Wonderful boutique hotel! It did not only feel like living in a gallery, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very pretty (we stayed in the reading room) and each room was designed in a unique way! Very clean too and located very central and everything was at walking distance! A tip, book directly with them, if anything, it is much easier for them to make it work for you! Thank you 18Arts hotel for your kindness and helpfulness, worth to return for a next stay in Cologne!

Boutique Hotel operated with a moderate and professional standard, unique rooms yet very special ! Not for anybody’s time but cool for a stay

Room was good. Bed was hard and low to the ground. No closet or dresser. Had clothes everywhere by the end. You must have an iPhone or better to access the main door and your room door. No key cards or keys. No elevator which was ok except carrying luggage up 5 flights of stairs and that long walk up the stairs coming home at night. The staff was friendly and was able to check in 3 hrs early which was a great benefit. Did not receive the bottle of wine or an upgrade for gold level. Judge this as you may but the room and bathroom is separated only by a see thru glass wall. So make sure you and your roommate is comfortable pooping and showering in the open. Window looks out over a courtyard. The entire wall/window was floor to ceiling levered vertical blinds that didn’t work very well.

No elevator and no support in getting the luggage in the bedroom (4 floors building). No breakfast room (they have an agreement with another hotel outsid- 200m down the street), the room was cold. Very good position within city center.

Great stay at the 18Arts Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The shower was hot, the bed was firm. I would not recommend this hotel for those with limited mobility as there is no lift.

A unique, delightful hotel. Room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Loved all the small extras in the room. Didn't have breakfast, but very close to many restaurants.

Fabulous location walking distance from Hauptbahnhof. Easy access to hotel and room using wireless entry system sent to mobile phone. Located on a lively ‘party’ street opposite an Irish pub and various clubs/restaurants. That said, our room was quiet. Bed was comfortable, a tv and radio (only worked on first night though) and hot drink facilities. Decor was original and pleasant. Stayed in Room13 which was almost an en-suite room, more open plan than en-suite! There was no door separating the ‘facilities’ from the bedroom. My partner and I are pretty close, having known one another for over 50 years, however defaecating within spitting distance from each other was a new experience, one neither of us needs or wishes to repeat anytime soon. Perhaps some sort of sliding door would be a welcome addition or a free supply of gas marks and ear plugs!

Staff is very kind and pleasant, made us feel welcome.
The rooms were very interesting but to be honest the 'tatort' room was rather boring. All white walls and dysfunctional furniture which was most useful for hitting your head and shins on. We would've liked airconditioning as it was really hot at night but the fan was fine. The bathroom was very pretty and we liked the showers a lot.

My friend and I stayed here, separate rooms, and both had a great stay. The staff was all friendly and helpful. I do not speak German but the staff was happy to chat in English and Spanish. The location was great and easy to get around. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Perfect and quirky
Had a wonderful stay at 18Arts this weekend.

Fantastic cocept, lovely room and a comfortable bed.
Radio playing chilled music on entry to our room.

Not an issue for us but there is no step free access at this hotel.
