One of the best all round hotels I’ve ever stayed in for relaxation. Staff were amazingly friendly and tentative. Requested late check out because of later flight and was duly approved. Food and drinks amazing value

The hotel was absolutely superb, we were there for a 3 night stay at the end of a weeks villa holiday and it was perfect. Rooms were massive, food was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful

She provided us with excellent recommendations for local spots that were off the beaten path, just as we had requested. Her suggestions made our experience truly special

Absolutely incredible; best hotel ever. The people are amazing, location super relaxing, friendliest human beings ever.

The only thing that we could complain about was the pool area - the pool itself is stunning and overlooks the golf course BUT there are too few loungers and too few towels!!! So we arrived on one occasion to nowhere to sit and nothing to dry ourselves with - not ideal, one family with little children were all sat on one lounger! The pool area is not manned in any way so once the towels are gone they...

Very nice hotel, good location and an excellent coffee wirh the breakfast! The only downside is that the room doors did not have soft closers and a lot of the guests sadly slammed them so it was had to sleep past 7

Guest rooms were clean and exactly what they promised, the pool side breakfast and pool area was wonderful and quiet. The meeting space was perfect and the location was so convenient, we could walk everywhere

The staff really stood out- they were incredibly helpful with arranging taxis and even coordinated a medical appointment for me, explaining how the process worked. That level of care made a big difference

I had a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect- you can walk to many areas, and I only needed a taxi to and from the airport. The rooms were impressively quiet; I never heard my neighbors once

She has been a wonderful host during our entire stay and we appreciated very much her advices & tips about the region. There are a few very good places to eat within walking distance, including a taverna with fresh fish

We had a great time at the terrace on the beach, where you can have very good breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks and drinks all day, You need a car to go to the nearest supermarket and shops

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home – and that was largely thanks to our amazing host, Nikos. Nikos went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable

Excellent hotel with an excellent location in the west part of Crete, very quiet and near a lovely beach. It is modern, very clean, comfortable and very pretty as well. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Armela

A shared pool is available if you prefer to relax away from the seaside. The property is starting to show its age and would benefit from some light renovations, ideally done soon to prevent future issues

What a superb place to stay, right from the start we received a lovely welcome from Aramela who quickly sent us her what’s app address and sent links to recommendations of restaurants, supermarkets and beaches that were so useful

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Food is delicious, especially desserts :) eating evening time at beach restaurant is sooo romantic :) 100% I recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel but poorly designed bathroom in our apartment. Pool was ice-cold (we went last week of the season though). Other than that, beautiful stay!

Overall a nice hotel. Breakfast is not included, which would be nice. Rooms are a little worn, but with nice facilities. Nice location next to the beach and a couple of stores and restaurants.

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

The rooms were also nice, with small kitchens equipped with everything you need for making food. The location was perfectly placed next to a shopping and dining street with all conceivable options available close by

We didn't try other hotels, but we imagine this being one of the best in the area

It was our best holiday yet! Food is well cooked and you can find a lot of options. The staff is helpful and they do the best to please you and help you. Rooms are cleaned everyday and they do a good job

In front of hotel is sandy beach with enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all the guests. Food in the restaurant is tasty and with very good variety

The food was delicious, lots of choice, we were especially pleased with the large selection of local dishes and fresh fruit. The wonderful path to the beach along the palm trees stole our hearts, a beautiful wide beach

Great hotel! My husband and I stayed from April 28th to May 5th and had a very nice time. All the employees were very nice and smiling, they always offered help and advice (especially the reception staff and waiters)

The experience was trully relaxing. The staff was very friendly, all the waiters were smiling all the time even off work. The food was great, and we've always had at least 1 favourite dish as part of each serving

The hotel is amazing! The staff are fantastic! We loved kostas, Debbie, Christina and Petro! The beach that the hotel is situated on is fantastic! The sunsets are amazing! The food is nice! I would recommend!

There are critical reviews of this hotel out there but they say more about the writer than the hotel. Yes it is 850 metres from the beach but that information is clearly stated. The price reflects that as well

The hotel itself has a nice big swimming pool and children’s pool. The pool bar has a good selection of meals/snacks and drinks and unlike another reviewer we had no issues with the music. Teddy Swims, Lewis Capaldi etc

We have been to this hotel eight times and once again we had a wonderful time. The hotel is a small family run hotel. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff they are warm welcoming and friendly

There is a very good choice of food ,swimming pool is lovely with an excellent view. We will be returning next year

What a beautiful resort and what a nice people. Especially Didi she is very friendly always joyful. She represent a very nice wellness. Also the staff in the wellness is very professional

The furnishings are modern and very clean. There are loungers available for each room on the beach. The two restaurants are well run and the food is delicious and varied

Additionally, Didi's professional approach in arranging a suitable time and space for our session was commendable. We highly recommend their services

The rooms are good, with nice airconditioning, a nice view and a spacious bathroom. The staff is very helpfull, exept the restaurant personnel. The food is mediocre at best. Quite far from the beach.

Water in the pools is filtered all the time and the guys playing the music know their businesses. Chillout after lunch and live music after dinner. Very kind and smiling you the guests

Staff is extremely helpful and willing to make your state a nice experience. Food varies and also Greek specialities are prepared. Amazing views from the rooms and swimming pool

Room service good our room spotless though bed spread slightly old and but thread pulled , would go back again only downside was the road noise as the hotel is situated between 2 main roads one out back near to our room and the main road with buses and coaches frequently passing, but fabulous value for money for what we paid

Good AC, good Wifi, hot water in the shower, receptionist brought us extra pillows even though housekeeping were gone for the day. Breakfast and dinner buffet included in room price

Just back after a wonderful week , Hotel lived up to the expectations judging from previous reviews, the all inclusive was very good

Good location, Very helpful staff especially housekeeping. Food ok though local restaurants give a more traditional Greek cuisine. Shower curtain needs a design change however

My son and I stayed here for 4 nights. When we arrived we were shown our room, but there was an issue with the door. We reported it to reception and the maintenance chap came straight away

We had a medium fridge, good enough to keep some food to eat in the room and few bottles of water. They even have an electric stove, one frying pan and medium saucepan, but we never used

An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.

Breakfast: fresh food and quite limited options. They usually alternate a bit the options on 2 days rotation. So, overall was a good hotel to stay in

Maybe they can work on small bits, especially because they said they're a 4* hotel: water in the rooms (on arrival and maybe during the stay), a bit more breakfast options, more diverse TV channels, coffee machines upgrades

Beds were very comfortable and quite large. Service: staff and management were very nice and attentive. Maybe 2-3 bottles with water in the room on arrival will be nice for a 4* hotel. Pool: spacious enough and clean

Great outdoor pool, clean and neat, friendly staff. Food is very good, with Maxim restaurant at the street level and has a very nice terrace

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

This Restaurant has been update since my last visit and food is very good and reasonably priced. Recommend the Calamari

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. Fantastic service with all the staff being friendly and helpful. Pool was really clean and nice. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and specialty the beach

We appreciate very much that we had early check in because we arrived very early in the morning and were very tired. Breakfast was good and the food at the restaurant was excellent

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

However, once you locate it and go upstairs, the rooms are completely modern and beautiful. The delightful breakfasts are served on the second floor and the staff are all helpful and charming

Despite these various inconveniences, Scala de Faro is one of the nicest boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is fabulous, as you can walk to most of the places you will want to visit in Chania

Be aware that it is located in the middle of the main walkway along the port (although the entrance is on the street behind the port) and can be a little difficult to find

Staff was English speaker which was really good, they were very friendly

Scala de Faro is a small, historic boutique hotel in Chania, Crete

Because it is fairly small and is in a very old building, you will have to walk a flight of stairs to get to the rooms and the small elevator (although there is accommodation for the handicapped)

The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too

One of the best experiences! I loved the Greek hospitality and the family owned feeling. The staff is lovely and at your service for whatever you might need at any time of the day

You are able to rent out cars and explore the area more. The breakfast was the same every day however there was a good choice - toast, cereal, egg, bacon, beans and pastries

Lunch was ok there was always pasta, meat, potatoes, salad and bread. The dinner choice is the same as the lunch however the desserts were ok. The rooms were fine and had everything which was needed in them

My room was cleaned every day and I was given new towels every two days. The staff at the hotel are very nice and it was explained to us that new management have recently just taken over and they are making changes

Pool and pool area was great! Almost always a sum chair available and the pool itself worked great for all ages, toddlers, young adults and adults. Service was great! Lots of personnel who were always kind and helpful

I stayed here for one week at the end of September, the weather was amazing a lot hotter than what I thought it would be. We stayed all inclusive which was great

Had everything you'd want and with good quality. Dinner is very good with a four course menu every night (one starter, one main course, one pasta and a dessert). All served in small appetizing portions

It is relatively well located with a couple of beach areas within a 10/15 minute walk. The local main beach is very narrow and I think it's a charge of €10 per couple of sun beds

The staff all seem happy and dedicated. A couple of minor issues were swiftly resolved. Children were using both pools which wasn't best when you want to relax, but they were respectful kids and didn't make lots of noise

I was surprised to find that the jacuzzi and small sauna aren't included in the price - €20 euros for 20 minutes to use them is rather steep, I think this is rather a wasted benefit to customers, it would be much better to incorporate a booking system and allow free access for these facilities

There were plenty of sun beds and seating options. The room service and poolside service is very reasonable and food and drinks were great. The pools are rather cold, but make for great breaks from the heat of the sun

But, it's a nice atmosphere, plenty of eateries and shops. The sea was clear and even in October fine for swimming and snorkeling. You can walk along the top of the rocks to a viewpoint at the end

Pool and beach area very nicely done, comfortable sun loungers. Few local taverns that were good if you don’t fancy the walk into town. We needed a relaxing break and everything was very easygoing

Lunch and dinner menue also very good. We also tried the spa and the massage was exellent. We are looking forward to visit the Iperion Beach Hotel again sooner or later

The bar isnt the best for children because billy is very nice but swears alot and sometimes a bit too friendly but otherwise this is a lovely place. Pool is bigger down than across but its not a big issue

Coming 3 yrs now and would recommend without a doubt. Three brothers Michael , Billy and George are always there to help if you need anything just ask. Rooms are cleaned daily ,bedding ,towels every 2nd day

when getting there it was extremely hot in the room and we had to get ac. The ac was low standard which is why we decided to bring fans with us. Maids and staff are very friendly

On arrival we were offered one free drink each and we chilled out by the bar. Rooms are very clean,however the showers are not very powerful and there is hardly room to move

The staff was extremely friendly. I can't give less than 5 stars. The apartment was clean and cozy, comfortable beds, great view and ambience. Easy access to restaurants, supermarkets and the beach

The staff cannot do too much for their guests. Stavros found me a walking stick to use on my trip to Knossos as my knees at the age of 73 can be a little weak. The food was very good but it’s the staff who are unbeatable

Wonderful location, 2 minutes to the beach. Excellent services and competent staffs. Food was delicious as well, and cats will stare at you when you eat. Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant along the beach front think it was called Mythos the one with blue table cloths at the side of pizza oven. Trips land train ok to blue lagoon but not worth the money. Local buses excellent service

Not in a really good area as nothing much along the seafront. Beach not fab stones and shingle with a tiny bit of sand. Jet2 needs to update description. Food not really good , poor choice and lukewarm

Desserts same every mealtime just different colours and often still partially frozen. Other guests said food was a lot better than the previous years. Not sure why you would repeat visit if food not good

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It should have 5*. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling, they are so careful to your needs. The cleanliness is top notch and the rooms are beautiful

Very clean and tidy business hotel, the hotel is located in the city center, a 10-minute walk to the old town and the port to shoot sunset and sunrise. A very good hotel to stay near Ganya, worth recommending
