The staff were extremely friendly and made you feel like family and were very hospitable

We had an issue with our shower and when I told the person at the front desk, she was on the phone to have it fixed before I walked away (it was fixed very quicky). Excellent hotel in a great part of town

This is an excellent 3* hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. The bedding towels changed everyday. The rooms are perfect ,clean and Greek. The food was very good and something for everyone

The location couldn't be any better, 1 min marina beach and excellent walks around the peninsula from Marina to the port and lake this way is a flat surface to walk it

The hotel staff are one big family and brilliant, the room staff really work hard to keep everyone happy, restaurant staff very attentive and quick tockear and clean, 24 hkur reception very experienced, I even experienced Greek dancing with the manager

Nowhere to get changed in the hotel after you had checked out of the room. No umbrellas for the sun beds out by the pool. Our balcony overlooked a derelict building and not a city view as the booking suggested

Going down to the toilets in the bar area was dangerous as the last step was broken and covered with a towel/blanket. Also the floor was continuously covered with water

The hotel is nice, new renovated and lies beside the sea, where the view is amazing. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your balcony. The breakfast is good, the bar is fairly priced

Supermarket across the street but do not picture real supermarket, it is just a small store. Good coffee is served from the vending machine during the whole day. Cold food in the fridge when we arrived at night

Fridge in the room which is good for cooling down bought bottled water. Food can be eaten under the umbrellas with the view at the sea

I wish the hotel management will take care and keep the hotel as nice as it is today. Simple design, but with some art decorations. Nice pool area and reasonable sea entrance. Close to restaurant, shops or car rentals

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern

Er is één mevrouw bij de receptie die zelfs Nederlands spreekt. Our room (nummer 217, 😊) is well sized with private balcony, airco and jacuzzi. It is all kept clean daily, including making the beds door twee lieve dames

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

If you need anything special there is a small shop on the territory of the hotel or you can go into the town 10 mins, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, including Lidl

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

The pool is very clean and nice, the only downside is that it is still accepted that antisocial people reserve beds with their towels. Those towels should be thrown in the pool

Breakfast was also very good with lots of options and fresh food

The rooms were clean and well maintained, providing all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, I was happy with my experience and would recommend this hotel for its good value

Nice hotel, clean and a good breakfast. Website is not up to date, the balcony I was shown held a plastic and no room for much else. Also there is no rooftop patio which is noted on the site

The lady at reception isn't particularly good at interacting with the public. Overall, a slightly dated hotel with a spectacular location and a good price

What a lovely stay in Crete! This hotel is gorgeous and spotless. The Breakfast Buffet was outstanding, and every staff member I encountered during my 3-day stay was smiling and helpful

It was an easy walk from the port (I arrived with SeaJets), and the public bus to the Palace of Knossos was waiting for me right below the hotel the next day

Everything is modern in the room. Breakfast is good, but could be crowded and at these moments serving dishes are empty. Not enough staff to serve, clean, and prepare tables. We were there at the end of the season

Cannot imagine how they are operating in the season. Beach is nice but the water is shallow and you need to walk for a good 5 min to be able to go deep in the water. Beach chairs are very low and not really comfortable

Area is turisty, there are a lot of good restaurants, a bus is operating on the main street and will bring you to the nearest small cities

The restaurants near the hotel had a huge variety of different foods & they were all great. However, none of that would stop me coming back to this little gem of a hotel, situated right on the beach in Agia Marina

it was on the ground floor, no steps or stairs. We had a room with disability access. Neither of us have great mobility. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels every day too

The indoor pool in the basement was small and cramped. Many places to eat or shop in close proximity, although most of the restaurants along the beach were similar in menu. Decent availability for trip pickups nearby

Cleaning time was also wildly inconsistent, anytime between 12pm-5pm, making it hard if you just want a few hours inside without being disturbed. The pools were exactly as pictured, and was cleaned regularly

The room itself was fine, bigger than what I originally ordered, but mostly empty and had no indoor table, only a sofa that wasn't great to sit on. Rest of the room was fine, as expected

Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Some bread, half cold eggs and bacons, a bit of fruit, yogurt, and cakes. It would be more appropriate for an average 3 star hotel, not 4 stars

Staff were very nice and helpful throughout, from booking airport transport, any room issues etc

Cleaning was lacking, seemed like they only gave the floor a quick wipe and changed bedding

The reception with their capability, local knowledge and willingness to help out a guest family in a tight spot is the gold standard of good service. Some say hospitality is an art, if so, they are a staff of artists

The breakfast was basic: scrambled eggs, small local sausages, delicious ham, vegetables, and cheese. The cappuccino was a bit sweet, and the juices were packaged

It's easy to get to the hotel from the airport by bus, just three stops away, so after long flights, it was important to get to the hotel quickly

Exceptional service out of this world. We landed from the airport at 1 in the morning, they were so easy and wonderful to work with

Conclusion: The price is too high for the shortcomings, and it's also not a good choice for us because we like to explore different countries on our travels, and there's nothing at the Astrom that has a Greek character

Needed a hotel in Ierapetra to stay at whilst I dealt with a family bereavement here, so glad I chose this one, only minutes away from town centre and bus station and metres from the promenade and the many beachfront cafes

Our go-to hotel for stays in Chania; well maintained hotel with comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast service with eggs etc cooked to order as well as an excellent cold buffet selection.

And the onsite restaurant offers some of the best homemade dolmades we’ve ever had. Next time we will try the made-to-order galaktobouriko. An added bonus is their onsite parking. I highly recommend this hotel

The Hotel Porto Veneziano is by far one of the best locations for Chania. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was amazing. Perfect for a glass of wine and the view in the evening

Spectacular location — close to everything with excellent service! The only downsides were that the room was very small (barely enough space for two medium-sized suitcases) and that the à la carte breakfast was charged separately, with prices not listed on the menu

Always an awesome stay! This is our go-to hotel in Chania. The rooms are quiet and spotless. The staff from the front desk to dining room to housekeeping are always professional and friendly

It is easy walking distance to interesting areas of this beautiful town. The staff goes over and above to please the visitors. Friendly bar tender and the included breakfast was delicious

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I was instantly greeted with a warm welcome by one of the ladies at reception who was very accommodating

Check in took 5 mins and I was shown to my room straight away to leave my suitcase after which I was shown the main areas (breakfast area and the pool)

I had a great stay in Petra Hotel, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is next to the pool where you also have a nice view

Rooms are well worth the price and the best part is proximity to the fabulous Plakias beach. Just a short walk. Town is within walking distance and many grocery markets and restaurants.

Our room was clean, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The pool area was lovely and the beach just a short walk away

The only thing we missed was some evening entertainment – we couldn’t find an entertainment team or any organized activities during our stay

The only downside I noticed was the lack of entertainment. Unlike some nearby hotels that offered live music, poolside zumba, and other fun activities, Plakias Resort didn’t have an entertainment team or organized events

The beach nearby is beautiful, and the beach bar is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view with a drink in hand. Everything felt peaceful and easygoing, ideal for a relaxing holiday

He was very polite and very friendly! They have very good breakfast, it is located close to the center however the big shout out goes to the housekeeping team as the rooms and the common areas are extremely clean

The hotel had a great pool, gym and sumptuous healthy breakfast served by Elena. Elena also runs an excellent wine bar just 10 mins from the hotel with her husband
