Sea Breeze Hotel in Hersonissos

Lovely small hotel but with very spacious and spotless rooms. Rooftop breakfast bar area was a sunny spot with a great sea view. The only issue is lack of parking- some advice with the check in information would be helpful as we arrived after dark and were uncertain where to go.

Lovely boutique hotel with modern loft style rooms and large bathrooms. Walk in shower and small balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful. Stunning rooftop dining room/ bar with sea views. Fantastic breakfast. Once a week a private chef prepares a 4 course Cretan meal for only €19! Lovely food, great choices and served impeccably. Easy walk into town.

Staff were great, and sent all the information we needed for our stay prior to check-in. They still ensured we had all the info we needed on arrival. All our interactions with the staff were positive throughout. I felt welcome and comfortable. We chose a sea-view room, and the views were lovely. Despite overlooking the road/pavement as well as the sea, this didn’t impact too much, as you’re slightly outside of the hustle and bustle (but just a few minutes’ walk into it!). You need a code to access out of hours, so that added to the feeling of safety. We paid for a late check-out due to a night flight and very high temperatures that day, and we weren’t pressured to check-out at any set time. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the air con was amazing. But the TV was at the back of the room overlooking the single bed, which meant we couldn’t use it. The bathroom wasn’t quite as nice, and there was a bit of a stench coming from it. The sink is in the bedroom, right behind the bed meaning that any late night or early morning post-toilet hand wash was right at my head and woke me. They do offer a free drink if you hold off on a room clean (wasn’t applicable to our shorter stay) which I thought was a great idea, but I would have struggled to not have the bathroom cleaned for 3 days+. The hotel was super clean, bright, welcoming. Rooftop bar was lovely – but no-one was utilising it. So, if that’s your thing, you can enjoy some peace and quiet up there. And a very nice toastie for just 3 euros! There’s also a sun terrace on the 3rd floor. That’s the limit to the facilities, but it’s a small place and guess that’s part of the charm if you’re not looking for a resort.

My husband and I just stayed at this hotel for 5 days on our honeymoon and loved it! The hotel was so excited for us to stay with them for our special occasion and provided us with a suite upgrade, free drinks and snacks, as well as a lovely note congratulating us on our marriage!

The suite was stunning and large in size, with 2 twin beds and a large bed for us to sleep on overlooking the ocean with a balcony. The room was air conditioned and had a steamy, hot shower, which was nice after a day of diving or snorkeling.

The breakfast was located on the roof and had many options for everyone that was interested! The feta was fresh, the eggs were delicious and the orange juice was great to wake up with.

The front desk was great at calling us a cab when we wanted to visit Heraklion and were helpful in anything else that we needed.

This hotel should receive the highest rating, as it ensures that all of its guests are comfortable and enjoying their time.

Very friendly staff, well appointed room, interesting décor, free drinks for skipping room cleaning. Aptly named, right by the sea with crashing waves and gentle breeze, away from the noisier areas, but only 5 minutes from nice restaurants & bars. Really thoughtful scrolling advice screens in reception and 'Sky Bar'/breakfast room. Great communication with pre-arrival email and text. Booked as 3-day stay as part of Secret Escapes road trip.

It was a great stay. The staff are very friendly and professional and willing to help with many different things.

I was very surprised that they offered Yoga classes upon request, so I enjoyed 3 classes by Katja out in the Crete Ocean Breeze. It was heavenly!

If we visit Crete again, we will also be visiting SeaBreeze!

Nice (and not too big) hotel just by the sea - only separated by the pavement. Big and comfortable room with sea view and balcony to enjoy it. Expect to hear the waves constantly, if you wish silence. No noise when the balcony door is closed. In good distance from the party area(s). A/C x 2 inside. Good shower. Friendly staff.

Very comfortable room -- actually 2 rooms with bathroom facilities between. Had a water view which was nice. Very rough seas while we were there so quite dramatic. Wonderful breakfast buffet on the rooftop dining area, Something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the Greek Yoghurt and fruit, nuts etc. and the pastries. The DOT staff at the desk was also very helpful in arranging a couple of day tours and again printed the bus schedule for trips we took on our own.
