Hostel & Glamping Santa Fortunata in Sorrento

We spent 6 fabulous nights at this very welcoming site in our Motorhome with wonderful views over Sorrento and Mt Vesuvious. What makes this site are the great facilities and friendly staff who ensure your stay wants for nothing.

Great stay- basic accommodation but clean. Shuttle bus was a big bonus. Supermarket had all the basics. Reception very helpful as well as the night porter.
Pity the beach didn’t open till late one day when we wanted to go down to the cliffs.

I cannot describe how wonderful our stay was at Santa Fortunata. The safari tent was so beautiful and overlooking the sea through the olive trees. It is comfortable even if you are staying in colder temperatures because there is good heating. The shower is the best shower we ever had in our lives. SO powerful. Everything was perfect. We stayed in October so I guess a little quieter than in the summer. For us, this is so so much better than the expensive hotels in Sorrento. You have the quiet and nature. There are regular shuttles into the town. Thank you so so much! The young man who managed the pool bar is an asset to this accommodation. He was so sweet, so welcoming, so kind. He was a huge highlight for us during our stay. He deserves the world!!! I am so sad that I cannot think of his name but he was there each day. Please tell him thank you from us.

What a lovely place. Well worth a stay. Our accommodation was clean and tidy. The views are amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak very good English. Beware you are on a mountain so there is lots of steps and steep hills. The wall to the sea is a trek but nice when you get down there. Beware of the rocks in the sea. There is buggies to take you around but not to the sea. There is a bus that takes you into town and back. The pool area is great . Definitely visit again

The campsite is very pleasant and well-maintained, but as always, there's room for improvement. For instance, the restrooms are too far from the main accommodation areas. It would be beneficial to have a toilet block closer to the tent pitches (or wooden cabins). The opening hours for the pool and beach are too short; I couldn't make use of them as they were closed early in the morning and after 6:30 PM. Furthermore, the bar with the sea view was closed, and reaching the other bar was inconvenient because it was located uphill from where we were staying.

We stayed 3 nights at Santa Fortunata Village in Dodome Tent No. 9 and had a pleasant experience overall. The village is located a bit outside of Sorrento town, but since we were driving, the distance wasn’t an issue. For those not driving, they do offer a buggy service, which is convenient.

Our tent didn’t have the best view, but we were still able to catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay, with no disturbances from other campers. The bed was comfortable, and the tent included a plug point and two USB ports. However, there were no built-in lights, so we recommend bringing your own portable USB light.

There were ants on the ground, but it wasn’t a major problem. The parking lot was spacious, and the shared bathrooms and toilets were a short walk away. Showers had hot water, and there were plenty of basins and mirrors available. The provided hair dryer was quite weak, so it’s better to bring your own if needed.

The village also has mini marts and a restaurant. We had dinner at the restaurant once—it was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere was elegant and enjoyable. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer excursions as well, though we had already planned our own itinerary.

All in all, it was a comfortable and quiet glamping experience. We'd definitely consider coming back!

Mainly it has a bit of a decoration smell, everything else is fine.
