There are hostel rooms and the issue with the hostel is there's only one key for the dorm's door. And the shower booth has no lock, it's only a glass door, so each time someone showers they most likely would lock the main door and so no one can use the toilets at the same time. There...

Location was near the airport. Hotel was nice as there was swimming pool, sauna and massage centre. Room was a bit out-dated and basic. The air-conditioning (AC) was not working very well and it was a warm night. I visited Almaty, the old capital of Kazakhstan, for a day. My flight arrived super early, around 2 AM, so I didn't have anywhere to go. The room had a great view and was clean, the only issue was the lack of an private bathroom. The owner was also very nice, and it was easy to communicate with fellow Chinese guests. However, the price was affordable. I highly recommend it if you're not on a business trip and it's your first time in Almaty.

A perfect place to stay in Almaty. Location is not far from many landmark such as the cathedral, green bazaar, and Kok Tobe. Everything else was fine. It's near the Green Bazaar and also pretty close to the church. But what's with that tiny bed? It felt like I was going to fall off at any moment. We stayed in a yurt, which was very comfortable and warm for November, and the breakfasts were wonderfully delicious. There are also places to walk around and explore. However, the ski slopes are quite close to the yurts, which might be a disturbance for those who want to sleep in.

Great place to stay for a holiday. On the 7th floor, i stayed at a 2-room apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a washing machine. I really appreciated the comfort and quality. Moreover, free Internet and access to Spa were as a cherry on the top of the cake. All this was just for 40 euro per night, including a breakfast.
