The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. The pool was great, but the other facilities were more akin to what you'd find in a hostel.

I stayed at building A which overlooks the pool. The building is very new and very clean. AC, wifi and shower work perfect. Very secure place for a solo female traveler. Short walk to restaurants, the river and a local market. The staff is so friendly and kind.

The soundproofing is terrible. I could clearly hear people walking around, talking, and plugging/unplugging things in other rooms. The room hygiene was poor; it hadn't been cleaned. After calling housekeeping, they just did a perfunctory sweep of the floor, picking up some hair, but didn't mop.

Prime location in old city, close to chiang mai international airport. Didn't managed to use the jacuzzi, would try if I have sufficient time. The shower head seems quite rusty which caused my skin and face to itch. Overall good stay, would stay again if the shower head is well maintained.

The chana place hotel is a really affordable hotel. The room is spacious and clean, the location of the hotel is great, it has everything you need (7/11, pharmacy, great restaurants nearby, laundry services etc). I stayed at this hotel because of its good location near Royal Park Rajapruek. The staff was willing to help and quickly fixed the water pressure issue within a couple of hours and overall the staff was okay throughout the stay. The hotel itself feels old which might be due to its traditional style and the gym and spa areas also look quite outdated with the spa feeling a bit uncomfortable.

I've stayed at the Heritage Hotel next door before, and this time I chose this one. It offers great value for money, and the price is good. However, the room lighting is a bit dim. They have a gym and a swimming pool. If you want breakfast, it's 99 Thai Baht per person.
