Regent Beijing was my choice, a hidden gem of a luxury hotel in the city center. It's incredibly convenient, right next to the Dengshikou Station exit on Line 5, where you can spot the hotel's side entrance sign. It's also very close to Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8, making it super easy to get to popular spots like Wangfujing, the Bird's Nest, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Xidan Joy City, and THE BOX. This stay added such a gentle and healing touch to my Mayday concert trip!
As a Trip.com Diamond member and IHG Platinum member, I was pleasantly surprised by the member benefits. They upgraded me to an executive room for free, which offered fantastic views and an elegant, spacious interior. Although it's an older hotel, and some of the soft furnishings show their age, the comfortable details more than made up for it. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, with eight types of pillows to choose from. All the toiletries were enriched with Vitamin E, perfect for Beijing's dry climate, instantly curing my travel fatigue. The front desk even thoughtfully provided complimentary breakfast!
The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, with a full array of Chinese and Western dishes. There was a live noodle station, exquisite desserts, fresh fruits and vegetables, and a variety of drinks. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors authentic; every bite showed true quality. A hearty breakfast in the morning truly boosts your happiness for the entire day.
A special shout-out to Cindy at the front desk for her consistently gentle and meticulous service. She even added me on WeChat, responding to my needs promptly, and gave me a farewell gift before I left. These little details truly highlight the luxury service standards. Location: I was most satisfied with its proximity to Dengshikou subway station – it's incredibly close (in my opinion, for a capital city with lots of traffic control and often no parking near attractions, taking the subway is the most convenient way to get anywhere). The hotel is also very close to Wangfujing, so if you have enough time, you can walk there for a city walk, which is quite enjoyable.
Facilities and Hygiene: As an established luxury hotel, even if some of the in-room facilities are a bit old and the room isn't as large or spacious as I expected, it doesn't detract from the overall excellent experience. The breakfast quality is superb, and the Italian food at Decanter is authentic and delicious. The hotel lobby is luxurious and stylish.
Service: The front desk service was warm and friendly.

My husband and I stayed in Regent Beijing in mid May 2026 for 4 nights. We had a wonderful stay. The service was excellent across all areas—from customer service, front desk to housekeeping. The staff were consistently professional, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience truly enjoyable.
A special thanks to the housekeeping team: they found my ring, which I hadn’t realized I had left in the washroom, during their cleaning. It was returned to me thoughtfully placed in a beautiful jewellery display box. I truly appreciated their honesty, care, and attention to detail.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would gladly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service.

The room size was just right, and it truly upheld the quality expected of an established five-star hotel. Many small details were perfectly executed, like the soft, clean, and waterproof mats in front of the sink and toilet. The turndown service was also excellent. Breakfast was varied and featured authentic Beijing specialties; a staff member greeted us at the entrance, guided us to our table, and explained where everything was. They were also very proactive in refilling our coffee, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. Oh, and one more thing: the hotel is right above Metro Line 5, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, and you can even walk to Wangfujing and Dongdan.

The hotel's location is excellent and convenient for transportation, and the concierge and front desk staff provided great in-person service, which is commendable. However, the online WeChat service from the Regent guest services team was extremely disappointing and disheartening.
1. **Severely delayed service response times.**
Upon check-in on the evening of May 2nd, the front desk advised adding the guest services WeChat for convenient communication during my stay. Yet, the friend request wasn't approved until midday on May 4th (my third day of stay). I checked in on May 2nd and checked out on May 5th 😂, so the supposed online communication channel was essentially non-existent during my stay.
2. **Conflicting and insincere replies regarding a lost item.**
On the night of check-in, May 2nd, I discovered large stains on the duvet cover. I only requested a replacement duvet cover, showing understanding for the hotel staff working during the May Day holiday, and didn't ask for any extra compensation or apology. I was empathetic, but on the evening after checking out on May 5th, I realized I had left a limited-edition hair tie, purchased in Beihuan, at the hotel. I immediately contacted the guest services WeChat team for help in locating it. While the item itself wasn't expensive, it held significant sentimental value for me. However, I received completely contradictory replies:
1) Initially, they claimed: "There was only a white piece of clothing." After I pressed further, they replied, "The room has already been cleaned and new guests have checked in. We didn't see it during cleaning."
2) When I inquired again the next day (I suspected it might have been rolled up with the bedding into the linen room, or was on the floor by the bed), I was told: "Your room was not scheduled for housekeeping after you checked out yesterday."
These conflicting statements show a complete lack of genuine effort to help find my item. I can accept it if it can't be found, but I cannot accept such perfunctory responses. Don't tell me about "compensating for the bedding issue during this stay... and hoping for your next visit..." when this current request hasn't even been met. This kind of service experience is truly disappointing and nothing to rave about.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from Wangfujing Street and very close to the subway station. It's right in the heart of Beijing, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, the rooms are spotless, and the staff are warm and polite. I'll definitely choose the Regent again next time I'm in Beijing!

Great location with convenient transportation. Plenty of established local eateries nearby. The hotel facilities are well-maintained despite its age. The mini-bar is complimentary, and the service is excellent. The restaurant offerings are all good, especially the Italian restaurant on the second floor, which is fantastic.

The location and surroundings are excellent. Directly opposite the hotel is the Bianyifang Roast Duck restaurant, and it's also very close to the hutongs for a stroll. Getting to the South Station only takes about half an hour... We stayed in a city view room, which offered a distant glimpse of the Forbidden City and Beihai Park. The service was great!

I've stayed at many InterContinental properties, but this was my first time at a Regent, and it was a fantastic experience. It perfectly blends an old-world, understated luxury with Eastern charm and Western light luxury. Located in Beijing's bustling Wangfujing area, where many established luxury hotels show their age a bit, the Regent stands out with its modern exterior, looking remarkably 'fresh' next to neighbors like the Peninsula and Waldorf Astoria, which you can see from your room.
Transportation is convenient, right next to Dengshikou subway station on Line 5. Just a heads-up, Exit C doesn't have an escalator. Despite being in a busy area, traffic wasn't bad, and most popular attractions are easily accessible by subway. It's quite close to the Forbidden City, which explains why I saw foreign tour groups staying here. The price-to-value ratio, even during holidays, is excellent.
The room layout is straightforward and spacious, with no awkward angles, making it feel very open and never cramped. While it lacks superfluous, winding designs, the attention to detail and artistic touches are exceptional. I particularly loved the toiletries – they have a lovely, subtle woody scent.
Breakfast: Offers Beijing specialties like Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles), local desserts, and stewed offal. The Chinese selection also includes some Cantonese dim sum, and there's a wider variety of Western options. The whole wheat croissants were delicious and guilt-free.
Gym and Swimming Pool: Located on the 5th floor, open until 10 PM. There's a wide range of equipment, and I was impressed by the availability of disinfectant spray, a thoughtful detail that ensures user hygiene.
Overall, my stay was excellent. I've already recommended it to friends, whether they're visiting Beijing for leisure or business, this place is definitely a top choice.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Wangfujing commercial area, and the subway entrance is right downstairs. The hotel staff are exceptionally polite and proactive in offering help. Plus, Lai Garden (restaurant) is also delicious.
