Kyoto Great Hotel, Chiang Mai City1 / 14
9.1
Chiang Mai City, 91/3 moo.14 (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is excellent, the room is very neat, clean, and quiet, and the staff's service is also very good!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely Japanese-inspired design. It's located near the back gate of Chiang Mai University, making it super convenient to walk to the night market there. The hotel is set back from the main road, so it's generally very quiet. Even though the water pump was quite noisy at night, the staff were really proactive and helpful in trying to resolve the issue.
Our third stays it's a bit different from our last year visiting however each room were occupied. During our 2 nights stays there's no one cleaning our room whichever we glad they didn't as our pet disliked a vacuum sound A room is not a sound proof therefore each time guests walk passed by a room we can clearly hear everything so as our dog who barks upon hearing a strange noises. If anyone wants...
The hotel is an 8/10, but for this price, it's a perfect score! 1. It's quiet. Even though the hotel room door isn't soundproof, the location is great. My second-floor room was very quiet, apart from the occasional dog barking and laughter from the pool. 2. Excellent location, just a 2-minute walk from the Chiang Mai back gate night market. 3. The room is good. The only minor drawback is the poorly...
The room does not have proper windows. Instead, there is a large glass wall facing the common walking path, and the building is very close to a low-rise condominium. Due to the lack of privacy, the curtains need to remain closed at all times, which makes the room feel rather dark and enclosed. At THB 1,700 per night without breakfast, the room rate feels somewhat overpriced. The location is convenient...
The room was great, the price was right, and it was very clean with good service. I'll definitely be back next time! You can also swim, which is perfect for couples or families. I really, really loved it!

Sleep Mai Chiang Mai Airport Lifestyle Hotel, Chiang Mai City1 / 30

Chiang Mai City, 285 Mahidol Road, Chang Klan (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent value for money. Hotel is near to the airport and had everything we need for a night's stay: comfortable room, free flow coffee at the reception area, great service staff, good breakfast with varied choices of food, and complimentary ride to the airport.
The hotel's location is pretty good. Even though it's not directly in the Old City, all the day tours offer pickup and drop-off, so it doesn't feel out of the way. It's also not far from Central Plaza. The hotel provides coffee and snacks, and while the breakfast selection isn't huge, it's enough to fill you up. Honestly, for this price, it's hard to beat the value for money.
stayed here for a night while on the road. It’s a practical choice ,easy check-in, decent parking, and acceptable cleanliness. However, the room felt a bit worn and could use better maintenance for the showers. recommended for a short stay in cnx
Great stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly.
Decent hotel really close to the airport. Nothing particulary interesting around and it takes a 10-15 minute drive to get to most places of interest
It was a good hotel, cleaning staff was very friendly. However location is not that good.

This hotel is very clean and it's located very strategically close to everything you want! I had the window room and they said the road noise was loud but to me it's aceptable and I can sleep like a baby still. Good hotel for its price!
Clean, cozy and comfortable. The room is not super big but we managed with 2 big luggage. Sink is in the bedroom not the bathroom but it’s alright as we had a small tiny balcony as well. Close to a jazz bar that’s always filled with people and walking distance to Tha phae gate. No breakfast but light snacks provided in the morning with good enough coffee. Snacks provided at the lobby throughout the...
The room was great and cozy, i specifically enjoyed the temperature of water in the shower since not every hotel has a consistent hot water. The lounge zone on the first floor is super nice and snacks as well. Perfect location to investigate old city.
This hotel is located in the heart of Chiang Mai's Old City, right by the moat. It's a charming and comfortable place. The lobby downstairs doubles as a cafe, offering complimentary snacks and coffee! The room itself is on the smaller side, but very cozy. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy since it's facing the street. Overall, I'd say it offers good value for money.
Nice touches with ample water fruits . With a coffee and tea menu in the morning Rooms are well appointed.
This hotel is ideally located near the North Gate of the Old City, very close to the night market, and not far from Tha Phae Gate. The hotel offers complimentary coffee and snacks from morning to afternoon. However, the price is a bit on the higher side compared to other hotels.

This hotel has a very resort-like atmosphere! The swimming pool is heated, which is great!
The hotel environment is good, but the facilities and breakfast are average
Antique hotel with nice decoration. Pool with jacuzzi and 1.4 meters depth which suits me a lot. Usually there are shades and enough couch to relax by the pool. Balcony is of good size. Rooms at 2/F have better views and more privacy than those on the G/F. Most people choose to stay on the G/F rooms as there is no elevator. Breakfast is a huge set with eggs/waffles to choose from.
The hotel is in a residential area not far from the ancient city, with a very good and quiet environment. The overall style is unique Lanna style. There are restaurants and cafes outside the road (3-5 minutes). There is also a market where locals go, which is very convenient for eating and buying fruits. The hotel has free buses to Changkang Road Night Market and Thapae Gate, which are convenient with...
A bit old but very clean. The hot spring pool in the middle is the highlight. The food is also good. It is suitable for leisure style. It is in a small alley and it takes more than ten minutes to walk to the night market.
I stayed in 3 hotels during my trip to Chiang Mai. This is the most satisfactory one. Although it is not located in the ancient city, the hotel also has a car that can be booked to take me to Tha Pae Gate and the night market every day. The Nalan-style garden courtyard, the swimming pool is not large but exquisite and has a heated massage pool. The room is very spacious and the bedding is very comfortable...

A hotel by the river, close to both the night market and Chinatown. The environment is very comfortable, and although it's a bit small, it has all the necessary facilities. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and have good English communication skills.
I saw some reviews online mentioning various issues, and even concerns about deposits, but my actual stay was really good. It's a bit old, but I see that as part of its local charm. The hotel actually has a great design overall, and there's even a pool. The only downsides were that the hotel parking lot is a bit small, and the back wall of the hotel was slightly damaged.
Smart and tidy hotel on the Ping River. Hotel was quiet and is a 25 minute walk to old city. 10 minutes walk away are several busy night markets and good access to restaurants and street food. Foo Bakery 100m away do a solid breakfast of an Americano and eggs on sourdough for 95baht. Small pool.
Walking distance to night market, next to 7-11. Facing the river.
Came to Chiang Mai for a marathon. After the race, I came here to relax. This hotel has a gym, which was great for stretching and relaxing! The room opened up to a clean swimming pool, and there's also a swing for some chill time.
This Is the best Place to stay, all the staff doing their job very well. The structure it's on a perfect human scale, not too big, and not too small, and have different way of movement inside the Building. This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I personally highly recommend it. Firstly, it's very close to the train station, and it's super convenient for getting around the city and reaching various attractions. What's even better is that besides convenience stores nearby, the hotel's breakfast is absolutely delicious and diverse. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Very helpful and friendly receptionists to call grab and massage appointments. And delicious breakfast.
Lovely traditional style hotel in old city. Extremely comfortable rooms. Super breakfast. Excellent helpful staff. The pool is small and in the he shade.
We stayed 2 nights in this gorgeous hotel, very nicely renovated heritage house with great indoor/outdoor spaces. The staff was so kind and prepared us a surprise for our anniversary. We also had welcome drinks, free lunch, and good breakfast! Room was quite small but very confortable bed. I would recommend to book a room toward the patios and not the road as it was a bit too bright and noisy at night...

The place was relaxing but alot of stuff abit too old need to take care more about the hotel. Apart from that, the rest are all very nice to stay.
This hotel, you can tell, was once unreal, but for whatever reason, it's dropped its standards. Staff are lovely and friendly, which is Thailand. The grounds need some TLC, and the place is a little bit shabby. No spa at this hotel; it closed in 2019, which was a disappointment to hear because I wanted to stay at a spa hotel. Overall, it's not a 5-star hotel. The 3-star rooms are great, and the...

The hotel and the service were phenomenal. The location is a little out of the way but the fabulous restaurant across the street makes up for that, a little bit. Overall the staff was great. Very helpful. The pool was great, kids love swimming. No restaurant on site, they did serve breakast, toast, jams, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. No other options available. Very quiet rooms, and cleaning service was very good. A refrigerator in the room. Would stay again.
The smiles of the staff and the fact that the market was close by were nice, but there was one thing that stuck out of the bed and it was a little dirty~~ I tried to tell the staff, but I forgot and just left~~

This hotel is very good for families, and those who rent cars. I came with my family of 5 pax and we booked the family + friends room (fitting 6 pax). Great place to stay with an amazing, friendly and helpful staff. We love it and keep up the good works. The hotel located in a great location, close to the Maya mall ,local food market etc. Amazing street food scene!!!Definitely be back to stay again for our cycling holiday with our bikes next time!!! Thank you again Vanilla residence Team🙏🏼
If you are a cyclist, this is the best hotel in Chiang Mai by miles. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, rooms are big and functional and you have DIY area for your bike as well as a proper bike cleaning facility.
Great set up for cyclists. Good location with 15min walk to Nimman restaurants and nightlife. Easy access for rides in any direction. Room serviced every day. Only complaint would be the noise other cyclists make when leaving for those early morning rides. Not the fault of the hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cycling holiday. I will return.

Excellent, I'll definitely come again!
The hotel is great – clean, with warm service. The breakfast is quite rich, and you can have coffee and fruit all day. There's a swimming pool, but it's very small. Nimman is right under the flight path, so if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to reconsider. However, there are no flights at night when you're trying to sleep.
The hotel is right in the old city, making it super convenient to get everywhere. One Nimman is just a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast was really good, and the environment is a peaceful oasis despite being in a lively area. It seems to attract a younger crowd. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

I was here with my girlfriend for about four days and loved everything about it. Rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the place overall was beautiful. We purchased morning breakfasts when we booked which we both felt was really good. Also worth mentioning that it's in a great location with easy access to a ton of fun stuff.
Enjoy a small and cozy hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. The room had a warm feeling to it, but stylish and modern still. Loved the courtyard where the pool is, and where breakfast is served. Location is excellent, we stayed over the weekend, so both Saturday and Sunday night markets were within walking distance of the hotel.
I really liked it. The rooms were clean and the atmosphere was nice. The staff took very good care of me. This is my second time in Chiang Mai, but my first time staying here. This hotel is the best I've ever experienced. The breakfast was excellent. I liked it very much.
Perfect for what we wanted. Room on 2nd floor accessible by stairs or elevator. Super clean. Good sized bathroom. Good water temperature and pressure. Great staff! Very helpful and respectful! We stayed at room 403 and the room was clean. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. I slept very well on all 4 nights. A very well maintained and tastefully appointed rooms in a, if you will, modern Lanna Style. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. A taxi to the Old City costs only around 20 yuan, and a walk around the moat is just over 6 kilometers.
Quite and peaceful. Staff are friendly.
We stayed at We Valley Hotel for 4 nights. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful mountain view — waking up to that was the highlight of our stay. However, there were a few issues. On the third day, the elevator wasn’t working, so we had to use the stairs. Breakfast options are limited and repetitive, so if you’re looking for variety, this may not be the best choice. Great location that is walkable to the conference center. Breakfast buffet was great! Comfortable, clean room!
Room at a good standard but slightly small. Phuket Sea Food restaurant within walking distance. Its all you need.
Hotel is reasonable. Parking is very limited and kind of annoying. Staff seem to use most of the on site parking. Essentially there is only 6 parking spots. It’s more than likely you have to use the overflow parking beside another hotel down the street. There is no shade covering for this lot.

Pros: During my 7-day trip to Chiang Mai, this hotel was by far the cleanest and most similar to a hotel back home. It was spotless, and the service was excellent, with staff helping with luggage. Initial welcome was poor. The staff were not very welcoming and we had issues parking our car which upset my girlfriend.
