Just walked in by accident cause i was actually looking for a hotel in the old town... and stayed for a week May 15-22 , 2024 on the top floor/ penthouse if you will. Magnificent 270 degree view from the top terrace overlooking the old harbor/city/bay & mountains. As i sat in the middle of the three rooms looking around with the view on the mediterranean sea i was imagining where to put my secretaire bookcase and other furniture...! Got to meet both the Koutsoudakis sisters (Owners of the Hotel) on one lovely evening, who i understand today that they sadly both passed away this week. They gave me the little booklet of the Hotel and the impressive story of their lives from early childhood on.. If you look for a historical place to stay this is it!

We had a wonderful stay at Doma Hotel! Waking up to the sea view every morning was such a peaceful experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were unbelievably sweet – truly the highlight of our stay. Every day they helped us find taxis without hesitation, always with a smile. The breakfast was also lovely, and the ladies working there were especially kind and warm.
The location is also perfect – just a beautiful 10-minute walk along the seaside takes you right into the center of Chania.
We’re so grateful to everyone at the hotel – thank you for making our trip to Crete even more special!

Gorgeous boutique hotel that offers a bit of Cretan history and stunning views.

The hosts and staff are very accommodating, and can help book taxis or one-day trips. The room had both a fan and air conditioning (convenient considering the summer temps), room service and cleaning was very thorough.

LOVED Doma Hotel. Beautiful antique vibe. Perfect location, just steps away from the beach and a 15 min walk to old town. Delicious buffet breakfast. Nicest staff ever - I had a misunderstanding when booking a standard room, I hadn’t realized that some of the rooms are two twin beds while others are one double bed and it’s luck of the draw when you check in which bed setup you will get. I explained my confusion and asked if there was any way they could move my husband and I to a room with one bed. They went above and beyond to accommodate us by upgrading our room. Stellar customer service!!!

I stayed five days in the Doma Hotel in Chania. The hotel is a historical building that is well located and it offers absolutely stunning views. It is just ten minutes walk from the city center or from the marine.

Moreover, the people that work here made my stay memorable and very pleasant. The staff supported me with all my necessary bookings, plans. I felt I was staying with my local friends that would go to the moon and back to make your stay fantastic. Thank you so much!

I stayed only one night at this hotel, but it was a great experience. The hotel oozes local ambience, history and culture. Breakfast is served in a wonderful spacious room with a vast view of the bay area and mountains further away, and the selection of food and drink is excellent, including freshly pressed orange juice, specially served to you. The personel is very kind and you quickly sense that they want you to feel comfortable. Ask them for recommendations, I'm sure you'll be spoiled with choice. They would help you with transport to the airport, extra coffee, and what not.
I was fortunate to get a room facing the garden (and not the street in front of the hotel, which is a bit busy). It was very clean and cozy. If you want to spend some days in a minor hotel with lots of atmosphere a bit away from the most touristic places, I highly recommend choosing this one. Thank you!

Stylish, sophisticated and cultured hotel in the beautiful town of Chania with all its old Venetian charm . Rarely do you get staff these days who care so much about their guests . This place is exceptional with a beautiful garden , clean comfortable rooms and a fine library . Doma has a history , find out if you go there.

We stayed at this charming old world style hotel for three nights. The a/c worked great, breakfast was delicious and the views are spectacular. Also, every employee we met went above and beyond to help us and offer first class service. I loved Chania but I believe staying at the Doma had a lot to do with it.

Very beautiful and historical building like a museum. Very friendly and caring staff who also speak very good english. Breakfast was awesome and a great start to the morning with good offered hours. Great location for an across the street beach visit or short walk to old town and the old docks

This hotel is very charming and on the edge comfy and breakfasts are excellent. It is not suitable for people wanting a beach holiday however. There is a bus that takes you to the Akrotiri Peninsula and it is about 25 mins to walk right round the harbour to bars and restaurants and shops. There is a supermarket nearby and the excellent new museum is in walking distance. Very nice friendly and helpful staff.

Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!

A very decent hotel within walking distance from the old town (and it's super close to the archeological museum). The interior looks classy and comfy at the same time. My room was very clean and there was a nice welcome gift waiting for me (loukoumi with some local raki). Breakfast was ok smorgasbord style with a rather standard selection of cereals, cold cuts and cheese.

This is a beautiful hotel immaculately clean. The staff were lovely from the reception staff to the cleaner to breakfast staff.
The breakfast was good. The room had a balcony and it was a nice size.
The only complaint for me was there was no coffee, just tea in the room and no ceramic cups they were plastic and I could taste the plastic every time I used them, also no classes for water or wine which is unusual.
The road is very noisy from morning till late at night but didn't bother us too much .
On the whole a very nice hotel

Great hotel!! Friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous sea side views and perfect pen balconies to feel the sea breeze. The street below is very busy and a bit noisy, but the balcony door must be soundproofed because we still slept peacefully, despite the Olympiakos victory on our second to last night here!!! Woo!

We stayed here for a week and the service was lovely from all the staff - the reception staff were always very helpful and the bar/kitchen staff again were friendly and helpful. The room itself was lovely, great bed, nice bathroom, all very clean and high standards. Breakfast was good (vegans had to ask for a milk alternative, but it was available). The one very minor negative was the car parking - but don't let that put you of staying. The hotel is very well located, with easy walking distance to lovely beaches or into the old town for evenings out. Our room even had a sea view!
