I had piping hot miso soup and refilled the rice four times! Last time, breakfast and dinner were included, but this time, I only had breakfast. There is a microwave and an electric kettle, so you can warm up food

Was here for the day use onsen. Great quality of water for experienced Japan traditional onsen explorers. It’s an old hotel so facility is a bit outdated. One big tub max 6 people at once

Decent distance from Goryokaku Park though! The staff is very polite & appears to remember their guests so they'd quickly give me my key when I returned each night, without needing to ask or verify room numbers

I can't say how clean the onsen was because I didn't wear my glasses, but it seemed fine. Decent size & perfect temperature for me. In terms of onsens & shrines, it's in a good spot

I don't think it was other rooms or traffic, but random, loud thuds. In terms of pricing, I'm not familiar with how much onsen/ryokan usually are or how much a very nice one is

The owner is very nice and only speaks Japanese. There is a coin-operated washing machine. The room is very clean and square. The traditional Japanese-style room is much larger than the one in other cities

However, it is a walking distance from JR and it is the opposite distance from Mt. It is a bit far to the scenic spot

The staff is nice and friendly, helpful. cons : wifi is really weak luggage storage mentioned on listing but only allowed 12 noon

with at least 10 mins walk to station and storage lockers, i believe it should be revised on stated on booking

In order not to disturb the neighbors during the New Year's Eve, we chose an independent villa. The rooms are beyond imagination. The rooms are clean and the facilities are great

The service staff’s introduction is also very detailed and they recommend local delicious and fun places. All in all, I feel that the one-time price is very good and the experience is great

This is our favourite vacation home in the world, we’re stayed there 5th times in the row, every time don’t want to leave, excellent property and awesome property management

I had an urgent need to go to Kushiro and stayed overnight without meals. There's a parking lot, but it's not very spacious. Even with a kei car, the width is just barely enough to park, but it's manageable

The breakfast was excellent, and I especially loved the miso soup – it was packed with ingredients and delicious, plus they had Hokkaido milk! Parking is conveniently located right across from the hotel

Kushiro isn't a big city, so there's not much to explore. For a one-night stay, this hotel was truly faultless! The room was a standard Japanese-style room, with just enough space to open one suitcase

There seemed to be many restaurants, but in winter, some were closed, and it was really cold, so we didn't venture too far

Downstairs, there's a self-service coffee and tea station, and on each floor, you can choose your own pillow

Some of the buildings and rooms are old, but they prepared a spacious Japanese-Western style room and I was able to spend a comfortable time. The bath is small, but it doesn't matter if it's for sightseeing purposes

The staff at the hotel were kind and easy to talk to, and I was very impressed. The restaurant on the 5th floor had a good economy and a very pleasant breakfast. I would like to use it again when I go to Hakodate

it was under renovation when we visited a couple of years back for an outdoor onsen that seemed great! have great view overseeing the city and is within walking distance to the cable car as well

Hakodate, the location is very good for sightseeing in Hakodate. Hakodate Ropeway platform can be reached in about 1 minute on foot

About 20 minutes walk from the station. It's fine except for the smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. There is a large bath, but I was too tired to go. It's a cheap and good place to stay near Hakodate Station.

The room was outdated, but it was clean and the letter was nice. It was the best little-known spot hotel. I definitely want to use it again!

I had cold tanuki soba. It was a very good 28 soba. There is also a daily lunch, and I think it's a little-known spot. However, the inside of the store is too dark and it is difficult to find the menu (laughs)

Pleasant and homely, with a public bath - the room was adequately furnished and they even provided a free phone. Heater could've been a little more efficient.

The location is very good. Hotel is a bit old but clean. No food service, which is a bit disappoint. In general is Ok.

We enjoyed our stay at Deer Valley Hotel. Our room was connected twin room, very spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 people. Dinner and breakfast are both buffets with decent quality. The onsen is small but good.

The bathhouse is large and clean, the public space is spacious, the bed in the room is large, and there is a high chair by the window to rest and watch the scenery. The scenery outside the window is pleasant

The seafood appetizer for dinner was very stale. There was no air conditioning in the room. There was no elevator, so we carried our 29-inch suitcase to the third floor

Lovely stay at Deer Valley, staff were great, very friendly. Really liked that meals were served at your table - we had stayed at a few other places recently that were all buffet style

Stayed for five consecutive days, the hotel looks old, the door is opened with a key, it has a sense of age. The hotel has all the necessary facilities. The hotel staff's English is not very good

It is recommended to use a translator to communicate more. The breakfast is OK, I recommend ordering Western food, and you can drink as much as you want, including coffee, tea, juice, etc

You need to set the functions manually, and if you don't pick up the clothes on time after washing, you need to call the front desk to pick them up because it will automatically lock

Dinner, I think, was decent for the price! The ingredients seemed fresh, and it wasn't as bad as some online reviews claimed! Overall, Lake Shikotsu is worth visiting, and Marukoma is worth experiencing! It's an old brand, and the service is quite good! When we checked in, we casually mentioned needing a taxi the next day, and at breakfast, a staff member came to ask if we needed help calling one!...

The view is really beautiful, like a painting, the onsen is very good, interestingly there is a certain time given for photos and videos, there are special hours when the onsen is closed.

Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen

And the view from the public cafe is incredibly comfortable; just sitting there and daydreaming is a pure delight! The rooms are just for sleeping, small, and without a view, but the previous two hotels weren't any better

First, the onsen views are the best because of its elevated location. I wouldn't recommend the wild onsen as it's unmaintained and the water is very cold

Recently, I stayed at the Abashiri Royal Hotel for one night during my trip to Eastern Hokkaido

The hotel is old, but it's still relatively clean and tidy.

For the price, getting breakfast included is an amazing deal! They don't clean the room every day, but they do empty the trash and change towels (just leave them by the door). I actually prefer this kind of service

This place is near Kita-Juni-Jo Station. It's a bit of a walk from Hakodate Station, but if the weather's bad, you can just take the subway. The staff are very polite and friendly

It's so small that it's hard to even open a carry-on suitcase, and the bathroom is tiny too. But for this price, it's totally acceptable! 🥰 Satisfied

Convenient location and walking distance to Sapporo JR station. Staff spoke limited english but were genuinely sweet and friendly. Will book again.

All in all, it's a hotel I'd definitely stay at again! However, if you can't stand super small rooms, then I wouldn't recommend it

He took us to all the places that we needed to go and picked us up free of charge. It was my daughters birthday while we were there and he organised a cake for her and a bottle of champagne for us free of charge

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a bit out of the way but Dave and his wife go to extremes to help you whenever they can. Also Dave's wife is an excellent cook so try a meal while you are there

We stayed here for a couple of nights and Dave the owner was so helpful. He speaks limited English but tried to help us out wherever possible

He recommended a ski rental shop, helped me to purchase the lift pass and every day he dropped me off or picked me up at the ski place. The breakfast every morning was also wonderful

Dave's wife made very tasty meals. And the portion was perfect for me to start a day of high-energy skiing. At the hotel, there is also a washing machine

I extended my stay for another day for a total of 6 days. Dave san made everything so easy

The pool was MUCH larger than expected, I had so much fun having a late night swim and chuhai. The jacuzzi was huge, perfect way to melt my body with -7 weather outside

The karaoke was a nice touch and the room was always super clean. We loved that it was right next to the ocean. The hotel has adult toys available for purchase but you get a freebie massager to borrow in the room

Breakfast does not have to be a set, as it is not luxurious, such as frozen grilled rice balls and omelet. Normally, it may be better for travelers to eat a seafood bowl for both morning and lunch somewhere

The view of the sea from the bath was also superb. There was a bedrock bath, two big TVs, cosplay, a stupid bed, and two bottles of Otaru wine as a service, so it was a very satisfying stay

I booked on booking and stayed at 703 on the anniversary. The price is about 34,000 for two people. The windows are very large and the scenery looks beautiful throughout the sea

We stayed here for several days when visiting Sapporo and otaru. The staff was great and the room service is well priced and yummy. The tub had lights and jets and a little TV

It’s not the location (which you can’t beat), nor the accommodations (which are spacious and comfortable), or the amenities (beautiful fully equipped kitchen + in room washer dryer + Netflix) that surprised me, it’s the incredible service which really blew me away! I thought this was a self catering apartment, but turns out the onsite team (Robby, Nelson et al) catered to our many needs, from calling...

Very well organised holiday by Ludo & his team @ Vacation Niseko. The apartment was very good value for money being clean, modern, well equipped, close to the slopes and all the restaurants

Small requests like I needed a blender were catered for. Pick-up & drop off at the bus station were also friendly & helpful. Overall very good feel factor !

The hotel employee seemed to manage the front desk and the restaurant & bar on the 4th floor by himself, so he called by extension and checked in, but the impression of customer service was also good

At night, you can enjoy the night view while drinking coffee from the lounge on the 4th floor with the lights turned off. It really helps that the parking lot is free

I had only stayed at a cheap guesthouse in Hakodate, but it was discounted with a Rakuten card and it was very cheap including the parking lot, so I decided to take care of it

Receptionist can talk a bit English. At night is difficult to find this hotel, very dark around. The room is very old, furnitures are deteriorated. Breakfast is ok for the first day

The refrigerator is a normal household refrigerator and it cools well, but the freezer is not usable. On the other hand, the air conditioner is not very effective

i really like their tatami japanese room, it's more than what I expected, it's my first time to sleep at futon like that so I don't know normally it's a but harder than normal bed or not, the view from windows room is mountain, magnificent, the staff so polite, there's a microwave at hallway, but no plate, for water at bathroom I don't know why it's not clear (little cloudy), but overall I really satisfied...

The front desk is full of handsome uncles, very enthusiastic. The Japanese-style room has a little bit of smoke, but it is acceptable. The smell will disappear after the air purifier is turned on for a while

The room, with tatami mats, was larger than I expected and well-appointed with modern amenities, making for a comfortable stay. The window afforded a clear view of Wakkanai Port, covered in heavy snow

There was always staff at the check-in counter, so I arrived in Wakkanai in the morning, stored my luggage, and was able to explore the city without any hassle

It's within walking distance of Wakkanai Station, the northernmost railway station in Japan, making it very accessible

When I returned in the evening and checked in, they even helped me store my luggage in the room

I only used it for one night and had to wait 10mins for the other guy to finish. I went for public baths somewhere else in town for the remaining nights, luckily I was driving

The location is a bit remote, so it's relatively quiet, and the room size is adequate! There are no restaurants/shops nearby, it takes 6-7 minutes to walk, and there is only one shower room, so you have to wait in line! The boss used a translator to communicate with me, so there was no problem!

Very traditional Japanese style hotel. Room has your own heater and AC for summer. Sound insulation is pretty good. Room has plenty of space for my one person room

I had to bring my own towels for showering and mouthwash. There is a supermarket nearby. There are no restaurants nearby before 9 a. , and takeout is only available at the train station
