Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi Natural Hot Spring, Osaka1 / 23
9.0
Osaka, 2-1-9 Uchihonmachi, Chuo-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I've stayed at Dormy Inn hotels near Mount Fuji before, and this time I tried their Tanimachi location. While getting to popular commercial areas requires a few transfers, the hotel itself is excellent and offers fantastic value for money.
The room was good. Although small, it was enough for a family of three. I booked a twin room, but it didn't have a bathtub. The hotel switched me to a room with a tub. The bed was smaller, but still comfortable enough to sleep in. After soaking in the hot spring every day, there were free ice cream sticks to enjoy to your heart's content, and Yakult in the morning. For this alone, it deserves a full...
Very clean, excellent. Consistent service as always. Small but has everything you need.
Our stay at Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi with the kids was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious enough for the children to move around comfortably, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The bedding felt incredibly soft. The hotel's natural hot spring was a huge hit – the kids loved it, and it was so relaxing for the adults too. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with any questions...
The room was very comfortable, and the front desk staff was excellent; they even allowed us to check in early. You can opt to visit the hot springs in the afternoon when it's less crowded and peaceful. The cold drinks are from Hershey's, which is a nice touch. And you absolutely must try the ramen they offer in the evening – it's fantastic! Plus, there's an amazing tonkatsu restaurant nearby, about...
The hotel isn't large, but it's well-designed. There's a hot spring upstairs which is very clean. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station, so it's easy to find. Plus, there are three supermarkets right outside, which is super convenient.

Good location and good buffet breakfast! Front desk staff is superb as well! Room size is small but is clean!
The room was clean, tidy, and quiet, with convenient transport links nearby. The breakfast spread was excellent and the surroundings were beautiful. Next time I'm in Osaka, I'll definitely choose a high-floor room again to enjoy the panoramic city views overlooking Shinsaibashi.
I had such an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn Express Osaka City Centre and would absolutely stay here again when visiting Osaka. From the moment I arrived for check-in until the day I departed, the staff were truly phenomenal. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and professional, which made the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. One small detail that really stood out to me was the...
Why did they give us a room on the 14th floor? For our entire 3-day stay, we were the only Chinese guests, and the room was so small we couldn't even open our luggage. The service wasn't as warm as the Holiday Inn Tokyo. Even though I'm an IHG member, they didn't register my membership when I showed my card, nor did they tell us there was a coffee machine on the 3rd floor. Breakfast on the 2nd floor...
I've stayed at this hotel many times. It's always clean and the breakfast is great.
The room was small but very clean, perfect for one adult and one child. It's close to the subway station and Shinsaibashi is nearby, making it super convenient for shopping. Since it's a special time, the hotel wasn't very busy. We had a late flight, and they kindly offered us a late checkout.

InterContinental Osaka by IHG, Osaka1 / 26High rating
9.2
Osaka, 3-60, Ofuka-cho Kita-ku (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel isn't right in the heart of Umeda, but on the upside, it's much quieter. It's about a 10-minute walk to Hankyu and a 15-minute walk to Hanshin, which is totally acceptable. The room was really spacious for Osaka standards, and we had a very comfortable stay. There's also an amazing yakitori place nearby called Matsuri that's a must-try!
The InterContinental Osaka is, without a doubt, the best hotel I've ever stayed in when it comes to service. The housekeeping is virtually perfect; even the toiletries and skincare products on the bathroom counter are artfully arranged. The hotel's location is excellent – you step right out and start shopping. Plus, the rooms are incredibly spacious. A huge thumbs up!
Great location, and the room had a fantastic view and was very spacious. It's hard to find such a large room in Osaka, so I'm very satisfied.
The hotel's location is excellent, with great transportation links to all areas, making it convenient to get anywhere. The room is also very spacious, especially for Japan. However, the breakfast was just average and not very varied. Overall, it was decent, and I would consider staying at the Intercontinental again if the price is right next time.
Excellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so dining, drinking, and shopping...
The room was spacious with a great view. It's about an 8-minute walk to Umeda Hankyu Department Store. We didn't book breakfast, but there's a semi-buffet breakfast place on the first floor of the mall downstairs that was really good. The room layout was bright, spacious, and stylish.

This is my third time booking here, and the location is unbeatable! It's so convenient to get anywhere. The drugstore downstairs even has some items that feel cheaper than Don Quijote! You can pop down and compare for yourselves.
Hotel beside subway.. very convenient. Outside quiet as it is a station away from the umeda area.. nice place to stay m good hotel..
Overall, this hotel performs well and is a solid choice for business accommodation. In terms of facilities, the rooms are on the more compact side for a business hotel, and the air conditioning only offers fan speed adjustment. However, all equipment is functioning properly and meets basic usage needs. Hygiene is well-maintained, with no noticeable issues found. The surrounding area is very convenient...
The hotel's location is excellent; it's just across a small street from an elevator entrance to Higobashi Subway Station, making subway travel incredibly convenient. For a single room, it's quite spacious – I could even open up my 28-inch suitcase. Plus, the hotel's decor feels quite new overall. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka.
This is a great hotel. Check-in, getting around, and check-out are all very convenient. The hotel has excellent facilities, consistently good as always. Downstairs, there's a buffet and a duty-free drugstore, and there are all sorts of restaurants nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk to Umeda and the airport bus stop. Superb!
The hotel's location is decent, quite close to the subway station. However, be aware that the subway line going towards Umeda leads to Nishi-Umeda, which is still quite a distance from Umeda Station itself. The room was small, and the bathroom was tiny. The main issue was that the toilet faced a wall, and due to the close proximity, it was very awkward after using the facilities. They don't provide...

Hotel staffs are very helpful. I love the location of this hotel. Not far from attractions, cozy vibe. Room size is bigger than other standard rooms(of other hotels). There is a nice coffee shop near the hotel. Overall I recommend this. 🫶
Really enjoyed our stay. Location was very convenient. Room and the hotel lobby were very clean.
This is already my third stay here, and it's incredibly convenient! There are two 24-hour supermarkets nearby, and you can even walk to Shinsaibashi. Plus, there's a free drink bar on the second floor of the hotel!
Was such an amazing hotel! I would highly recommend this and return! My husband and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon and was astounded at the cleanliness and hospitality of the place. The room was clean and the location wasn't too far from the Umeda shopping district on foot. The price was reasonable, and they even stored our luggage for us when we arrived early. The staff were also quite friendly. We bought a lot of things, so we sorted the packaging bags (paper, plastic, etc.) and left them neatly in the room. We noticed other rooms also had various packaging sorted and placed...
The hotel is overall OK, nothing that outright fails. However carpet is a bit worn. Pillow is not the usual medium soft fluffy type, some kind of beads inside, which me and my wife are not used to. The spare bed i slept on was too soft and gave me a bit of backache. All said, for the price, is what you can expect.
The hotel is just steps from Nakatsu Station, with a convenience store right next door. The location is excellent, the room was impressively spacious, clean, and quiet. Front desk staff were friendly and attentive. A pleasantly surprising stay overall.
The hotel is new and a large, reputable establishment. The service is warm and attentive, and the rooms are well-equipped and very clean. Although the rooms are small, they are well-designed and perfectly functional. The location is convenient; it's a 200-meter walk to the subway station. Shopping is also easy, with the core Umeda shopping district just an 800-meter walk away, plus many convenience...
The location is fantastic, with plenty of options for dining, drinking, and shopping nearby. If you're staying in Umeda, I highly recommend it. It's also super convenient for airport transfers; the Hankyu Hotel stop for the airport bus to Kansai International Airport is only about a ten-minute walk away.
The location is great, just one subway stop from Umeda and very close to the station, probably within 300 meters. The hotel is a large building, feeling like a business-style hotel, but the rooms are a bit dated. In Japan, it's a case of 'small but perfectly formed,' with quite comprehensive facilities. Overall, considering the location, it feels like a good value for money option.

The room was cleaned every three days, perfect for guests who prefer minimal disturbance. Overall, it was simple, comfortable, and good value for money.
The location is great, the hotel is clean and convenient, and the service is good.
Very friendly hotel with good service .mainly the receptionist.room is clean and breakfast is good with a lot of choices
The hotel environment is really nice, I'd say it's on the higher end for a Smile Hotel. The front desk service was excellent, very attentive, and they offer luggage storage. You can get fresh towels daily, and housekeeping comes every three days. It's also very close to the subway station.
I would like to sincerely thank 李 and 伏见 for their efforts in coordinating with various parties and helping me successfully retrieve my lost bag from the Shinkansen lost and found centre. Even though the reception was busy with other travelers and this wasnt part of their job, they still took the time to help me. Because of their help, I was able to enjoy the rest of my Japan trip.

Osaka, 2-16-15, Doushin (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed at APA Hotel Osaka Tenma for three nights and had a very positive experience overall. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for a city hotel. The bed was comfortable with crisp linens, and the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep in despite the city lights. The room amenities were excellent: the air conditioner worked quietly, the TV had a good selection of channels, and...
It's close to Tenma Station, making it convenient for sightseeing and travel. The Tenma Station shopping street is the longest in Japan and has many unique shops, making it a fun place to visit any time of the day. Personally, I prefer walking around Dotonbori or Tsutenkaku.
Although I was late in checking in, I was grateful that you contacted me and dealt with the matter courteously. My friend and I had booked different methods and at different times, but on the day of the trip we were given rooms next to each other, so we were able to enjoy our trip with peace of mind.
Enjoyed the public bath and also strategic location
I've stayed at different APA hotels and have had mixed experiences. This time around, I wanted to stay at one with a sentō, which has an ok size but was overall nice. However, the quality of the bed was lacking: the mattress felt like it was coming apart and not providing enough support on one side, and quite hard on the other, and the pillows were terrible. Having said that, the hotel is nice, location...
I was really impressed with this hotel. The beds were semi-firm and comfortable, the location was convenient, but most of all, I loved the breakfast! I'm a big fan of curry, even though it's not something I typically order as breakfast food. But APA offered a really great selection of naan and different curries - including different levels of spice - that convinced me. The chicken tikka served on...

Located right next to two subway lines, super convenient for getting around. I stayed three nights; the house wasn't cleaned, but they provided towels daily, left at the door. Bottled water was only provided once. There's a Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby, and a super popular ramen shop behind the house—there's always a long queue even after 6 PM…
This is the oldest hotel I've ever stayed in, with no view whatsoever. There was only a small, opaque, outward-opening window. The central air conditioning system was incredibly basic, and the interior was extremely outdated! On Saturday, I saw two men...

I booked five double rooms and one single room. The front desk staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean. I'd definitely book again if I have the opportunity. Thank you!
The hotel is well located, although not near the city center, as it has a subway station right outside. In just two stops you're in Umeda, which is convenient for catching the train to Nara or Kyoto. The location is very strategic, just a short walk from the station. Dotonbori is easily accessible with only one train ride. The room is small, but it is comfortable and sufficient for two people.
Everything was fine except for the small room.
Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was great. The location is really excellent – within 100 meters, you'll find a subway station, convenience stores, coffee shops, and a mall. There are also several restaurants nearby. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, and there's a Cainiao Express point nearby where you can send packages.

This old hotel is well-maintained and offers a convenient check-in and check-out process. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage at the hotel. The location is great, right above the subway station. Facilities: They do feel a bit old, but they're complete. The room size is quite cramped, though, but acceptable considering the price. Nice place to stay. Location is very convenient. There is a good supermarket next door. Rooms are clean. Furniture is a bit old and used, but that's ok. The bed is extremely comfortable. I think this is one of the best beds that I've slept on in hotels. The place is huge and many people stay in the hotel, so maybe number of amenities like laundry machines is not enough for such a big hotel.

Extra good location near Dotonbori (5min walk). Lot of cafe, shops, money exchange, subway and railway stations, etc. Perfect for active travellers. Small rooms but it is normal for Japan. Strictly recomended! P.S. Request for quiet rooms during booking. Rooms in front part of building are noisy.
The location was excellent, conveniently situated near Dotonbori and just a few steps away from the iconic Glico Man billboard. Our family of three booked a room with two double beds. The hotel is clean and tidy, and its location inside Shin-Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the Shinkansen, other train lines, and the subway!
Location is excellent. The staff were helpful and very accommodating. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Osaka.
it locates inside the railway Station and so it is super convenient for people travelling with public transport. clean room and good facilities.
The hotel was conveniently located near the Shinkansen station, so it was easy to transfer from one city to another. The area outside the city is more of a business/residential district so there is not quite a lot to do at night. The room was clean, although a bit small, our 23kg luggage could barely fit when we opened them. But otherwise, it was nice and clean.
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right inside the station. It's directly above JR Shin-Osaka Station, yet the soundproofing is excellent; you barely hear any noise, ensuring a good night's sleep. Highly recommended.
Excellent for couples, decently small sized hotel room. Perfect location, just right outside of the Shinkansen gantries. One down side is they don't have coin operated washing and drying machine, you'll have to use their laundry service over the counter.

They even provide a free drink (alcohol, juice, coffee, and many other options) for every guest. The cleanliness is excellent, and since there’s no bathtub, the bathroom has more space. The location is one metro stop away...
i liked this hotel a lot, also the stuff was very nice!! location is good, near the train station what made our stay 10 times better. room was clean and the bed was beyond comfortable
Staff were really friendly and helpful! The bed was comfortable and the room is a good size by Japan's room size standards. Our stay was very comfortable! The only thing to take note of is that they don't store your luggage for you for free. They charge around 1,000 yen per luggage. They do have lockers which you can store your luggage for free. But if the lockers are full, then you will have to pay...
This hotel was really great. Location is easy to reach by public transport and it’s in a quiet neighbourhood walking distance to all attractions in Umeda. Clean and staff is friendly too. Recommend!
This is my second stay at this hotel, and it's really good. The room has excellent soundproofing and the windows are well-insulated. Complimentary soft drinks are a nice touch here, and the lobby doubles as a small bar.
