Nice hotel in an ideal location in downtown close to the shops in Laugavegur and bus stops. Reception was friendly and were helpful to answering any questions or requests we had during our stay. Rooms were small and basic but good if you're just using it as a place to rest during the night. Be aware that the rooms are not very soundproofed and that you may hear noise from the bar located across the...
Fantastic hotel in a great location, fantastically placed for the bus stops, the shopping in town or the nearby supermarket. Farooq was a great host, incredibly friendly and fantastically knowledgeable on all things Iceland even though he hails from West Yorkshire. We stayed in room 505 so was a bit away from any street noise, highly recommend and would definitely stay again
Second visit to this hotel. It maybe not the fanciest of hotels or the biggest, but the staff, location and cleanliness make this hotel fantastic. Front desk,Rushka and Farooq (who asked me to say he was the handsome guy) are first class. Nothing is too much trouble. Night staff and housekeeping are also great. This hotel does not have a bar but there are plenty nearby, so this for me is not a negative...
The hotel has a good location in the city center. The front desk service was excellent; a Pakistani man there even gave us a map showing us places to visit. The room was very nice and spacious, but the kettle leaked.
The location is great. The front desk staff were very friendly and recommended nearby restaurants. The breakfast was not luxurious, but very delicious. We were able to check in earlier than expected.
Well located. Walls are thin and could be noisy at night.

The hotel is centrally positioned. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. My plans changed and staff were very understanding.
Booked for a short stay with my son.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, answering questions knowledgeably, around where to eat, directions, activities, ordering a taxi and using public transport.
Hotel and room were very clean and in order. For the price it was very good value, and met our requirements. Nothing flashy, but good daylight and everything worked. Room was warm and cosy.

The location was great! All the bus stops are nearby, and there's a supermarket close by too. Highly recommend it.
The hotel is really in the center of the city.
All the staff is so welcoming and helpful.
The room is small, but cleaning is perfect.
Breakfast is simple, but good.
I slept good, but shower pressure is not to good.
I will recommend this hotel 🙂
The hotel is located in the center heart, just next to the rainbow road and surrounded by bars and restaurants.
10-minute walk to the nearest by supermarket, Bonus and very near to the Airport transfer bus stop number 14 and tourist bus stop number 6.
Breakfast is offered to all hotel guests. Just one reminder there are a few steps before you reach the lift of the hotel and the reception is on the...

Reykjavik, Ranargata 4a, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This is a good boutique hotel with rooms that give a quality feel. Excellent shower and balcony that added to my stay after enjoying my adventures in Iceland, I knew I would come back to a warm and clean room. The Breakfast was a great way to start your day. The only tiny issue was a loud door closing in the corridor due to a heavy spring closure. Great staff.
Excellent hotel, great views, and attentive service.
I was looking for an affordable hotel in Iceland, where prices are high, and I ended up here. The room was so small that I had to sleep on the bed, but the bed and linens were comfortable enough to help me relax and recover from my fatigue.
2-night stay
The location is great and the downstairs bar is excellent. The breakfast is good but a bit hit and miss with some items. Coffee is excellent! The basic rooms are very small, so if with two suitcases gets cramped. Staff is lovely.
Good Spot
Clean room and property. The front desk was very helpful and patient with our many questions about the area.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the pier, and the staff are friendly. While there's no parking available, there are paid parking spaces opposite the hotel, and free parking is a 10-minute walk away, but ask the staff. Breakfast is simple, and the seating is limited, but perfect, with no waiting. Children can share a bed at no extra charge.

Our first check-in was quite stressful. We arrived around 3:00 pm but couldn’t get into the hotel because there was no reception and we never received check-in instructions. Luckily, someone who was inside helped us open the door and called the hotel for assistance.
The room itself was nice and clean. However, for travelers without a car, be aware that the hotel is a long walk from most major sightseeing...
Morgenmaden var to go. Køkkenet var ikke fuldt udstyret men fint. Dejligt med cookies og kaffe gratis.
Great location and within walking distance of a lot of stuff!
Only complaint is the room was slightly dirty upon arrival. The housekeeping left behind used cleaning towels, a glove IN the toilet bowl, and the shower had stuff from the previous people left behind.
We did get breakfast down the street through the hotel each morning which was great!
Breakfast was good, maybe the best part of this property. Shower was old and gross. Guest room and breakfast room are very dark. Probably by keeping it dark, they can hide some dirtiness of the property? There’s a reason why it’s super affordable compared to other places around the area.
This is about a 12min walk to the edge of downtown. It is still within a lively area of hotels and restaurants. They have tried to update the interior which is fine, but it is a bit damp and has carpets in the main hallways. Heads-up they do not have a front desk or admin staff on site but they are very responsive through WhatsApp if you have any issues. I had to message them a couple times and they...
Great place if you need a room for the night. This is a 2 star hotel. It is very basic and an afforyolace to stay. The breakfast is awesome though! If you don't have high standards this a good place to stay.

Enjoyed my stay here, it was a good value functional hotel, spotless and warm, and our room was serviced daily. Parking outside made it a good base to explore the golden circle, Vík, etc. with a rental car. The managers are very helpful and friendly. There's coffee in the morning but no breakfast, but the manager recommended a nice bakery nearby with a discount for residents.
Very cute and clean! A lot of parking! The bed was super comfortable which was perfect after arriving late since our flight landed after midnight. Late check-in was possible, although we had a bit of trouble at first getting the code as they did not send it until we called. In the end they were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at Hotel Heidmork for 3 nights and didn't faced any issues. The hotel is managed by a couple and is located few kms away from Reykjavik downtown but location is perfect when you are travelling Golden Circle and south coast. Would really recommend this amazing place.
Room is small but spotless. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. I would stay there again.
For us ot was really convenient. We stayed 2nights. Free parking. Nice hosts. Clean rooms. Quiet hotel, strong water power. There is always free coffee available. You get a 20 % discount of the closest bakery's Lindabakery. They have great sandwiches.
Nothing to do in the area. Good for a one night stop-over. No amenities. No cofee until about 9:00. Nice staff. Ony three TV channels. (they will say there are more than 3 but they duplicate)

I stayed in this hotel for just one night. arrived in before the check in time but the staff still welcomed me. She checked my room to see it’s been cleaned so I could have my room earlier. Great experience. We had a problem with the code door when we arrived and someone was quick to respond and help! It turns out we didn’t check our email the day of and they upgraded our room for free. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast (included) was delicious and filling. Great location if you rent a car and plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend!
We were with friends for two nights, wonderful hotel, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hostess of the hotel. the rooms are very clean and smell nice. There is a cozy veranda and the opportunity to drink tea/coffee/cocoa with cookies at any time in the hotel restaurant. I definitely recommend the hotel, on my next trip to Iceland I will also stay here.
Hotel Lotus was our first hotel after arriving in Iceland. Although small, it was cozy and made us feel right at home. We were very happy with this accomodation! The day we left, we had to leave at 3 a.m. and were therefore to early to get breakfast. Knowing this, the very nice and helpful lady of the hotel made us some sandwiches, which were waiting for us on the counter. Recommended!
This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting. After a mess at the international airport which involved a power outage, freak storm, and hours upon hours of lines, culminating in false hotel vouchers from the airline (because the original hotels never received the voucher bookings because there was no power), we made...
Great place to stay for a night or two. Very close to the city center and also to the wharf. The beds were comfortable and every room has its own private bathroom which is nice. The accommodation was adequate, room was warm, beds comfortable. Kitchenette had kettle, microwave and fridge but no cutlery or crockery, we had to ask for it. The shower was very small, it was hard to move once you were in and difficult to control water temperature. Cheap accomodation.
Great location right near Hallgrimskirkja Church, easy walking distance to everything. Great for a short stay. I stayed the night before my ringroad tour and the night after and had a room on 3rd floor both times. Comfy bed and room was clean. Small kitchenette with microwave, kettle and fridge. Ideal for a quick stop before traveling on. Ideal location right next to Hallgrimskirkja church. Easy walk or bus to down town, where loads of restraints. Only 1 pillow which was very flat and toilet could do with a bit more of a clean. But generally very nice room.
Given an 'Average' rating, but this was perfectly acceptable for what we paid for the room. Very convenient for the town center (an easy walk down to road puts you on the high street), well placed for bus/taxi pick-up and put-down. Good value for money.
Not really a hotel. No TV or Kettle. Kitchenette with sink and microwave? Breakfast not available until after 09:00 in the Vietnam restaurant which also acts as the reception! Good location though. Bed & bathroom clean, but with a couple of cockroaches
Close to the cathedral and the bus station, the environment is quiet, the rooms are clean, there are many places to eat around, there are plenty of people, and the house prices are cost-effective. It is recommended

Good basic accomadation
Good value for money but this is not a luxury hotel. Buses to city center nearby but it is out of town. Plenty of parking. A bit slow at providing us with room access details.
It was a different experience with no person to contact regarding questions. Questionable neighborhood, but in the end it was OK.
Curious stay, because check-in simply happened by phone for us to communicate that we’d arrived, to get the code to enter, and to know what our room number was. Convenient location with free parking. It's a short walk to the city center and great for chasing the Northern Lights by the sea. Breakfast was just okay. The hygiene was good.
Great location, very clean hotel, and you can even see the cathedral from your room. It's within walking distance to Rainbow Street, the Phallus Museum, the Concert Hall, and Little Elephant Supermarket. Plus, free parking!
Solo trip. The location is excellent. It's about a 15-minute walk from the airport shuttle bus terminal, or you can arrange a drop-off. For day trips, the bus stop is #8. The room faces the church and has a kitchen. However, rooms facing the church also face the cemetery behind it. Of course, this is quite common abroad. Just tell yourself it's good for promotion and wealth. The hot spring water has...
Highly recommended, a perfect score! The location is right next to the cathedral, and bus stop 8 is just a 3-minute walk away, making it ideal for day trips. It's very clean; even though it has shared bathrooms, they are spotless. You can see the cathedral right outside the window!
I didn't have high hopes for this hotel, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise!
The location is fantastic; the church is right outside the door, and I was so excited to be staying so close to it when I first arrived.

The room was large and nice accoring to the decription. There was actually everything available what you need. The location (in case you have a car) and environment is great (parking, gym, foodstire etc.). There are just a few things which should be maintained and fixed. I stayed there 7 days, there was no cleaning at all and you have to organize new towels and bedsheets by yourself by finding...
Access to laundry was a nice convenience. Self-check in was simple. Only minor inconvenience was the mini fridge didn't have a freezer section.
I chose this property for the washer dryer. It was a disaster. The circuit kept tripping. Had to make a call. There’s only one set for the whole floor and the dryer never did dry the clothes. I had to hang my clothes all over the apartment. The shower and sink drains were clogged and the night light switch was broken next to bed. Also only one sleeping pillow per person.
Good location for driving into the city, free parking, and clean. We appreciated having a small kitchen to prepare our own food, with dishes and cutlery provided. Check in was smooth but it was hard to get sheets and pillowcases for the sofa bed (they were not in our room upon arrival and we had to go find them ourselves on another floor). No blackout curtains - the curtains are red so the best you...

The location was fantastic. Check in was easy. Staff seemed to come in regularly and take out the trash and tiddy up the bathrooms. The couch for the third person to sleep on was awful. Great central location and value. You will share a bathroom so make sure you are ok with that. Having a kitchen available was great. Staff was helpful when I needed to speak to them.
Bathroom/Toilet is not as clean as expected
The rooms are clean for a budget hotel but the walls are paper thin. I can hear everytime someone takes a poop and when he goes to the shower or uses the tap. Very nice guesthouse situated in a quiet area, yet close to central city. Owners contacted us before arrival to instruct about access to our room. When leaving, my daughter forgot her gloves and hat in the room. The owner contacted us and arranged sending the items to Sweden. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Reykjavik, 21 Hverfisgata (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This is not a 5 star accommodation as in luxury etc. But it by no means deserved a 4 star review , so I had to give it 5. Lovely and cosy and clean. Very very helpful and friendly staff. We also had the breakfast basket added and it was fantastic, such a lovely treat every day. Would highly recommended both for couples and especially for families.
We absolutely loved our apartment which had a separate double bedroom and twin beds in the living area. Having a sofa, kitchen and dining table was lovely - it felt like being at home. the breakfast baskets delivered to our door were very generous and good quality. The kids loved having a PlayStation! Good location close to the main shopping street and places to eat. Highly recommended.
Superb! Comfortable and well equipped. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hugely good value and right in the centre of the city. Would absolutely recommend and will only stay here when we come back! Absolutely lovely!
Great apartments, spacious and luxurious with lots of complimentary food and drinks. The apartments are in a great location, less than 5 minutes walk from the city center and the main shopping street.
Really a great hotel in the suite type style. Clean, immaculate, and a great central location in Reykjavik. Staff is very helpful. One staff member called back a tour bus after we had accidently missed the departure time. Definitely, worth the price!
Lovely place; the Christian X Suite is great
