Aurico Kata Resort & Spa in Kata

This hotel is perfect for a couples' getaway. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to Kata Beach, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel itself has a peaceful and elegant ambiance. The oversized pool is beautiful and well-maintained, and enjoying a drink by the pool in the evening is incredibly romantic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; choosing a direct pool access room offers even more privacy. The staff are warm and attentive, the breakfast is delicious, and the spa experience is very relaxing. Overall, it offers great value for money and is an ideal choice for a romantic escape.

Love the location of this hotel as it is situated off the main road, which tends to be rather noisy with many tourists from evening to night. You definitely can have a good night sleep in this hotel. The front desk staffs are very helpful and polite too. Even though it is located off the main road, it is still very convenient to move around. Just a 7 minutes walk from the left side of the hotel entrance will take you to the main road and a 2 minutes walk from the right side will bring you to a small night market where it is quieter, easier to find a seating place and not that hot. The weather during end March is very hot and humid during the day, at night it is better, not so hot but still humid. We love this place, will definitely consider staying here again if we are coming back to Kata/Karon area in Phuket.

A suggestion for the hotel management to consider, can you install a ceiling fan or wall fan at the balcony. We love sitting there in the morning for a cup of coffee and at night when we are back from dinner/supper with a nice cold drink or beer. This will definitely help to keep guests cool during the hot months in Phuket.

Better than I expected. The bellboy and the front desk staff were quite friendly and enthusiastic. My room was on the 3rd floor, in the middle section, and I was very happy with the view. It was also quite close to the beach. The only downside is that the price was a bit high, over 700.

Had a great time at the Resort. It is a good location. The staff were amazing. They were always very helpful and friendly. The pool was fantastic and very refreshing. The rooms was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had everything you would want.

Hotel is very beautiful In terms of all the hardware, building and facilities. The pool is amazing. It somehow feels a-bit of lacking from a 5-star in the small details eg toiletries, mattress and bedding, cleanliness of the room can be improved.

Room was very spacious, very clean and modern. Nice design, comfortable bed, all amenities working.
View over the pool was nice.
Walking distances within the hotel are quite long, not good for people that have issues with that.

We loved the breakfast buffet, which was a brunch with loads of hot options like a soup and salad bar and huge variety of hot savory dishes (Asian and western food) and highly recommend booking it with the room rate.
Only they didn’t have any milk alternatives which wasn’t great for me as someone allergic to dairy.
Coffee wasn’t good, but two 7 eleven just around the corner for your daily dose of iced coffee 😋

Pool super clean and pretty. Layout is cool, temperature is great, enough chairs available, swim up bar with music and reasonably priced drinks.

Location was convenient for us, not too loud but loads of Restaurants, bars, night market and shops around the corner. If you wanna spend time at the beach rather than the pool I would recommend a hotel that’s closer to the beach, even though the Aurich has a free shuttle service to the beach and it’s not that far to walk (feels longer in the heat or with kids though)

We recommend as a great stay for couples and if we come back to Phuket will certainly book again :)

Room 1101 faces the gym and is right at the very end of the pool. Room 1105 onwards has a scenic view nearby. I guess these are considered end-of-hallway rooms. The pool water was quite cold. My expectations were too high; I found the direct pool access room to be just so-so. It's not as good as the Midea concept, more suitable for adults, and just average for families with kids. Pools without sea views should offer more activities. It felt a bit monotonous. The Midea concept has a deep water area, and the water temperature is very warm. The orchid slide is exciting, and the water is also warm. The Niranapa pool is too small; it would be much better if it were bigger. The Pullman Phuket Arcadia Karon Beach Resort has a much better vacation vibe, though it's a long walk to find food and a 7-Eleven.

The room was new and clean, but a bit damp. We booked a swim-up room but were assigned to one of the end rooms, which seems to be a common experience according to other reviews. Coincidentally, our neighbors were also Chinese. From a privacy perspective, we actually liked it, as we weren't directly facing the main pool. So, the end room wasn't really an issue for us.

The location is excellent, right in Kata. It's incredibly convenient with everything you need nearby. The room type I specifically requested via email was fantastic. Upon arrival, I was guided by a staff member, and the service was very satisfying. Getting around was easy, and I really miss it there.
