of activities for both children and adults. If you walk two minutes to the right from the hotel entrance, you'll find a pharmacy and a convenience store that pretty much cover all your basic needs. There's also a laundry service nearby that's more affordable than the hotel's. I definitely need to come back and stay longer next time; it's the kind of hotel you want to make your second home.

A good stay overall — great staff, solid facilities, but nothing truly exceptional.

Service across the resort is consistently friendly and attentive. The team is warm, welcoming, and especially kind with children, which made our stay with our baby noticeably easier. Staff interactions were a clear highlight.

The resort itself is large, well-maintained and comfortable, with multiple pools, plenty of space and generally pleasant common areas. Rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and housekeeping was reliable throughout our stay. The location is quiet and nicely removed from the busier parts of Phuket, which makes it feel relaxing — but also means there’s not much in walking distance besides a handful of restaurants. For almost everything you need a taxi.

Food and beverage are where the value feels a bit uneven. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality doesn’t always match: Thai dishes across the resort’s restaurants were mostly average, and for better Thai food we often preferred to go outside. Breakfast is fine but not memorable; the salad and vegetable options could be fresher and more appealing. One recurring frustration: there is no good espresso machine anywhere on the property, so for a decent coffee we had to leave the resort every time. For a property of this category, that feels like an oversight.

Overall, everything was good enough but nothing stood out as exceptional — which is fine if you’re here for a relaxing and family-friendly resort experience, but worth knowing if you’re expecting top-tier dining or strong value for money. We enjoyed our stay, but would explore other options next time.

We had an incredible stay at the Marriott Phuket Merlin Beach. Our swim-out room was absolutely amazing — the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we especially loved the day bed on our patio, where we spent many afternoons napping and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.

The staff and amenities were fantastic from start to finish. The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone we met went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

A very special thank you to Ice, whose compassion and understanding during a family issue meant more to me than he knows. His assistance was truly appreciated. And a big thank you as well to Dew, who greeted us with such warmth every day — he is the sweetest young man and always made us feel welcome.

Great Hotel. We were two families, and we all had a great time. The level of service was top notch - all workers did extra to help in anything needed. the kid's club is a bit small but out of all the hotels we have been to it was the most active with many activities for children opening early in the morning until late in the evening. the pool is great and big enough for everyone. the grounds our lovely and you are a taxi ride close enough for things outside the hotel. really recommended.
The only issue which is true for all the hotels we stayed in Thailand is that there is no baby mattress for babies uner the age of 1 years old. this baffles me as babies can suffocate sleeping on extra an extra soft mattress - but a least they did the effort to fix the situation and provided us with an extra mattress to put on the floor which was ok - but this is true for all top hotels we stayed in.
