The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

I am happy and grateful for Dimitris and Dimitra for making me an exception for the coctail without alcohol. The other personnel shift could not make the drink without one ingridient

Children are particularly well looked after by the wide variety of food on offer. The hotel itself and surrounding areas were very clean and well kept

My stay at this hotel was truly amazing! The entire staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always welcoming

It was nice but not a 5* resort as their website suggested. Also the all inclusive is limited bar choices and food. You can only dine at the Italian or Chinese one of the nights during a week long stay.

Amazing view, very nice place! The Hotel has everything for a perfect holiday. Beach access is convenient and staff are wonderful, especially in Italian restaurant. Carbonara was perfect! The rooms are cozy and well kept

It's the second time that I visit this hotel and I love it. The hotel is near to center of Hania and it has private beach with sunbeds. The view was fantastic and the food delicious. The rooms was big and very clean

From a catering point of view, we were all inclusive. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is good but very repetitive

Rooms were spotless, with plenty of storage space. Daily housekeeping was available if needed

The all-inclusive stay included alcoholic drinks and cocktails at the bar, the menu did not include any classic options and the quality was also a bit lacking. However, the staff was helpful and friendly

Firstly, as other reviews state, yes it is a mainly French hotel but they animation team were very inclusive and the guests were all friendly and how hard is it for us English to say bonjour with a smile? The hotel is superb, we didn't pay tourist tax and the safe in the room was included

The WiFi is fantastic and all of the staff were great and help is always available. The food is what you would expect of any all inclusive in Greece but we managed to find something to eat every night

There's always greek style bacon, beans, eggs and toast on a morning and plenty of tea and coffee. The rooms are very clean and cleaned daily apart from a Sunday however, our room got cleaned on the Sunday also

But otherwise, the common pool was nice, deck chairs were available around the pool (some were a bit broken but still usable), the distance to beach was great with free deck chairs available for hotel guests which was wonderful

The hotel had great food, but after 3 days it got a bit repetitive, but the quality was decent. I would prefer bigger seafood selection though. There was a barbecue for dinner, which offered an alternative

We had a room on the 4th floor accross the road from the beach but had a nice sea view. The room was large and we had a fridge, kettle and cooking facilities even though we were all inclusive

We stayed at the iolida beach for a week, there was two adults & a 10 year old! All in all we had a fab break! The hotel is split in two halves connected by a bridge over the main road! Our room needed abit of updating & tlc however it was absolutely spotless as is the rest of the hotel! The pools are clean & well maintained there were no issues with getting sunbeds! Location of hotel is good, 17 euros...

A couple of young girls in the main restaurant were lovely but one always dressed in all black was quite rude at times

The fridge was useful to keep drinks cold. The beds were clean and very comfortable

The food was just acceptable , not always to our taste but they have guests from all over the world so have to cater for all tastes even though some seemed like odd choices. The food wasnt very warm though

The local area did not have any bars open with music or entertainment either so we played yahtzee whilst sat in the bar. There are 2 tvs in the rooms but no English channels so no good for us to watch

Zoe, the restaurant manager, was friendly and chatty as were the bar staff, especially Andreas who soon remembered our drink of choice

He offered us an upgrade on our board which financially didn't really benefit us. We had to accept the situation as we had no choice. 45 and the move to it was smooth

The food was varied and enjoyable, and much hotter once we mentioned how lukewarm it and the plates were to Zoe who rectified the situation by that same evening

The hotel is positioned on the beach and the dining area is just inches from the sand, giving a magnificent view and a tranquil place to eat

Overall the hotel and staff are great and we did enjoy our holiday just a shame about the overbooking which seems to have happened before

The sunrises are spectacular and we were lucky to see a few baby turtles finding their way to the sea early in the morning

The food is first class and truly a great buffet - lots of homemade and homegrown food. The drinks are below average in price with a cocktail being around €11. A good bottle of wine around €20

Also a free A La Carte dinner at Tomatini the on-site restaurant. Also a voucher is handed to you for a free lunch - this is any salad and two main courses for two people - anything you want

Whilst here we were the ONLY English - which made for quiet socialising in the eve as everyone was German. Quiet a few kids , but they were generally well behaved

The village is a brisk 10min walk along the seashore , passing lots of taverners, but well worth the walk. Hire of a car is essential too. We used Anna Cars from Heraklion - no hidden EXTRAS and fab people

There are several pools in the hotel and also private pools in some of the rooms, so there is always an oasis nearby if one wants to cool down

This is one of the best places to locally - if not the best. A great welcome with local iced tea, homemade biscuits and a cool flannel

Beautiful hotel almost on the beach. Very clean rooms, perfect service. We prefer adult friendly hotels, so this hotel is the right match

The staff apart from the rude reception lady were so nice and friendly, Stavros the barman was a top man, he made our stay and evenings, very friendly, a funny guy! Maria was also a lovely lady, kind and helpful, Teddy who ran the animation team did a very good job, from beach activities to evening entertainment including, music nites, kareoke and bingo! The beach is just across a fairly busy toad...

The walk to leapetra is about 10-15 minutes, easy walk, you can cut through to the promenade which is pleasant through to the bars and restaurants

Apparently the balcony room wasn’t on our voucher and is extra which wasn’t stated, anyhow they moved us to a side view room with a balcony, which was much nicer, thats all we wanted

We seriously thought we had made a mistake booking this hotel, we got to receptionist at 9am only to be told the manager wasn’t there until 11am, so we returned

All in all we enjoyed our stay, the staff are lovely (-1) and would recommend if you aren’t too fussy about the smaller things

A very very special hotel, with special staff and very special facilities. The food is exceptional, the drinks options fantastic and the upgrades in report for 2026 are total quality

After two wonderful stays in 2025, we've already booked for 2026. We can't wait to return to this resort. For us, it's one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean (…and we've stayed at many others)

The staff are exceptionally kind, and the security is top-notch. Ostria is so wonderful that we plan to return every year as part of our Mediterranean summer itinerary

A calm location and relaxing atmosphere, spotless through out

The hotel was very well thought out with quiet areas away from the nosier entertainment area along with an adult bar and pool where you could enjoy the surroundings and relax

As a young couple, we sometimes felt we were dismissed or not taken as seriously, which was a shame

I was surprised that the food in the restaurant is tastier than the taverns in the cities. The kids enjoyed playing in the kids pool with slides. There are animations for both children and adults

The hotel facilities are extremely good and all staff friendly and personable. The buffet food was generally reasonable and the al le carte restaurant excellent

Every night when we ate dinner in the all inclusive restaurant we could see while sitting outside that there was staff cleaning the sunbeds and tables by the pool, it always looked good and clean in the moring when we went for breakfast

We really liked that and it made the meals feel more «exlusive» instead of in hotels where you have to go get your drinks on your own at the buffè. The food might be one of the few things we are a bit disapponted with

As compensation, the manager kindly upgraded our all-inclusive package to their best tier, which was a really thoughtful gesture and made a huge difference to the rest of our stay

The most beautiful vacation! The spacious rooms, cleanliness, excellent and varied food, impeccable service, very welcoming staff, location in a quiet area with very nice view to the sea and the mountain

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

We had a good stay! However, you have to pay for the sun loungers at the pool. The staff is very, very friendly, except for the head waiter

Great little find , adults only hotel , rooms are bungalow style, so no noise above or below spotlessly clean , beds very comfortable , all facilities are fantastic , restaurant great selection of food , never went without a meal, there are options of board to to suit everyone, 2 pool areas, they don't have an animation team it is literally a quiet chilled hotel ,the bar in the evening was located...

Fantastic location, nice and close to the beach and the main strip with all the bars and restaurants, also very close to the hills which are great for a nice hike! Loads of cats in and around the hotel, we loved it but some may not like that!

Only one elevator, with the restaurant on the 4th floor, which again was not a problem for myself and my girlfriend but for less able people, could be an issue

Two small/medium sized pools, with plenty of sun beds (for the size of the hotel) but pools are not heated, with how cold they are they may even put ice in them! The rooms are ok, more than good enough for me but some may say they could be a tad cleaner

The food was okay, would have liked a bigger selection of fruit and possibly more variety, but everything I did have tasted nice. Good selection of cocktails at the bar, along with spirits too

We recommend the City High cocktail. Two nights of entertainment I believe, we saw the Greek dancing and it looked fun

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

So, while the hotel facilities are probably worth 3 stars, rather than 4, the location makes up for a lot. If you are looking for a great location, and don’t expect too much luxury, I would recommend this hotel

And the food is where this hotel is really lacking. Over cooked, and if you have food allergies, it's a no-no

The hotel is a city hotel, and shouldn’t be compared with large all inclusive hotels. The facilities are fine, it’s well organised, and pleasantly compact, and very close to a beach and the town centre

Restaurant, bar & reception was modern & clean. 2 minute to beach and close to restaurants, bars, cafes & shops. Beds were comfortable & clean. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Be aware when checking out of the room as they remove your all inclusive band so you have to pay for food and drinks. We was not getting picked up until 9pm

The hotel staff are one big family and brilliant, the room staff really work hard to keep everyone happy, restaurant staff very attentive and quick tockear and clean, 24 hkur reception very experienced, I even experienced Greek dancing with the manager

First the negatives, the single room I was in was clean, but in need of a general update; there was also a safety issue where the gap between the end of the bed and the wall where the TV was fixed, was so narrow that you had to crane your neck to avoid a collision

This is an excellent 3* hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. The bedding towels changed everyday. The rooms are perfect ,clean and Greek. The food was very good and something for everyone

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with a great view of the sea from the balcony

Also thanks to the staff as asked to organise some flowers etc for my wife for our anniversary and really lovely present for a reasonable price on very short notice as well

Also the outdoor pools were really cold its nice that there is an heated pool indor but would have been nice if the outside one was heated

Probably the food was the weak point it wasn't bad or anything but quite limited in choices and most meat like pork and chicken quite dry

My friend and I had an amazing experience at the hotel, the hotel's location is perfect as it’s a quick 10 minute walk to the beach, with easy access to major attractions like little shops and restaurants

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and so were the views. The beds were so comfortable and the staff where fantastic the pool was my favourite part along with the drinks and delicious food

Lovely staff, especially Kiki and the restaurant staff. Location is great - only down the street from the main town. There are some areas that need some attention but you can tell that they are working on it!!!

The rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and tidy , just what you would expect for the star rating. Beautiful grounds and you can see improvements are being made. Massive pool! Almyrida itself has a piece of my heart

Just had the most relaxing week here. We stayed bed & breakfast , there was plenty of choice. I recommend the scrambled egg with feta and also the egg feet ( eggy bread) The staff were all friendly and helpful

The owner of the place is amazing!!! The staff is amazing, knows everyone, takes care of everything, asks and is really interested in whether something is missing and really tries to answer every request - and all with a smile

Our recent stay was truly delightful. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the breakfast buffet offered various delicious options that changed daily. Additionally, there was the option to order food for lunch or dinner

Bassem keeps everything really good organized and has a good overview over the whole dining room area. The Receptionist that was the most helpful was without doupt Samuel always a smile on his lips and in a good mood

He did an awesome job was always friendly and even made a nice sculpture out of towels. In the Italian Reataurant works Muhamed. He was so nice and always offered his services and never forgot us the whole week

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer. It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us

The rooms were very clean and there were a lot of food options at the restaurant, plus the Souvlaki Snack Bar was a real plus. All the staff inside was amazing and very helpful

The beach is 50m away, but it's not the best, it's better to go around 1km to the east to find beach with normal sand. If you have all inclusive option, you will get only the cheapest drinks in the bar

But for dinner, There was only one night that I enjoyed the food. One night, the options looked so grim for dinner that I ended up going out to a restaurant instead. Very limited options, mostly looking unappetising

The food was fresh and the dining area was clean. Our room didn’t have the greatest view, but it was very quiet. We could never hear the people adjacent to or above us. I would definitely stay here again

Off street free parking right in front of the apartment. Area has several restaurants within a few minutes walk and nice beach for swimming/windsurfing. Great communication with management
