At first, we were a little concerned about going to Elba Island during the winter. However, the weather has been wonderful. The island is much bigger than we expected, lots of things to explore. Especially if you’re into the outdoors, mountain biking, trail, running, etc. The hotel is really relaxing, the staff is what makes it truly special. Resturant and half board are well worth it.

Hotel is clean, comfortable, modern, and the service is excellent. The breakfast buffet has everything you could need. The views are excellent, and it’s a short walk into town. The traffic noise is the only downside. It’s right on the Main Street into town, so when sitting outside it’s quite noisy. However, the sound is not noticeable from the inside.

I had a single room which was small, clean with a single bed. There was a fridge and TV. No kettle so take your own if you like a cuppa. Continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Shops are not far away and you can get a funicular to Montecatini Alto which is lovely. Enjoyed plenty of ice cream.

Clean, friendly kind service, great breakfast and dinner. Fantastic views. A restored 1800’s monastery, so rooms are not like a 5 star hotel but beds were comfortable. I am 6’1” and 200#. Shower was small. That’s my only complaint. Everything else excellent.

If you want an old Italian villa experience with modern conveniences, this is for you. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. The food is delicious, with an exceptional breakfast buffet. They will cater to your every need, and provide amazing excursions. This is away from the usual Italy tourist sites, providing a lovely escape.

We stayed for 1 week and has the most enjoyable time. The staff were particularly helpful, accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I mainly dealt with Stephania and Bazi who were great. A charming place suitable for families and couples, nestled in the Tuscan countryside. We had access to a wood-burning oven and barbecue, and the well-kept garden makes you feel right at home. The apartments are equipped with every comfort and are furnished with well-maintained antiques. I will definitely return in the summer, as there's a jacuzzi and a huge pool.

i arrived to Florence from Assisi really sick, and having had my wallet stolen. I cannot imagine a more welcoming place than Hotel Burchianti. Giulia amd Marco (or Mario) are so professional and kind and made my stay there feel like coming home. The room was amazing with beautiful painted ceiling. Everything was sparkling clean and the central heating worked (it is January).

The Junior suite with the frescos was one of a kind. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Beds are good. The stuff is amazingly and uniquely friendly and helpful. Giulia is a gem. Fresh coffee in the morning instead of a coffee maker. In the old town only walking minutes from the cathedral. One of the best accommodations ever

Room was clean and surprisingly big. I found the bed comfy but husband didn’t. Staff was pleasant but we weren’t told breakfast was extra when we checked in, and the next morning the person in charge was 10 minutes late, so we had to wait for fresh coffee. Once he got situated he did make some pretty good cappuccino. But we had expected breakfast and weren’t even offered the option when checking in...

It was an easy walk to the train station and also close enough to the sights I wanted to see that I was able to walk. Also the interior of the historic building was charming.
