Atlantic Palace Hotel in Sorrento

The hotel rooms are dated and definitely need renovation. However, the breakfast was awesome, with a wide variety of high-quality options. The hotel has a great swimming pool with a nice bar, and the garden offers a beautiful atmosphere. There is live music along with a buffet that includes many options at a reasonable price—unfortunately, we missed it. There is also a rooftop with an amazing view and live music, which adds to the overall experience. We had a one-night à la carte dinner, and the quality was amazing. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the city center, which is very convenient. If the rooms are renovated, this hotel could easily be considered a 5-star property.

We stayed at this hotel in October 2025 and cannot understand the negative reviews as we had a completely different experience. We arrived late evening and were expecting to be told that we had missed dinner, not at all, they advised us to go straight to dinner and took our cases up to the room. Our room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view of the volcano from the balcony. The food was excellent and plentiful. The cleaning staff were excellent. One review we saw before we went away commented on the breakfast "always being the same", show me a hotel where that is not the case, so yes it was always the same but with so many different things on offer and a cook to order station you could stay there for a week or two and not have the same breakfast twice. Dinner was excellent with a buffet antipasti, and waiter served first course first course and main course and a buffet dessert. The waiting staff were welcoming and attentive, they could not be faulted in any way. We did not use reception a great deal but when we did they were friendly and efficient. Although a fair way outside the centre, the hotel shuttle bus was reliable both for getting into and back from the centre. TUI had reps at the hotel. They organised some of the activities, and seemed to be ever present at the hotel, they were far more visible than I have experienced on any holiday for a long time. One thing that they could improve on is letting you know sooner if a hotel based activity is cancelled for whatever reason. This however, does not change our view that the hotel is an excellent place to stay and we certainly hope to return there in the future.

Great Hotel, good location near Sorrento. Amazing breakfast, staff are very friendly and attentive. Nice pool area with a bar, would have been better if the water was heated! Will definitely return

Just about to leave this hotel and it has been absolutely amazing! I honestly cannot understand the poor reviews, they do not reflect our experience at all. The room was lovely and kept very clean, and the bed is so comfortable i want to take it home. We were out and about during the day and most evenings but we loved the live music, bingo and the wine tasting. All of the staff are beyond wonderful. They are so friendly and cannot do enough for you, i have never been to a hotel where every single staff member is so kind and friendly. Special mention for lovely Vincenzo and the bar team, Francesco and all of the restaurant team, and lovely Gloria and the reception staff. And the lovely shuttle bus driver who is always on time and makes sure you get to the centre and back safely. You can call the hotel to book to come back if you don’t want to book your return in advance. Thank you all so much for such a wonderful holiday and looking after us so well, we will definitely be recommending anyone coming to Sorrento stay here.

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. It is a small friendly hotel where all of the staff go out of their way to be helpful and welcoming especially the dinning staff. The hotel is located quite far out of Sorrento but there is a shuttle bus into town or you can get the No 8 bus from just outside the hotel. The bedrooms are spacious with a large bathroom which has a double shower. The food was fabulous. There was a buffet style and also menu on set days. Breakfast options ranged from continental and hot food. Desserts were yummy they couldn’t be resisted. Super yummy . The TUI reps were friendly and helpful. Thank you so much to all the staff for an enjoyable holiday.

We are on our last night, and I honestly dont get some of the negative reviews. This place has been great. The check-in was easy, especially with the great TUI reps doing it all for us! Reception drinks and room keys were given to you. The rooms are a good size and the cleaners came in every day, changed towels etc. They work so hard. The pool area and the jacuzzi area are brilliant, and the pool staff (all of them) were accommodating and friendly. We never had an issue with anyone there. They work nonstop to make you comfortable. The choice of music is a bit young for the crowd, though lol. The food on a whole has been excellent. There is a good choice, but again, it's the staff who make the experience better. No matter what meal, the staff are friendly and work tirelessly. Amazing. If people complain about rooms, staff and food, etc, I dont know where you usually stay is all I can say. Also, the shuttle service is great. Book the day before for the time you need. It's not hard. Again, something that the hotel doesn't have to do but gives you the option. There is a gym that I have used a few times, which is basic but usable. I can't praise the hotel and staff enough. As for TUI itself, the reps are great. We booked 2 trips, which is something we wouldn't normally do. However, we found it took the hassle out of the planning. I can recommend the day trip to pompei and Mt Versuvius and the day/eve trip to Capri. Well worth the money. Dont listen to the negatives unless you are the type to sit in your room, demand 5 star everything, and still complain. This place is a 100% go. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.
