Where to stay in Frankfurt am Main

Attention, Frankfurt visitors! If you want a hotel with very friendly staff, a comfortable room with minibar and coffee, and breakfast included, for half the price of a hotel in Frankfurt city center, then take the S-Bahn for a quarter of an hour to Offenbach Markt and stay at the Hotel Karl.

The owner is really kind and helpful, made me feel very comfortable! The hotel is next to the train so it was easy to go to frankfurt, and the breakfast was really big (I only had coffee because I was in a hurry). The room was big and very comfortable, there was boiler to make your own coffee/tea and I loved the window + the bathroom was big and clean!

Location is perfect with only 1 minute walk from the Marktplatz S-Bahn station. There is Rewe supermarket which is normally open until 11:30PM. The staff is super nice and friendly. A Home away from Home-very near to the Train Station- In a Five Star Hotel lots of walking after a tired day will be an issue. But this place is a very cosy place .

Basic hotel, the room was clean and in reasonable repair. The staff are helpful but nobody doing anything exceptional. Breakfast was good. Biggest problem was the noise. I could hear plumbing, other people's TVs and the noise from outside was very loud a 7AM. There isn't much in the way of eating options, the small restaurant next door was ok for a couple of evenings, be aware, its cash only.

It's basically an apartment-style single room. The front desk is located underground and the front desk is shared, so it's a bit difficult to find. The hotel is located in an industrial area with almost no surrounding supporting facilities, so daily necessities need to be prepared in advance.

The hotel's location was fine; it was quiet. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't available at the hotel. Room cleaning was poor. There was hair in the bathroom upon check-in. The bed wasn't made once in five days. Towels that were placed in the bathtub for changing weren't replaced, but hung on the edge. The only thing room service did was empty the trash can.

The hotel is worth the price. You can't expect more than that. I found the noise level disturbing, but the rest was OK.

It is run by Indians and the conditions and environment are Indian style. The residents are also mainly Indians. The breakfast is not rich and not as good as other surrounding hotels. Accommodation was tight in time for the exhibition, and I had no other choice but to choose it as a last resort.

The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood, at 5 min walk from a S-bahn station. The room was tidy and it was cleaned every day. Also, the breakfast was quite diverse. Overall, a hotel with good value for money.

The hotel was great, just not close to the Frankfurt train station as indicated by my online search. But easy to reach Hbf via the S3, S4, or S5. The balcony was an added plus.

Better than it looks An older hotel in good condition. For the price it has what it should have. A plus was that there was underfloor heating throughout the room and it was nice and warm all over.

The room was large, but the location was a bit far.

There was an announcement that the front desk would close at 11 PM, but when I returned at 10:40 AM it was already closed and I couldn't get into my room because I didn't have a room key. A local visitor happened to help me out and I was able to get the key, but I guess it's too much to ask for friendly service considering the lack of guidance.

1) It’s not easy to open the door. Not only I but also other guests have a same trouble because of old key locks. 2) The elevator doesn’t work properly, so I have to walk  stairs.

Old hotel but bedroom and bathroom is renovated, not bad. Wifi is very bad and frequently out of service. The area around the hotel is shady, noisy, chaotic, and feels unsafe with beggars, drunkards, petty fights and random shouting/yelling.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything that I needed. Very quiet area with beautiful parks (Palmengarten is spectacular). Lots of young people because of the proximity to the university. We stayed at a suite room with one couple and a friend. The couple used a separated bedroom with a full bathroom, and the other used a sofa bed and a half bath. We were comfy and enjoyed the area.

The neigbourhood isn't the best you can stay, but once you are inside the hotel is fine. Rooms are spacious and clean. The service is very friendly, doors are open 24/7, it's near to the station, city centre and Frankfurter Messe. Only stayed for one night so didn't really utilize any of the services they might offer. On that note though they did allow me to check-in when I showed up. No waiting for a set check-in time. Room was clean. Pillow was a bit thin. Checked out the kitchen and it looked alright. In a really great location, just a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Price for a dorm bunk was reasonable.

Place was nice for what you pay, some staff were rude but it may just be a bad system. They kept saying on the system I did not pay for my room which I did on here or when I was checking out the city tax which in fact I did but it was probably just a system issue. We stayed three nights, room was clean, everything was great for the price. Location was good. The only negative point was the single bed for the third person, which was not in good condition and was not comfortable at all, tbh it was not a bed! It would have been great if there was an electric kettle and a pair of slippers for the toilet in the room.

Room was clean and on large size. Could not get heat control to move, seemed stuck so waking up was a bit chilly but fine once moving but shower was refreshing after. Not terrible. I arrived too late to go out, so I do not know how situated as far as how close to things.

Ok it’s essentially a bed and bath is extremely close proximity. There is no frills going on here. You will not have a Keurig and you will have no privacy in the bathroom. It is however perfect if you have a 12 hour layover and so t want to sleep in a plastic chair. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Perfect for what it is and very easy process.
