If you enjoy traditional Japanese style hotel, you will appreciate this one. The host is welcoming and thoughtful. The room is spacious with tatami fully covered and a window side set to enjoy the night view. The location is unbeatable. Snow park shuttle stops are literally right at your doorstep to take you to various slopes, plus Hakuba bus station is just a minute walk away. Easy access to various shops, ski rentals and bars and eateries. The onsen/ hot spring on the 5th floor is the most anticipated refreshment after a massive day on the slope. Been staying here for years, and we can't wait for our next visit back.

The easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given!
From the moment we arrived, everything was amazing. The accommodation beautifully embraces traditional Japanese culture, which made the experience feel so special and authentic. It’s perfectly located in the heart of Happo Village making it a short walk to the mountain, restaurants, and bars, and super close to the Happo Bus Terminal. The rooms were spotless and very well maintained. The staff were genuinely so kind and welcoming, always keeping us updated on local events and even offering us rides around town when we couldn’t get an Uber. You can truly feel how much they care about their guests and take pride in sharing their culture.

We had such a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Thank you for having us! :)

Amazing hotel for an Australian couple to stay at with unreal service and hospitality from the couple that owns and runs the place. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and help us whenever we needed. Right next to the happo bus terminal and
another shuttle bus picks you up and drops you off at the front door to get to happo gondola. Just an all around great place to stay.

We stayed for a few days in a larger group across a few rooms, and had a great experience.
The staff were extremely accomodating and flexible. The hotel itself was great offering a traditional experience, great breakfast and an extremely convenient location- close to the Happo One bus terminal, most rental stores, lots of restaurants and bars. The staff were extremely helpful with transfers and were happy to drop off to lessons, or to Hakuba Station.
the onsens were tattoo friendly, they had a dry room for gear were super accomodating so as to let us hang around for a few hours after check-out while waiting for our transport.
Over-all it was our favourite accomodation during our trip to Japan.

This hotel is very close to the Happo bus terminal, with a strategic location along the main road and near various restaurants. At first, I thought it would have a dated interior since it’s an older hotel, but it turned out to be quite modern, well-maintained, spacious, and very clean! I loved the ryokan-style ambiance. The service is also five star, especially the older male receptionist with glasses, who was very friendly and helpful to our whole family.
I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Hakuba. Arigatou!🗻🙏🏻

The hotel management contacted us a week after booking that we had to cancel our booking because the price was not right! The booking was already confirmed and therefore legally valid. Such behavior is unacceptable and dubious! Stay away!

Excellent location, with the Happo bus terminal, convenient store Lawson, and the stop for the shuttle bus to ski resorts (called Phenix, in front of the Phenix store just 2 buildings downhill) just within 1 minute walking distance.

The owner is very warm and friendly, and the staff are very helpful and courteous.

The room is very accommodating, with a change of towels, hot drinking water in a thermos, and bedsheets every day. There is central heating, but if that’s not enough for you, there is an extra radiator you can plug in. I highly recommend it to keep you toasty at night. If you’re a large person and am not a fan of tiny bathrooms, don’t worry - there is an extra sink outside the bathroom in your room that you can use instead. I also suggest you shower at the onsen room, and do number two in the bathroom on the first floor bc it’s the only toilet with the bidet function (aka “smart toilet”).

The meals are plentiful without making you hungry or too full for skiing, and the onsen with hot sauna room on the 5th floor is legit. There is a washing machine and a dryer which you can use when inserting coins. So all in all, an excellent place with everything you need and great location. Would definitely stay there again.

Warning: Please note that other tenants might smoke in their rooms, so the hallways might have a smell, but my room had no smell whatsoever during the entire stay of 6 days, even when the hallways had a strong smell. The smell completely clears the next day, so it’s not a big issue. Enjoy your stay! I know I did.

Very friendly staff. Hiroyuki San speaks good English. The location is also perfect. Happo One bus stop is right in front of the building. The only downside is that there is no washlet in the room.
