Hakuba, 3020-647 Echoland Hokujou 🧭 Map
The cooked breakfast every morning was amazing & we also dined in the restaurant a few nights when we couldn’t be bothered going out again. All our meals were delicious & the kids agree they made the best hot chocolates
The drying room was perfectly located and worked a treat, and the onsen was a lovely bonus. We were even lucky enough to have a private onsen one evening, which was an unforgettable experience
Everyone genuinely seemed to be having a great time, which made the stay even more special. We will definitely be back, assuming we can get a booking next time before it is fully booked out
The rooms were comfortable, warm, and quiet, and we slept like logs every night. There was also a fantastic atmosphere throughout the hotel, with a jovial vibe among both guests and staff
The daily mountain transfers were a huge highlight. We were dropped off every morning and picked up every afternoon at a time that suited us, which made ski days completely stress free
Being our first time to the snow it took all the worry away knowing they would drop us off in the morning & pick us up in the afternoon at the different surrounding ski resorts

Hakuba, 6680 Hokujo 🧭 Map
The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the water was too hot on the first day and we couldn't use the hot spring, but the next morning it was just the right temperature and we were able to enjoy a pleasant soak
It's close to Hakuba Happo-one and just a five-minute drive from Hakuba Iwatake, making it a great location for ski season. Because we stayed during the off-season, there weren't many other guests and it was quiet
If I have the opportunity to visit Hakuba again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. • The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the shared microwave and kitchen in the hallway were very convenient
The water pressure in the shower in the large communal bath was a bit of a concern, but other than that, I was satisfied. ◎ The buckwheat galette at breakfast was especially delicious!
• Towels and indoor wear were provided for free use, which was very helpful. • You can enjoy the view outside the window from the hot spring, allowing you to relax
All was fine, friendly stuff, nice breakfast, good facilities

The location to Habuka 47/Goryu is within walking distance of Escal Plaza (where night skiing takes place) 3. There is a small pub/bar just across the road. It's not too noisy, but it's there for a change of pace
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Mont Blanc. The staff were so accommodating and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed to know about our stay in Hakuba from lift passes, to travel and other activities
They have a free shuttle during ski season that will take you up to the base if you don’t want to walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Hakuba!
Stayed for 4 nights in a traditional style room. The pads were by far the thickest and comfiest I’ve had during my whole trip in Japan. The breakfast every morning was excellent and filling
The onsen facilities are simple but hit the spot after snowboarding. It is located just down the hill from the Goryu Escal Plaza base area, a 10 minute walk
Theres also daily scheduled free shuttle bus to Escal Plaza in the morning and 7-11 at night. We couldn't have asked for a better experience

Great place to stay for ski holidays in Hakuba!! Amazing services: walking distance from all shop, ski rental, Lawson, restaurant, bus terminal, and ski lift. You will be welcomed by two fabulous ladies
Wish I could give this hotel 10 stars. The hospitality was matched by a 5 star hotel. We came to learn that the two women working are sisters and they’re the fifth generation in their family running the business
The rooms are a “authentic” experience with beds on the floor which adds to the experience. Beds were very comfortable, views out the window(that open if you want fresh air), rooms were very clean
We loved staying at Happo Kan! The ladies running the hotel were so kind and thoughtful. They left water and clean towels for us at our hotel door every morning which was nice to come back to
Breakfast portions were very generous and served a variety of different items every day which included eggs, protein and some sort of miso soup or traditional item like fish to start the day
The hotel is conveniently located near happo bus terminal and happo one ski lifts. The rooms were clean and quiet and decorated in a traditional Japanese style

We stayed with an extended family group. The rooms were sweet & simple but very comfortable. The Lobby was a great place to mingle & make new friends whilst enjoying a local or western style meal or drink from the bar
Thank you Yuika & all the team ~ Yama, Nori, Anu, Luke, Bram & Cameron for all your help in making our Hakuba family Ski Holiday the best. We appreciated your advice, guidance & shuttle service
The atmosphere that was created by the staff made us feel special and relaxed, which I did value more than anything else. If we return to Happo-One we will stay at Abest Aldea again
Hotel Abest Happo Aldea is located in a beautiful forest in Wadano and has easy access to the ski slopes at Sakka through the forest or by shuttle bus
All the staff were very helpful and professional and we really enjoyed our week there. Would highly recommend particularly for the friendly staff and beautiful location
It just fits to my need this time. With free parking, it is convenient to my business trip.

, the service is warm :) We Stayed in this hotel for less than a week and its was a very comfortable stay , very near to the slope and bars and places you need to go when in hakuba, on our last day , we checked out of the hotel and forgot my money under the bed (more or less than( ¥150000), i called the manager at the hotel and luckily HE found it under the beddings and even though IM FAR already...
Most friendly staff I’ve met on my trip. Right next to Goryu Ski Resort. Jun helped us with rentals, lift tickets, as well as organizing shuttles to the station and the onsen
The inside of the hotel was beautiful and there was a drying room, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. Certainly I will not leave my luggage, but I used it because there is a locker at Escal Plaza
Breakfast and dinner were included in our reservation and it was so good. Rooms were Tatami style and cool to experience as an American. I would definitely book with them again!
We are from New Zealand and we have a ski addiction and this Hotel will cover all your needs it’s really close to the snow you have good transport options and there is also a good amount of places near by to eat out
It was so adorable, the location is incredible if you’re trying to ski, and the staff was super helpful. She helped with everything from bus schedules, recommendations, and made our stay feel like home!

so refreshing!! (A small tip about the bottom 2 bedrooms: I recommend to leave the doors open and the electric fans on even when you're not using, cuz when the doors closed and no fan on, they can get a damp smell
Double floors with twin beds, double decker beds, washing machine and dryer, kitchen, dishwasher, expresso machine, living room area - very much like your own home, sited near forest with amazing fresh air and space to chill out
Top spot for the nearby lift and luckily there is ski hire and a great pub nearby, not so good if you want to move around hakuba, as transport in hakuba valley is messy and difficult.
Location wise it is near to Lawson as a convenient store and you can head out to town to get groceries as well. Nearby you can find plenty of soba restaurants (do check/call first for reservation)
Walking distance to restaurants, shops, and ski facilities, with ski gear, they have free shuttle vans that pick you up and drop off to ski lifts simply by booking on whatsapp page
From the welcome gift, local area information, WiFi service, impeccable cleanliness, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds etc, everything was more than we had expected!

Really recommend this place if your going to ski on the cheaper side! Wonderfully nice staff who went the extra mile for me by making dinner later than the cut off! It's bit old, but you didn't travel to hakuba for the hotel did you?! Perfect place for a dudes snowboarding trip!
Amazing place, perfect indoor and outdoor Onsens, great bar plus friendly and accommodating staff all around. Shuttles to and from all ski resorts. Slightly dated hotel and rooms, but very clean and spotless
Old hotel, seemed like no one lived there, but over the course of my stay it got busy. Neat and clean rooms, basic amenities included in room with daily housekeeping. Close to hakuba station and the shops in the vicinity
Good food and decent rooms, although the main building is connected to the restaurant by a freezing basement tunnel
Has a shuttle bus to the ski lifts nearby but if u miss the shuttle it's a painful walk if snowing

Rooms were not serviced unless you wanted to pay a daily rate. Recycle bins in the hallway for cans and bottles. This was good as if we couldn't recycle, the bin would have been overflowing in the room after 4 nights
Convenient Location but Spartan Room Very good location in town center (about 10 minute walk to ski lifts), but room was very basic
Small fridge big enough for drinks and breakfast supplies. Little cakes provided in fridge on day of arrival that was a nice feature and very delicious (little cheesecakes). Reason for a rating of 3 was the location
2 made for us and the 3rd just a mattress - not very appealing. I didn't realise the shared bathroom was an onsen so we had no shower in the room. Towels were paper thin and small
Beds were hard and pillows were straw on one side and stuffing on other side. It's a traditional Japanese pillow but not good if you are not accustomed to a hard pillow
They don't focus on hotel service; they're putting all their effort into the restaurant on the first floor.

The easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given! From the moment we arrived, everything was amazing. The accommodation beautifully embraces traditional Japanese culture, which made the experience feel so special and authentic
It’s perfectly located in the heart of Happo Village making it a short walk to the mountain, restaurants, and bars, and super close to the Happo Bus Terminal. The rooms were spotless and very well maintained
The hotel itself was great offering a traditional experience, great breakfast and an extremely convenient location- close to the Happo One bus terminal, most rental stores, lots of restaurants and bars
At first, I thought it would have a dated interior since it’s an older hotel, but it turned out to be quite modern, well-maintained, spacious, and very clean! I loved the ryokan-style ambiance
The onsen/ hot spring on the 5th floor is the most anticipated refreshment after a massive day on the slope. Been staying here for years, and we can't wait for our next visit back
the onsens were tattoo friendly, they had a dry room for gear were super accomodating so as to let us hang around for a few hours after check-out while waiting for our transport

We stayed here for 3 nights for snowboarding. We were pleasantly surprised with no only the services offered at the hotel but also the extra services offered by the owners
We stayed at El Mayo during our time in Hakuba and that place is awesome, simple and you have everything you need and its super quiet for a good rest
They happily drove us back from the ski mountain and also to the bus stop. My favorites part was relaxing in the bath in the basement floor after a long day of snowboarding. Thank you very much and I will come again! P
Location is perfect for shuttle bus to and from ski resorts and also short walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Owners are very nice people, they drove us to ski resorts every morning
Great location between ski fields and shops. Absolutely amazing service, the owners were very kind. We definitely recommend getting the breakfast package as it makes mornings easy and is wide ranging.
so clean, as expected in Japan, but is still nice to stay in. nothing is ever too much and even though the English is limited they can more than understand and try extremely hard to communicate

Totally walkable distance to Lawson and Hakuba bus terminal. On-site onsen is really great and clean. The well prepared breakfast which you can choose Japanese or Western style are a good start for a day
Really nice place to stay for budget traveler, one of the best ryokan I have ever stayed in Japan. com in about 8 months ago and it seems I luckily get a larger room with private restroom and large tatami met
First, if you arrive early, luggage storage is only available after 9:00 AM. Second, check-in is strictly after 3:00 PM. Lastly, after check-out, you can no longer use the facilities
It’s conveniently located: 4 minutes’ walk to the bus station, 5 minutes to Lawson, 2–3 minutes to all the equipment rental shops, and about 19 minutes’ walk to Evergreen Ski / Snowboard School and the chairlift
Only downside is the mirror in the room are too low for me and there is no humidifier in the room so be careful not to turn on the heat for whole night unless you are Waterman
Location is also perfect, only 10 minute walk to the gondola and 5 min walk to the bus terminal where you can take the buss to other ski resorts as well as to Nagano

I love this Ryokan. This is the second time we've stayed here. I highly recommend it for the kindness of the owners, the peaceful atmosphere, and the delicious dishes they prepare and present with such care ☺️.
The host himself promptly delivered my sunglasses that I left to my new hotel, which I greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend everybody to have a stay here. The host kindly picked up from the bus stop
We love this hotel It's a wonderful hotel. Very clean, services were excellent. My family including the kids enjoyed staying thoroughly. Very close to our ski school, easy to find. Highly recommended.
We stayed in the Aoi room - very spacious and has million dollar views of the mountains across the valley. Particularly liked having lots of comfortable common areas to hangout or do work
I definitely will go back here. I didn't want to come home. Everything about it from the hot bath after skiing to the food and the family looking after you is amazing ❣️
We stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The inn is gorgeous, the host family is incredibly nice and the food was outstanding

The shared bathroom didn't bother me, but opposite, especially it has the pool of hot spring water. Very cozy and traditional 😊 Super clean. Very nice and friendly management. We enjoyed staying there in march’25
Breakfast and dinner is super value for money! We should have ordered dinner every single day (you will have a book in advance and check for availability). Plenty of parking spaces is a plus for those who plan to drive
Hakuba Glad Inn Ebisuya is THE place for a lovely, relaxing and authentic traditional Japanese stay :D!! The owners were ski instructors themselves, so they know exactly what you need (that’s how they met
Location is superb, breakfast is 1500 yen topup and tasted very authentic japanese. Many guests were up at 7am for breakfast. We were offered new years day mochi rice cake for new year breakfast
Lovely cute room in excellent location. Cute ryokan style room with own toilet and sink. Onsen downstairs was ok but there are lots of onsens to explore in area for bathing after skiing
A short walk to main Happo bus terminal. Also very short walk to Hakuba Valley Shuttle bus stop and skiing at Nakiyama slope. Not much of a walk to Happo Gondola either

Hakuba Log Hotel Meteor, Hakuba1 / 11

Hakuba, 2937 Misorano Hokujo 🧭 Map
The whole place has been renovated with a big kitchen and communal lounge with heaps of room for a large group. Great location with a 2 minute walk into town, close to restaurants, shuttle bus and convenience store
Meteor is one of the coziest lodging spots I’ve ever stayed at! I’m a sucker for fleece bedding, and they had exactly that. Meteor has a shared kitchen for people to store, heat, and eat food
I booked Meteor on Agoda, where Meteor messaged me a lot of key information such as: - food and ski rental recommendations - reminding me to making reservations for dinner, because apparently, restaurants in Hakuba book out at dinner time - reminding me to make shuttle / taxi accommodations I greatly appreciated this, as it made my planning much easier
Location is great; it’s within a 10 minute walk from the Main Street to get food and about 20 minutes away from the nearest convenience store. Overall, I’d love to stay here again the next time I visit Hakuba
Great for ski trip Very nice small pension with an Udon restaurant included. We went there for a two day ski trip and it was an amazing experience. Very friendly staff, Japanese style lobby and restaurant
Chika even surprised us with a cheesecake board as a congratulations on our last night. We'd stay here again without hesitation and recommend it highly as a place to stay if you're coming to Echoland

This is a cute place, although I came here in November it going to snow season but we’re too early to come with out update anything, so then i missed many activities on Hakuba and this place feel like japan traditional style and vibe soft and warm
Really enjoyed the stay here! The place feels cozy and comfortable overall. The shower is shared and located in the basement, with two rooms available. Each one is fully private with a proper door, so no worries at all
This was my third stay here! The food is absolutely delicious, and they even serve homemade bread for breakfast! This time I only opted for breakfast, but in the Hakuba area, finding dinner can sometimes be a challenge, so having dinner included definitely makes for a more relaxing and comfortable stay
They also provide disposable towels, and you can find hair dryers outside the bathrooms on both the first and second floors. The owner is friendly and can communicate well in English
The place is clean, tidy, and very cute. The building has three floors. The basement level has the onsens and a storage area for skis and snowboards, as well as a vending machine for guests’ convenience
The ground floor has a shared community room and dining area, along with shared toilets. The second floor has nine bedrooms, two toilets, and a hot and cold drink dispenser with complimentary snacks
