Globales Torrenova in Magaluf

We have just returned from 7 days at this hotel which we booked on a whim as a budget bit of sun. I'm not sure if we just got the short end of the straw but our stay was only positive by meeting some lovely people. Our room was on the 4th floor and had a view over the pool. Unfortunately it wasn't very clean to begin with and never improved throughout the week. The blankets over the beds had stains and marks on and were plucked and creased. There were hairs etc all over. There was also 3 single beds in the room despite me emailing and asking for a double room. This made space tight. The bath in the bathroom was scary and had peeled inside so standing in it was the only option. However the shower did not have anything to hold it, very odd as the hook thing was so high up it was never going to fit it anyway. This made showering very difficult. The bottom bit of the shower screen also fell off everytime you moved the screen. We also had neighbours from hell for the first 5 days, 3am yelling and screaming till 6am. Like I say some people had no noise so maybe we lucked out here and to be fair we did expect noise but not quite at those levels and for so long. We were surprised they weren't asked to be quiet in all honesty because the staff at the hotel are great and deserve praise (maybe not our cleaning lady). Sheets were never changed, floors not swept but we did get clean towels and bin emptied daily. We didn't have to pay the 100 e each deposit which was good but a safe is 38e plus 10e in cash payable back when you leave. The drinks at the bar are good but expensive in comparison to their sister hotels where 2 Pepsi are the same price as 1 at this hotel. Bar food is good. Swimming pool is excellent and very clean all around beds etc. Sun gets the pool from sort of 11am onwards which is great. Position of hotel is good for going out and about. Downstairs lobby is lovely and clean as is the bar. Breakfast was hit and miss. Small selection of British cooked items, cooked meats and cheese, yoghurt and cereals etc. Coffee wasn't too bad but juice awful. We never left hungry though so thumbs up. Lovely young lad at breakfast too. All staff were super polite. Would we return no but as a budget hotel it's not half bad.
