Good food, a lot of activities organised by the hotel helpful staff and nice heated inside swimming pool. Also nice location in walking distance from the beach.
Highly recommended. A well-oiled machine!
A nice lazy holiday for me. Everything perfect. Nice and very good staff (chapeau), nice food. It was fun for me to see that I was the only foreigner between all the Spanish speaking guests. I enjoyed it very much.
Amazing and impressive hotel!!! Also of outmost importance, AMAZING PEOPLE. IRENE was extremely KIND AND POLITE really HELPFUL and explained to me all the necessary details, everything about the hotel and the area when I arrived!!!! But most importantly she made me feel comfortable as well as feel this hotel like my second home and treated me with a smile!!! Amazing customer service!!! WELL DONE!!...
Rooms were fine and comfortable missed not having tea and coffee facilities in the room. But otherwise nice and spacious. We had a room that slept 4 and had one of the biggest balcony's in the hotel overlooking the pool. Food was good we were half board breakfast was ok have everything you would expect. Evening meal was lovely good choice and always fresh. Drinks were served at the table. We...
excellent conditions. Extraordinary staff, always available and friendly. great rooms, windows difficult to close. varied buffet every day. few sun loungers for the hotel capacity. Swimming pool should also be bigger. We really enjoyed spending the week there. excellent animation
park hotel, 18 euros per day. ca outside red zone 7 euros per week, green zone 5 euros per day
Very good Hotel with a wide range of services and activities to do inside it. The food is good, where you have different dishes for all wishes and tastes. Everyday you have an after dinner show, where you can enjoy and laugh with the performance of Ernesto. You can also participate in the show. Definitely, was an experience which we'll repeat.

A beautiful hotel with a wonderful view. Breakfast overlooking the sea. Our room also featured a balcony with sea views. Excellent food and fantastic service.
Great hotel, nice and clean got everything you need. We had breakfast included in our stay and what a great selection they put out every morning from your full English breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, fresh fruit and loads more!
Room was lovely, couldn’t fault it and a great sea view.
Would definitely stay again if we return to benalmadena!
Clean hotel, friendly and attentive staff, direct access to the beach
Nice and clean hotel right at the beach with lovely facilities
This is a hotel I went to for business purposes. It is convenient because it includes a buffet meal. The facilities are a bit outdated and need maintenance. The people are friendly.
Wonderful hotel, stunning views from the balcony, good breakfast, caring staff

I absolutely love staying at this hotel. I'd rank it along with the best hotels I've ever stayed in, however, this is much, much cheaper. Service, fantastic. Food superb. Staff superb. Cleanliness superb. Rooms, fabulous. Facilities, top drawer. There is nothing I can fault. Fortunately, I'll be back again this year! Happy Days. Ian Bullock, UK
Room was clean but dated. Shower was the best i have experienced in a hotel. Pillows were too soft for me but others may like. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Hotel needs modernization but i would definitely stay there again.
We headed over for a European Track day and this is the second time we’ve been and it is an absolutely fantastic hotel, it’s kept impeccably clean and the staff are so very nice and welcoming and what’s more there is nothing they won’t do to make your stay and experience even better. This is the second time here and Im already looking forward to returning next year.
Stayed for a No Limits track event at Andalucia Circuit. The hotel was great. The rooms were clean. The food was decent. The staff were cheerful and pleasant. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you.
We stayed for one week full board. Everything was perfect. All the staff we met were friendly and courteous. A special mention goes to the maintenance men who were replacing the large glass door. Also to the dinning room staff, especially Bernardo and the lady with glasses who helped our son regarding vegan food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Ok hotel, nothing special. Basic room. We had B&B basis, breakfast was nice. No tea/coffee making facilities. No English channels on tv. Very, very quiet in November. Irish bar & Italian restaurant closed for the season as were the on site shops. Restaurants close by also closed. A walk of 20-30 mins closer to be centre of Mojácar had cafes, shops, bars & restaurants.

Stayed for a week at the Marina Mar and whilst it was a pleasant enough stay I wouldn’t rate the hotel a 4 star. Rooms cleaned every day, fabulous powerful shower. My room overlooked the main pool (3008). Quite large balcony areas. Plenty of sunbeds all around the main pool areas, no issues getting an available bed. Do take your own towels though as they are not provided. Some beds looked rather grubby...
Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms but the air conditioning could be better. The swimming pools are great but the location to bars/restaurants/shops is not great
We've been coming to the Marina Mar and Marina playa hotels for 20 years now and cannot fault anything! The staff, the food, the service top notch especially if you're a family. A big shout out to Wally in the cafeteria, Juan Carlos and Reyes in the animation team, Maribel and Antonio in the restaurant, just to name a few, but cannot fault any of the team at the Marina Mar. See you next year without...
€5 gym fee per session
Charging €5 to use the (empty) gym is a crappy thing to do.
Loud “entertainment” till midnight each night.
A dated hotel, pools are saltwater, no entertainment in English but rooms and towels clean ever day, breakfast has a great selection, free parking although sometimes very very full. Plenty of sun beds especially between 15:00-17:00, siesta time, nothing much outside of hotel a bus or car trip to restaurants and bars, beaches close with lifeguards. In all a decent hotel if you are willing to drive
I thought the service in the hotel was absolutely first class. All the members of staff that I had any dealing swith were very helpful and very kind to me, my wife, and my two daughters.
It is good to see that the traditionla values of customer care are very much alive in this hotel.

We have just been to Garbí Costa Luz and had a great experience in this lovely place with stunning views and super friendly staff! Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff , our second visit and we came here after moving into our Cadiz home only to have no electricity.. so this was a great excuse to come back and enjoy the pool and the amazing hospitality that comes with this wonderful hotel
We loved this hotel not because it's the type of hotel we usually like but because it isn't. It's a big family hotel with lots of large uncool folk lounging round the pool. Our family liked it here very much. Nice hotel with a stunning view and one of the best beaches which is a three-minute walk. Wild rabbits living in the bushes in front of the hotel kept our kid happy.

Just returned from this Hotel,.. the positives. Good value for money, decent food, in a great position! Beach just a short walk across the main road. Good facilities. The Negatives... Wood Veneering around the pool... Treacherous!! Sinking and lifting all over the place need's removing pronto! Also I think the flooring in my room on the 5th floor also creating a big problem.. as in ANTS!! What a Shame...
We enjoyed the hotel. I must say that the staff and team were excellent. They have helped sort out our little queries . Cleanliness is perfect . One never get this sort of service in the UK. Half board is a good choice. Food excellent. Value for money first class. Nice entertainment evenings. And even a sangria making session! It is so much nicer to come to Spain than France. My first trip to Spain...
Had a lovely stay with my sister at the hotel. The staff was really nice. Omar with his (magic) tricks. Carlo(s) always in for a chat. And one of the members (unfortunately I don’t know his name) could even speak Dutch :)! The location was perfect, the rooms were clean and the food was diverse and warm.
I had the opportunity to visit this hotel for an evening, joining my sister for dinner while she was a guest. While I didn't stay overnight, I was able to get a good feel for the facilities, the food, and the entertainment on offer.
The first thing that struck me was the hotel's aesthetic. The complex is very clean and well-presented, but the decor is definitely a throwback to the late 1980s or early...

I've given a 4 purely because of location - the hotel is a 5 for me it's stunning. I booked before reading the previous reviews and I was a bit alarmed when I did! Having stayed in many 4* hotels I would say that this is more 3 star. We booked a double sea view room. There are no te-coffee making facilities in the room but you can hire a kettle for 25Euro’s… you literally get a kettle, had to go back down and ask for cups which have still not arrived. Room very basic very tired looking in fact the desk almost fell apart when a chair nudged it . Very noisy. Dreadful pillows. Food awful, cold, repetitive, too busy, no organisation of eating times. If you are a football fan just live at this hotel! As it locates nearby the home stadium of the Spanish football club Real Betis and fortunately I met some of the players as they lived at there before their home night game!! Hotel staff were very nice who were patient to answer your questions and suggest some tourist spots to you. Gym is quite small but overall was a good living experience
Good property, plus free parking just outside the hotel
They allowed us to do an early check in. Quite a small room that was not too bright. No kettle so we had to go down to ask for one. They asked us to go to the Hotel's restaurant to get one. Everything was clean, well-located, and the facilities were great. I'd definitely stay again.
* Hotel outside of the main city area, but good connections with a bus (every 10min)
* Hotel rooms were Big and comfy
* Shower design is a bit suboptimal, as there is no door to close and it is nearly impossible to avoid that water spills out in the floor... even by being extremely careful.

Great Location, typically spanish
The hotel catered very much for the Spanish, by that I mean the times of the restaurants - breakfast 8 - 11am, lunch 1.30 - 3.30pm and dinner 8 - 11. So if you are an early riser or have children ! We have lived in Spain so didn't bother us too much.
Pools also didn't open until 11am which was disappointing as it was so hot.

A decent budget stay overall. For the price paid it’s fair value, with entertainment closer to a 4★ standard, but the food is more typical 3★ – adequate rather than exciting, and guests who don’t eat pork may find protein choices limited. The hotel was nice, but the food at the buffet was almost the same every day. It would have been better with more variety and a larger selection, especially for a 4-star hotel. Upon entering the hotel you are made to feel very welcome.
The view from the reception area looks straight out to the Atlantic ocean with acces to the outside terrace area.
Staff are very well trained and polite at all times. Good selection of food in the restaurant and here again the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Rooms adequate and well serviced by the staff. Cristina who us in charge of accommodation...
I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend with the family and overall had a nice experience. The hotel is pleasant, with clean facilities and helpful staff particularly at the restaurant. I especially appreciated the calm atmosphere on both Saturday and Monday—it was a good setting for a quiet break by the pool.
However, on Sunday, the experience was quite different. The hotel allowed a large group...
We booked 2 rooms in May half term. Be advised that if your holiday package entails you landing at Seville airport, it is hour and a half transfer minimum and will be cheaper to hire a car for the week than to pay for a transfer. We arrived around midnight and had to park in the hotel's car park. This is 10 euros per day which is very reasonable but if you can get a space on the road, you can park...
A superb hotel. Often underrated. It is relatively isolated so a car is probably a necessity. The people, the location, the beaches, the hotel, the walks are all excellent. We have stayed there several times in the past 3 years and will continue to go back. While there is a midday buffet, there is no snack menu though. Sunsets to die for

Do you want to stay here….YES. If you want to know why then read on it’s all very positive but one of the best hotels for a short break that I’ve had the pleasure of staying in.
From the minute I arrived, checking was quick, easy and staff were ultra helpful. Right down to offering us a free umbrella as it was raining.
The room was spacious, immaculate and had everything you’d expect, plus more…...
Hotel is incredible, very clean and modern. Location is perfect, only short walk to the marina. Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. I have to shout out Francisco Javier, he was super friendly, happy and brightened the start of our day up at breakfast! We are 100% returning again in August!
We had a wonderful stay at the Occidental hotel and truly enjoyed the welcoming, child-friendly atmosphere. The facilities are excellent for families and it made our stay very comfortable and relaxing.
All of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile, which made a big difference to our experience. We would especially like to extend our sincere thanks to Francisco...
We had a fantastic stay at Occidental Puerto Banús.
The location couldn’t be better, just a few steps from the marina, the main square, and El Corte Inglés, which made everything incredibly convenient.
The hotel feels modern, fresh, and very clean. Our room was new, spotless, and comfortable for the whole family. We stayed with our two children and it worked perfectly.
The kids especially loved...
Beautiful hotel with nice clean and cozy rooms. Our room had a huge bed and everything was clean and modern. The staff at the reception, the breakfast restaurant and the La Dolce Vita restaurant were great, super professional and polite. Me and my wife had a great vacation here. There is a lot of places to visit and see nearby, many restaurants, the beautiful and luxury port and a lot of shopping options...

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, with great quality and variety.
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the balcony offered a beautiful sea view — a real highlight. The hotel’s location is perfect: just a very...
Stayed at IPV and overall had a really pleasant experience. The place is spotless, and the sea view is genuinely lovely, the kind you don’t get tired of. The whole hotel has a classic, slightly old-world charm. The only downside is that some of the furniture, like the sofas and beds, feels a bit dated. Maybe they’re keeping it that way to match the classic style, but a bit of updating wouldn’t hurt...
Lovely hotel, well maintained and clean. The rooms are very spacious including the bathroom. Plenty of choice for your breakfast. The location I did give 5 stars, only because it's quiet and right on the beach. It can be a walk into the centre, probably 10-15mins but it is a lovely walk across the bridge. I believe if you had a hotel closer to the centre it can be a bit noisier, personal choice I suppose...
Breakfast was very good
I felt the hotel was a bit tired
Our bedroom 2214 was ok could have been much better
In the shower was black mould . There is no excuse for that all you need is a mildew spray …
We are on the final night of our short break and we have been very happy with this hotel. 1st floor of Mijas part of it, sea view with terrace. Right on the sea front, lovely quiet hotel even though it was busy. Beds are so comfy, rooms spotless and cleaned daily. Breakfast -wow, from usual cold section, to freshly cooked crepes and churros, hot items, breads and pastries galore
Half an hour walk from...
