Great hotel!! Stayed there in July 2024. Exceptionally clean, wonderful breakfast, both sweet and savoury. Friendly and helpful staff. Staff speaks Italian and English. Very good location (close to beach, promenade, city center and restaurants). Mini fridge and kettle in room are convenient. You get a discount at two nearby restaurants, and at a nearby beach.

Location is very good. Parking good but expensive at 25 euro. Very little hot water. Didn’t accept American Express card despite saying on booking site it was.

I stayed at the City Hotel in Viareggio for 3 nights and can only leave a super positive review!
From the first moment, the welcome was impeccable: the staff were extremely kind, always available, and ready to make every guest feel at home.
The location is perfect, just steps from the sea and convenient for the center, restaurants, and all the main attractions in Viareggio.
The service was excellent in every way, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the attention to detail. The passion and professionalism of the staff is evident.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and pleasant stay in the splendid setting of Viareggio. I will definitely be back!

I booked this hotel based on its excellent reviews, but I have to disagree. The hotel lacks ventilation, the rooms are dated with jumbled furniture, and there's a lot of dust, even in the air conditioning. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is quite good. The selection of products isn't very imaginative, meaning there's nothing you won't find in any hotel in any city, anywhere in the world; nothing local or seasonal.

Very good location, lots of restaurants around, good indoor parking for extra pay.
But there was some negatives to.
Wi-Fi didn’t work, there is no shelves in the shower, the lock-keys to the room 100 years old.

I'd never found a place like this before! Every week I visit a new region and stay in hotels or B&Bs, but this hotel really surprised me! I thought it would be small and not worth the price, but for only €56 I got a new, beautifully furnished room.

I'll leave you all the photos and videos I took.
I highly recommend it! Even the hotel smelled amazing! Everything was truly perfect.

The location is excellent: right on the beach promenade, with all the most famous shops like Sephora, OVS, Guess... and there's also a lake with many amenities, bars, and restaurants just a few steps away.

Excellent stay in a great place
Excellent quality price ratio, surprisingly good for a 2 star hotel, should have 3 stars. Great terrace with the room, very friendly staff. If you visit Puccini festival, this is the place to stay: shuttle stops around the corner.
