My husband and I had a great time staying at the Balsamico suites. From the people, to the service, to the rooms, all amazing! The family who run the hotel are so welcoming and make you feel like you’re at home

Maria, Manos and Stellar were all fabulous and such a big help, nothing was ever a problem. The rooms were super clean, we stayed in a deluxe double room which was enough for us both for 4 nights

The food was exceptional and reasonably priced too. The location of the hotel was great, and literally within a 5/10 min walking distance to the square where you see coffee houses, restaurants and bars

Our stay at Balsamico Traditional Suites was absolutely wonderful! The place is full of authentic Cretan character, beautifully maintained, and very peaceful

Only comments for recommendations I would add is that it would have been nice for clean towels every other day, there wasn’t a real rota for this, 3 days had passed at one point

The pool and sun bed area was pristine, and there was never any battle for getting a space. Overall, for what you pay, and the style of the apartments, I think it’s great value for money and I would return!

And comments on loo roll - if you ask Lena, she will give you some toilet roll. It would be a nice touch for some soap but it’s no big deal, there is a shop that sells stuff like that pretty cheap just down the road

We were worried about some of the previous reviews complaining about paying for air con, but soon noticed this is common across the majority of self-catering apartments in Koutouloufari

It would also be nice to have a “do not disturb” sign for the door, I’d often get woken up by the cleaner against my will, even if it was to shout not to come in

Me and my partner stayed at Ippoliti in September 25. Lena and her family were very welcoming and we felt right at home

There's the sea right in front of the door, but no beach where you can actually lie down. There is a beach a few meters away, but there's little space to lie on a towel, and the sunbeds are paid for (expensive)

The apartments are very clean and spacious, and the amenities, such as the bedding, linens, towels, and kitchen, are impeccable. The location is close to everything and right by the sea

A comfortable room with a kitchen and bathroom overlooking the sea, away from the noise of the town. The rooms have nice balconies, which unfortunately we didn't use because it was cold and raining

I didn't miss any sunrise from there! The rooms were very spacious, beds were very comfy and in that small kitchen you can find everything you need. I was very impressed by the cleanliness

everything was shining with cleanliness. The place is very close to supermarkets, restaurants and 15 min by walk to the Chrysi Ammos Beach (from my opinion is the best beach in the area)

I rented a garden-view apartment for 4 people for 11 days. It's a small, very nice complex with several apartments. They're family-run, and Alexandros and his family are simply lovely

The apartments are excellent, the pool is great and the staff is very nice, especially Nikki (the manager) who gave us great tips about the good beaches in the area as well as about places to visit and good restaurants

The pool is sparkling clean, as are the rooms (big thank you to Ana as well, who made such nice touches for our baby). We have never felt such warmth and hospitality. Thank you for giving us a wonderful stay in Crete!

Great nice place 5 rooms so this is very small hotels quiet and 5 star quality. The host is extremely friendly and will do everything to help and make you happy. Close to the beach, nice view and peaceful location

the kitchen was equipped with all need utensils but no kitchen towels or cooking ingredients such as salt pepper or oil and no breakfast available, but the supermarket was bearby so we were able to get anything needed quickly

this place is 10 out of 10. the rooms are stunning with every amenity. the pool is small nut crystal clear and just big enough to swim around. it's very close to the beach but very quiet woth only 8 suites

The pool was perfect we spent quite some time there, it is not crowded because the hotel has 8 rooms in total so it was perfect and peaceful, and very clean

Clean room, bathroom and balcony. Gorgeous gardens, plenty of parking and fab pool. Bins changed daily, towels and bedding also changed during the week long stay. Virginia is wonderful and works hard to please everyone

+ super nice staff, always very helpful + clean room, towels changed every 2-3 days + kitchenette in the room fully equipped + calm and quiet place - only the rooms nearby the reception have got wifi - far away from the beach (around 25min on foot), no pavements on the way so pedestrians need to be very careful - it’s hard to stay there without a car

However we had a wonderful stay, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves and nothing was too much trouble for the staff

No complaints! Despite it being self-catering I never intended to cook so, apart from needing a few extra cooking utensils and another ring, the kitchenette did the job

When we need help about where to go for food they when over and beyond to give us directions 4. The hostess she is amazing 😻😻 every day give us greetings make us feel like home

About 200m from a beach, very close to restaurants and two supermarkets. Free parking available.

If you looking for value for money you should check this place out. Yes the mattress are old yes the bathroom is old the air conditioning is old. They clean the room every day 2. They clean the swimming pool every day 3

Pros: value for $ Friendly owner Nice sized room for 1-3 people Bathtub Good location- close to supermarket and bus stops Nice paintings and clean Nice balcony Cons: low season so pool and many places closed It took a while to heat up the little stove thing Wifi connection was weak problems with door and bathroom light If i came to Crete again, i would stay here

In our time(late September) most of it was empty so we had the place to ourselves. I love getting free juice/coffee at the morning. The pool is also very nice plus the 'star beach' is ten seconds walk

Rooms are basic but very clean. Only negative would be get rid of the shower curtain and have a show cubicle. Breakfast has everything you need. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Would 100% recommend this hotel

The hot water went off twice, but they fixed quickly. We overlooked the sea and the rooms were super quiet. Never had an issue getting a bed, they had two small pools and both nice

We visited Astra Village this month and were so impressed with this accommodation. Firstly we visited with our 18 month old son and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable

Our room was spotless (Junior Suite) and was kept lovely and tidy throughout the week by the hard working cleaner. The whole resort is immaculate with all areas cleaned daily

We arrived to a spacious travel cot set up in our room with a toddler pillow, and were provided with a high chair at breakfast and one for our room too

The ladies at breakfast and at the bar made the effort to engage him and to bring him his own special bowl

The pool and outdoor area was super! There is no microwave or coffee maker in the apartment, in the bathroom there was just a small showering pan with a handheld sprayer (no curtain) and there was not always hot water

Nice, clean apartments in a great central location. Lots of nice beaches nearby and a short distance from the main town centres and fishing harbours

The location was very convenient, a supermarket within walking distance, the beach was 5 minutes by foot and excursion booth by the supermarket

Nice, pleasant stay Nice hotel with great location. Very positive stay. Though: Cleaning of the pool could be improved and sensors in windows, allowing us to operate the aircon did not work.

Breakfast was tasty and had a good variety, though it was the same every day. The only downsides were the cold water in the pool and the long walk to the promenade and beaches

It is in a beautiful location, has every facility you need but most importantly the staff were sooooo pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with smiling happy faces

This hotel is the best we’ve ever stayed at. My husband and I have just spent 9 days there and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is extremely clean and has very pleasant amenities

This hotel is very good value for the cost… The staff are all amazingly friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean / room serviced everyday with fresh linen/towels. Its more than adequate for 4*

What I didn’t like was that there was no separation between smoking and non-smoking areas — people smoked everywhere: by the sea, by the pool, and even in the pool. Smoking was also allowed in the reception area

I missed having music playing by the pool throughout the day

We recommend this and say look beyond any negative reviews as it lovely!! Theres a lovely jewellery shop inside hotel with the man that makes the jewellery his name is Thanossis and he is lovely, i bought an earring and pendant set handmade that is beautiful!! All in all for the price we recommend this hotel as a lovely stay , relaxing with nice surroundings, beach and bars! Hope to see them again...

I have read bad reviews on the food here and all i can say is you must expect gourmet food at 4* prices- the food is delicious !! Cocktails are nice , again not fancy but you can pay if you want that, all inclusive drinks are adequate and generous served by friendly bar staff The entertainment team are super fun and so friendly

This is our last full day at Serita Beach hotel. We have been here for 9 nights and was here the same last October 2024! After having such a lovely holiday last year we came back with the family and grandchildren
